• Add something to symbol in dynamicly loaded swf (ActionScript 3)

  I have a program written in Flash Builder with Flex 4.6 sdk and swf movie with some symbols inside. Those symbols moving around the stage. What I need is load that swf in my program and replace one of those symbols to my bitmap and show whole swf in flashContainer. • Exploiting Path Traversal Vulnerability

  I have a Java Web App running on Tomcat on which I'm supposed to exploit Path traversal vulnerability. There is a section (in the App) at which I can upload a .zip file, which gets extracted in the server's /tmp directory. The content of the .zip file is not being checked, so basically I could put anything in it. I tried putting a .jsp file in it and it extracts perfectly. My problem is that I don't know how to reach this file as a "normal" user from browser. I tried entering ../../../tmp/somepage.jsp in the address bar, but Tomcat just strips the ../ and gives me http://localhost:8080/tmp/ resource not available. Ideal would be if I could somehow rename the somepage.jsp so that it gets extracted in the web directory of the Web App. But then, the Linux filesystem disallows slashes in filenames (e.g. ../../home/webapp/somepage.jsp). Are there maybe any escape sequences that would translate to / after extracting? Any ideas would be highly appreciated. Note: This is a school project in a Security course where I'm supposed to locate vulnerabilities and correct them. Not trying to harm anyone...

• Stop lazy-loading images?

  Here's the issue – I followed along with the Apple lazy-load image sample code to handle my graphical tables. It works great. However, my lazy-load image tables are being stacked within a navigation controller so that you can move in and out of menus. While all this works, I'm getting a persistent crash when I move into a table then move immediately back out of it using the "back" button. This appears to be a result of the network connections loading content not being closed properly, or calling back to their released delegates. Now, I've tried working through this and carefully setting all delegates to nil and calling close on all open network connections before releasing a menu. However, I'm still getting the error. Also – short posting my entire application code into this post, I can't really post a specific code snippet that illustrates this situation. I wonder if anyone has ideas for tasks that I may be missing? Do I need to do anything to close a network connection other than closing it and setting it to nil? Also, I'm new to debugging tools – can anyone suggest a good tool to use to watch network connections and see what's causing them to fail? Thanks!

• Returning JSON or XML for Exceptions in Jersey

  My goal is to have an error bean returned on a 404 with a descriptive message when a object is not found, and return the same MIME type that was requested. I have a look up resource, which will return the specified object in XML or JSON based on the URI (I have setup the com.sun.jersey.config.property.resourceConfigClass servlet parameter so I dont need the Accept header.   Hi, I have copied a DB from one my computers and using it here. On trying to open the page which requires the fetching content from DB, on con.open I am getting this exception: Unable to open the physical file "E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\cakephp.mdf". Operating system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)". Unable to open the physical file "E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\cakephp_log.LDF". Operating system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)". Cannot open database "cakephp" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'Sarin-PC\Sarin'. I have attached the database from Management Studio Express 2008 and I have also checcked the connection string. Here it is: <connectionStrings> <add name="cn" connectionString="server=.\sqlexpress;database=cakephp;integrated security=true;uid=sarin;pwd=******"/> </connectionStrings> In Visual Studio, when I test the connection, it says "Test connection succeeded". However, there is one strange thing going on. When I login to the Management Studio, there is no + sign with the newly attached database, as shown. • Can I create a two-column layout that fluidly adapts to narrow windows?

  I'm trying to design a page that has two columns of content, div#left and div#right. (I know these aren't proper semantic identifiers, but it makes explaining easier) The widths of both columns are fixed. Desired result - Wide viewport When the viewport is too narrow to display both side-by-side, I want #right to be stacked on top of #left, like this: Desired result - narrow viewport My first thought was simply to apply float: left to #left and float: right to #right, but that makes #right attach itself to the right side of the window (which is the proper behavior for float, after all), leaving an empty space. This also leaves a big gap between the columns when the browser window is really wide. Wrong - div#right is not flush with the left side of the viewport Wrong - div#right is not on top of div#left Applying float: left to both divs would result in the wrong one moving to the bottom when the window was too small. I could probably do this with media queries, but IE doesn't support those until version 9. The source order is unimportant, but I need something that works in IE7 minimum. Is this possible to do without resorting to Javascript?

• Have a clickable button on top of a combobox in WPF

  I can get a button to appear and be clickable in the drop down list of a combo box, but I cannot get the selected combo box item (the drop list is closed) to have the button be clickable. It always skips the button click and just opens the drop down list. I basically want the Button_Click event handler that I setup to be called once it is clicked. • issue with tab bar view displaying a compound view

  I created a tab bar application, and I make the first tab a table. So I create a tableView controller, and go about setting the class identity of the view controller for the first tab to my tableView controller. This works fine, and I see the contents of the table filling up the whole screen. However, this is not what I actually want in the end goal - I would like a compound window having multiple views: - the aforementioned table - a custom view with data in it So what I do is create a nib for this content (call it contentNib), change the tab's class from the tableView controller to a generic UIViewController, and set the nib of that tab to this new contentNib. In this new contentNib I drag on a tableView and set File's Owner to the TableViewController. I then link the dataSource and delegate to file's owner (which is TableViewController). Surprisingly this does not work and I receive the error: **Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[UIViewController tableView:numberOfRowsInSection:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3b0f910'** This is bewildering to me since the file's owner is the TableViewController, which has been assigned to be both the dataSource and delegate. Does someone have either insight into my confusions, or a link to an example of how to have a compound view include a tableView? *update* I see this in the Apple TableView programming guide: "Note: You should use a UIViewController subclass rather than a subclass of UITableViewController to manage a table view if the view to be managed is composed of multiple subviews, one of which is a table view. The default behavior of the UITableViewController class is to make the table view fill the screen between the navigation bar and the tab bar (if either are present)." <----- I don't really get what this is telling me to do though... if someone can explain or point me to an example I'd be much appreciated!

• Representing versions of objects with CakePHP

  Hi people, Have just started to get into CakePHP since a couple of weeks back. I have some experience with MVC-frameworks, but this problem holds me back a bit. I am currently working on a model foo, containing a primary id and some attributes. Since a complete history of the changes of foo is necessary, the content of foo is saved in the table foo_content. The two tables are connected through foo_content.foo_id = foo.id, in Cake with a foo hasMany foo_content-relationship. To track the versions of foo, foo_content also contains the column version, and foo itself the field currentVersion. The version is an number incremented by one everytime the user updates foo. This is an older native PHP-app btw, to be rewritten on top of Cake. 9 times out of 10 in the app, the most recent version (foo.currentVersion) is the db-entry that need to be represented in the frontend. My question is simply: is there someway of representing this directly in the model? Or does this kind of logic simply need to be defined in the controller? Most grateful for your help!

• redirect web app results to own application

  Is it possible to redirect a web apps results to a second application? I cannot parse the html source. It contains the javascript functions that execute the queries but all the content is probably server side. I hope this makes sense. The owner has made the script available but I am not sure how this helps. Can I using .net call the site and redirect results perhaps to a file or database? the app accesses one of googles apis and performs searches/queries and returns results which are displayed on the site. Now all the javascript functions that perform these queries are listed in the source but I do not know javascript so it does not make much sense to me. I have used the documentation which uses the oauth protocol to access the api and have implemented that in my web app but it took me nearly a week to get the request token right and now to send requests to the api, sometimes I get one result back and sometimes none. It is frustrating me and the owner of the web app has given use of his script but he says all that happens is that my browser interacts with the google api and not his server. So I thought why not have my web app call his, since his interacts with the API flawlessly and have the results sent to my app to save in a database. I have very little experience here so pardon my ignorance

• Strange behaviour when collapsing lines in XML bound WPF Datagrid

  i am using a wpf datagrid with a xml file as DataContext. All working good except for iterating thorough the table and collapsing individual rows. There are several checkboxes where the user can decide which kinds of rows he wants to see, dependent on their error level string. If a checkbox is checked, some of the rows are collapsed, others not. You need to uncheck the checkbox and check it again to collapse the ones of the first try and some of the others. If you recheck it again more rows are collapsed every time. I guess it has something to do with how much of the list is actually visible and how much not because of the window size. • Read huge free text docs in one file for lucene indexing

  I have heaps of free text news docs in one big file. The structure of each news doc is like: (Header line) Category, Doc1, Date (day, month, year) (body text) ... ... ... (Header line) Category, Doc2, Date (day, month, year) (body text) ... ... ... If I extract each doc from the big file, it costs too much time and not efficient. Therefore, I decide to read the file line by line and feed information to lucene the same time. I write c# code to index each doc to lucene like: Streamreader sr = new Streamreader(file); string line = ""; while((line = sr.ReadLine()) != null) { How can I tell this line is a doc header line from text line and get the metadata and all the text lines of a doc for lucene to index. Also, the text is read by OCR which can not give correct line-separating. Captions are mixed with content text iterate the process till the end of the file } with thanks

• layout problems with site

  I have a problem with my site. When I resize the window everything stays still and doesn't move, the window just crosses over everything. Here are the images to epxlain it a bit better.. hopefully. • Problem setting dynamic UITableViewCell height

  I've got a UITableView with two dynamic rows. Each of the rows is a subclass of UITableViewCell and is loaded from nib. As my rows contain dynamic content, I use layoutSubviews to reposition all subviews: - (void)layoutSubviews { [super layoutSubviews]; CGFloat initialHeight = titleLabel.bounds.size.height; CGSize constraintSize = CGSizeMake(titleLabel.bounds.size.width, MAXFLOAT); CGSize size = [titleLabel.text sizeWithFont:titleLabel.font constrainedToSize:constraintSize]; CGFloat delta = size.height - initialHeight; CGRect titleFrame = titleLabel.frame; titleFrame.size.height += delta; titleLabel.frame = titleFrame; locationLabel.frame = CGRectOffset(locationLabel.frame, 0, delta); dayLabel.frame = CGRectOffset(dayLabel.frame, 0, delta); timeLabel.frame = CGRectOffset(timeLabel.frame, 0, delta); } The problem is that I can't find a way to determine the height in table view delegate's tableView:heightForRowAtIndexPath: method. The trick is that I load cell from nib, so just after it's loaded titleLabel.bounds.size.width is 300 px (as in nib), not taking into account type of the device (iPhone/iPad) and current orientation, so it seems impossible to calculate the height without conditional checks for orientation and device type. Any ideas?

• Can't access media assets in an SWC

  I'm having trouble accessing content in an SWC. The main project compiles without error, but the assets (sound, music) aren't displayed or played. My workflow: i. Using Flash CS5 1. Create MAsset.fla 2. Import sounds, art 3. Assign class names, check export in frame 1 4a. Write out the classes in the actions panel in frame 1 4b. OR. Add a document class and write out the classes there 5. Export SWC. Filesize is similar to what it is when I directly import assets in the main project library. 6. Create Project.fla and document class Project.as 7. Import SWC into main project through the Actionscript panel. 8. Add code, which calls the class names from the SWC (e.g. DCL_UI_MOUSE) 9. Compile. No compiler errors, but nothing doing. And the resulting SWF filesize doesn't reflect anything more than the compiled code from the main project. Regarding step 4, if I just write the class name in the root timeline or document class, the compiler error will go away and the asset appear to be compiled in the SWC. But I have also tried: var asset0000:DCL_UI_MOUSE; And: var asset0000:DCL_UI_MOUSE = new DCL_UI_MOUSE(); Regardless the assets don't make it into the final SWF. What am I doing wrong?

• Single Loader to multiple Sprite Possible?

  I've looked in various resources regarding this topic, and it seems to me that I need a Loader for every Sprite which contains an image file (png). I'm trying to make a Tile Rendering System, and have created a grid of X by Y sprites, but all of them actually reference the same image file. Is there any other way to do this? • jQuery & IE crashing on $('#someDiv').hide();

  Well after a while of scratching my head and going "huh?" trying to figure out why IE would straight up crash when loading one of my pages loaded with jQuery goodness, I narrowed down the culprit to this line $('div#questions').hide(); And when I say IE crashes, I mean it fully crashes, attempting to do its webpage recovery nonsense that fails. I am running jQuery 1.4.2 and using IE 8 (haven't tested with any other versions) my current workaround is this: if ($.browser.msie) { window.location = "http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html"; } For some reason I feel my IE users won't be very pleased with this solution though. The div in question has a lot of content in it and other divs that get hidden and displayed again, and all of that works just fine and dandy, it is only when the giant parent div is hidden that IE flips out and stabs itself. Has anyone encountered this or have any possible ideas of what is going wrong? EDIT: Everything is wrapped up in the $(document).ready(function() { }); And my code is all internal so I can't link it unfortunately.

• mod_rewrite: no access to real files and directories

  Hello. I use mod_rewrite/.htaccess for pretty URLs. I forward all the requests to my index.php, like this: RewriteRule ^/?([a-zA-Z0-9/-]+)/?$ /index.php [NC,L] The index.php then handles the requests. I'm also using this condition/rule to eliminate trailing slashes (or rather rewrite them to the URL without a trailing slash, with a 301 redirect; I'm doing this to avoid duplicate content and because I like no trailing slashes better): RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^\.localhost$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+)/$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] This works well, except that I now get an infinite loop when trying to access a (real) directory (the rewrite rule removes the trailing slash, the server adds it again, ...). I solved this by setting the DirectorySlash directive to Off: DirectorySlash Off I don't know how good this solution is, I don't feel too confident about it tbh. Anyway, what I'd like to do is completely ignore "real" files and directories, since I don't need them and I only use pretty URLs with "virtual" files/directories anyway. This would allow me to avoid the DirectorySlash workaround/hack too. Is this possible? Thanks!
