• Windowsless property is not working in Firefox ONLY

I have added plugin property windowless=true, enablehtmlaccess=true,background=transparent. On Silverlight I have added a Button "Continue" at Top & Bottom, which shows some message on that click. Well I got the selection part right, but at a dead end right now, any ideas?   I would like to convert any instances of a hashtag in a String into a linked URL: #hashtag - should have "#hashtag" linked. This is a #hashtag - should have "#hashtag" linked. This is a [url=http://www.mysite.com/#name]named anchor[/url] - should not be linked. This isn&#39;t a pretty way to use quotes - should not be linked.   I've used VIM for many years as my primary text editor. And I am still learning how to use VIM for various editing tasks. The problem is that even if I learn something and use it once a week I forgot soon how I did it -- classic case is search and replace in many buffers using bufdo :(. I was wondering if there is any kata to daily VIM practice including many VIM commands: open existing files, create new files, edit files and move around: move cursor (beginning & end of line/function/block/screen, top & bottom of screen, move screen line up/down, etc.), mark, copy & paste, insert & remove characters/words/lines, move between buffers, move between windows, arrange windows, search & replace, repeat last command, formatting (=), probably some more (bookmarks, macros). save files, create/update/save an open projects (mksession and source). Do you know any kata for VIM of tutorial which could help to practice all above (and more) VIM commands?

• Why does the jQuery on this page work for Internet Explorer 8, but nothing else?

This works great in IE8, but it won't work in Safari, Firefox, or Chrome. Why not? • Checking that all libs and dlls are from the same build?

  I am developing a program in VS C++ 2008. Right now, I have a huge list of dll and lib dependencies and I am adding some more. I worry that when I need to update a dependency by building from source (where I have to manually replace built dlls and libs in the correct place), if I accidently forgot to replace something or vice versa, I may run into a compile and/or runtime problem. And finding which place goes wrong can be a bit difficult. So is there some sort of program or method out there that can suit this task to ease building a program with many updating dependencies?

Multiple slave databases are used for searching and writes are done to a master, which update the slaves using MS SQL replication. Since read activity is more common than write, this has proved to be a cheap way to do database load balancing, without true clustering. I now need to replace the app - are there any C# open-source apps which scale as neatly as this?

• jQuery Rollovers Not Preloading

  $('.ro').hover( function(){ t = $(this); t.attr('src',t.attr('src').replace(/([^.]*)\.(.*)/, "$1_o.$2")); }, function(){ t = $(this); t.attr('src',t.attr('src').replace('_o','')); } ); I use this code so that (for examle) test.gif with the class 'ro' would change to test_o.gif on rollover, the problem is when the images aren't in the cache there is lag on rollover and rolloff. Basically if I clear my cache and visit the test page, everytime I rollover and rolloff the image it is loading the file each time, so you could sit there for hours and it would still be loading the rollover images each time. However, when I refresh the page and the images are now in the cache it works instantly, which is what I need to achieve. I've tried using this http://flesler.blogspot.com/2008/01/jquerypreload.html plugin to preload the images with this $.preload('.ro'); code, but it seems to have no effect. Any ideas?

  Hi everyone, I'm using sIFR on a website that is database driven and it works great. However, I have a news rotator on the home page and sIFR won't replace the text on the tile below the rotating image, so I have to create images for this each time. Example of the site is http://www.aucklandcityfc.com. Put home.asp on the end of the URL to see what it looks like trying to run sIFR by default. What I'd like to be able to do is use sIFR to replace that text as well, and then other people can add stories through the CMS. Alternatively, if there's a better rotator (or possibly a Flash application) that anyone knows of, please let me know. Thanks, Adam

  Hi all, this must be quite simple but I am having great difficulty. You see I am trying to find a string within another string as follows. e = input.indexOf("-->"); s = input.indexOf("<!--"); input = input.replace(input.substring(s, e + 3), " "); The integers e and s are returning -1 in that it was not found and this is causing the replace method to fail. The test string I am using is "Chartered Certified<!--lol--> Accountants (ACCA)". I tried to creat a new string object and pass in the string as an argument as follows e=input.indexOf(new String("<!--")); This yielded the same result. Any ideas ?

• Algorithms to trim leading zeroes from a SQL field?

  I just came across the interesting problem of trying to trim the leading zeroes from a non-numeric field in SQL. (Since it can contain characters, it can't just be converted to a number and then back.) This is what we ended up using: SELECT REPLACE(LTRIM(REPLACE(fieldWithLeadingZeroes,'0',' ')),' ','0') It replaces the zeroes with spaces, left trims it, and then puts the zeroes back in. I thought this was a very clever and interesting way to do it, although not so readable if you've never come across it before. Are there any clearer ways to do this? Any more efficient ways to do this? Or any other ways to do this period? I was intrigued by this problem and would be interested to see any methods of getting around it.

  Sipdroid on Android has a search & replace method, that uses regex. I'm trying to use it to make sure all outgoing calls has a country code in the format 00XX I also want it to put 0045 in front of the number, if no country code is present. The first one, I have solved, but I can't figure out how to do the second thing. Search: \A(((\+)(\d{2})?)|(00(\d{2})?)|)((\d|\s)+)\Z Replace: 00$4$6$7 I'm using http://www.regexplanet.com/simple/index.html to test it, with the test strings: "12345678", "+4512345678" and "004512345678" They should all return "004512345678".
