  • Flush() not working in drupal

    I'm trying to post data from one node to another. The other node contains the for loop which iterates for long time and finally generates the table. I want to display the result after each iteration. I have tried to put "flush();" but it is not working. What should i do to display each iteration result on the node page? Note: If i do it with ob_flush() it works but it then starts printing data above the header which is not suitable. I want all the data inside the node.

  • Programatticaly grabing text from a web page that is dynamically generated.

    There is a website I am trying to pull information from in perl, however the section of the page I need is being generated using javascript so all you see in the source is <div id="results"></div> I need to somehow pull out the contents of that div and save it to a file using perl/proxies/whatever. e.g. the information I want to save would be document.getElementById('results').innerHTML; I am not sure if this is possible or if anyone had any ideas or a way to do this. I was using a lynx source dump for other pages but since I cant straight forward screen scrape this page I came here to ask about it!

  • Facebook page linking to external site sign-up process, capture permission to write to wall in process?

    Hi all, Have had a good hunt through the archive but can't find anyone trying to do this... hope someone familiar with the facebook API can confirm if it's possible? Basically I have a client who wants to replicate their membership sign up process in a tab on their facebook page. The form would still submit to their own website to process, we'd just be replicating the form fields. As an additional requirement they want to capture peoples facebook user ID and get permission to post back to a users wall at the same time... The idea being that once the user is a member we can post back to their wall so their friends see that they've signed up... Basically after a sanity check that: 1) these things are possible to do; 2) the best method to build the form in a FB page - I'm guessing using JS to create all fields & ajax to submit to the external site?   • Code coverage with phpunit; can't get to one place.

    In the xdebug code coverage, it shows the line "return false;" (below "!$r") as not covered by my tests. But, the $sql is basically hard-coded. How do I get coverage on that? Do I overwrite "$table" somehow? Or kill the database server for this part of the test? I guess this is probably telling me I'm not writing my model very well, right? Because I can't test it well. How can I write this better? Since this one line is not covered, the whole method is not covered and the reports are off. I'm fairly new to phpunit.     Scenario :I am trying to build a Mobile Entertainment Portal. It will enable users to download Music & Movies to their Cell Phones... Problem Exp : Suppose I upload 100 folders of Songs, each folder is for one Album. I want a way to generate a page with all the folders name (Album Name) in it. If user click on the page, they should be taken to a page where they get list of all songs in the album. Clicking on any song name will let them download it. Can it be done anyway or will I have to manually design each of the 3 pages for each album. If I do that, its time consuming and also will be difficult to change anything like footer, header...

Any ideas? thanks.

I want to save some fields from these sales. I am fetching that xml with curl and storing on my server.     in my pre_controller hook i have this code for doctrine: $manager = Doctrine_Manager::getInstance(); $conn = Doctrine_Manager::connection($db[$active_group][‘dsn’]); then in my controller i have this code to use doctrine connection i’ve created: $conn-export-createTable(‘test’, array(‘name’ = array(‘type’ = ‘string’))); $conn-execute(‘INSERT INTO test (name) VALUES (?)’, array(‘jwage’)); but $conn is undefined so it wont work. if i put the code in the pre_controller hook it will work. how can i make variables i declare in hooks available for all controllers so that i dont have to create a new connection all the time?

I had at the backend a text field with 0 or 1 as value, but I would like to have also a checkbox as in the frontend. Anyone know what changes to do for this? Thank you.

  • Calling HttpRequest::getRawRequestMessage() without send()

    I am trying to call getRawRequestMessage() to get the raw HTTP content of the request described by a HttpRequest object, but I notice it always returns an empty string if I don't call send() first. Which kind of defeats my purpose (I want to send the data through other means than the HttpRequest's own send() method). Is there any other way to convert a HttpRequest object to it's raw string equivalent? To give more context: I'm working with a complex class that builds a HttpRequest object and sends requests through it and I want to add a new mode to the class that will work through raw sockets instead. The request is already built in the HttpRequest object and I would like to not have to parse the object manually to generate the HTTP message.

    I have tested this on my development computer, but now I have uploaded everything to the production server and I cant read out the value of the cookie. I think the problem lies in the Serialization and Unserialization. if (isset($_COOKIE['watched_ads'])){ $expir = time()+1728000; //20 days $ad_arr = unserialize($_COOKIE['watched_ads']); // HERE IS THE PROBLEM $arr_elem = count($ad_arr); if (in_array($ad_id, $ad_arr) == FALSE){ if ($arr_elem>10){ array_shift($ad_arr); } $ad_arr[]=$ad_id; setcookie('watched_ads', serialize($ad_arr), $expir, '/'); } } When I echo this: count($ad_arr) I receive the expected nr, 1 in this case, so there is a value there. But when I echo the value: echo $ad_arr[0]; I get nothing. Completely blank. No text at all. Anybody have a clue? if you need more info about something let me know...

  • How to programmatically create a node in Drupal 8?

    I'm designing a new module in Drupal 8. It's a long-term project that won't be going public for a few months at least, so I'm using it as a way to figure out what's new. In this module, I want to be able to programmatically create nodes. In Drupal 7, I would do this by creating the object, then calling "node_submit" and "node_save". These functions no longer exist in Drupal 8. Instead, according to the documentation, "Modules and scripts may programmatically submit nodes using the usual form API pattern." I'm at a loss. What does this mean? I've used Form API to create forms in Drupal 7, but I don't get what the docs are saying here. What I'm looking to do is programmatically create at least one and possibly multiple new nodes, based on information not taken directly from a user-presented form. I need to be able to: 1) Specify the content type 2) Specify the URL path 3) Set any other necessary variables that would previously have been handled by the now-obsolete node_object_prepare() 4) Commit the new node object I would prefer to be able to do this in an independent, highly abstracted function not tied to a specific block or form. So what am I missing?
