• CCNet: "Failing Tasks : FilteredSourceControl: CheckForModifications" error

  I've installed CCNet and now I'm trying to set up a link to our repository. When I visit the CCNet dashboard website the project shows up ok, but when I click the Force button I receive this error in the messages column: Failing Tasks : FilteredSourceControl: CheckForModifications If I log into the server as the account which I've specified CCNet should use to connect to the repository, and do an Update on the project by hand (i.e. using SVN.exe or TortoiseSVN) the update works fine. My sourcecontrol section of the CCNet.config file is below. <sourcecontrol type="filtered"> <sourceControlProvider type="svn" autoGetSource="true"> <executable>E:\SVNServer\bin\svn.exe</executable> <trunkUrl> https://bserver.int:4443/trunk </trunkUrl> <workingDirectory>E:\buildserver</workingDirectory> <username>USER</username> <password>PASSWORD</password> </sourceControlProvider> <inclusionFilters> <pathFilter> <pattern>**/*.*</pattern> </pathFilter> </inclusionFilters> </sourcecontrol> Both the cruisecontrol.net website and google seem utterly devoid of any information on this error, other than that it probably relates to the inclusionfilter section in the block above. • Debugger Visualizer, ElementHost, and Edit and Continue problems

  I recently wrote a custom Debugger Visualizer for Visual Studio 2008 for one of the custom types in my application. The UI for the visualizer is written in WPF and is hosted in an element host and shown using the IDialogVisualizerService windowService object. Everything works great, and my visualizer loads and shows the relevant information, but if try to "edit and continue" in my application after loading the visualizer, Visual Studio crashes with no useful error message. In trying to debug this I removed almost all of my code from the solution to the point where I was only serializing a string with the ObjectSource and displaying just an empty element host and I still get the crash on edit and continue. If I remove the element host and show a WinForms control or form there is no crash. • Fade out when user leaves page — jquery

  I have some simple page transitions that fade in, once the user has landed. However, I'm also trying to make the same page fade out, when the user leaves. I have found a few solutions, but they appeared to use delay(). Are there any that don't? Thanks for any help, (I'm new to this, mind!) • SerializationException Occurring Only in Release Mode

  Hi, I am working on an ASP.NET web app using Visual Studio 2008 and a third-party library. Things are fine in my development environment. Things are also good if the web app is deployed in Debug configuration. However, when it is deployed in Release mode, SerializationExceptions appear intermittently, breaking other functionality. Using FUSLOGVW.exe (i.e., Assembly Binding Log Viewer), I can see the problem is that IIS attempts to find MyThirdPartyLibrary in directory C:\windows\system32\inetsrv. • How to separate ear classloader and system classloader in JBoss 6?

  I'm trying to upgrade from JBoss 4.2.1 to JBoss 6. In JBoss 4.2.1, we are manually deploying our application as an exploded war and everything works beautifully. I'm running into problems because the application that I am trying to deploy uses versions of 3rd party libraries that are older than the ones that JBoss 6 now includes by default. The result of this is that I'm getting classloader conflicts all over the place and the application won't even start. At present, I have tried using the JBoss Classloading Documentation as well as the scanty bits of documentation for jboss-classloading.xml and haven't had any success. Has anyone out there managed to do this successfully? If you have, how did you do it? I've included a stack trace below in case it offers any useful information. • Javascript/CSS rollover menus are patented and subject to licensing?

  Very interesting finding that a client brought to my attention today regarding javascript style rollover menus. They got a call from their legal dept that they need to change the manner in which their rollover menu is activated (at the risk of having to pay license to continue using the navigation technique). Its no April fools joke, apparently this is really happening. Apparently a company named Webvention LLC has obtained enforcement rights to a patent, U.S. Patent No. 5,251,294 - "Accessing, assembling, and using bodies of Information." A menu link, that when rolled over, expands to show a list of categorized, related links. Dropdown menus and slide-out menus are examples of this patented navigational methodology. A key component of this patent is that the dropdown/slide-out action must be initiated by a rollover or mouseover event. If the dropdown/slide-out action is initiated by any other event, such as a mouse-click event, then this behavior is not in violation of the patent. • Using jQuery.UI CSS Framework for DIV Styling

  Hi folks, a Project I am currently working on uses the jQuery UI framework for some of its widgets. To provide the user with a global look and feel I would like to use the framework also for its css stuff. I am implementing at the moment a dashboard like homepage, where the user can see an overall status of its data. This dashboard is build of some divs that should be aligned into a grid layout. I try to style the divs like follows <div class="ui-widget"> <div class="ui-widget-header">Box Header</div> <div class="ui-widget-content"> Content of the Box </div> </div> Later I would like to implement some draggable-and-sortable functionality. The Problem I am facing right now is that the boxes aren't properly aligned. Does anyone has a hint on using jQuery.UI for that kind of css work? When I hit the refresh teh page, this time, I get the same wanting as I originally get in IE8, but when I click "Continue to this website (not recommended)", the page refresh again, displaying the same warning. What can I do to get the site to display in the WebBrowser control as it does in IE8. I would've thought that the control would be using the same core logic and therefore expected the same result.

• matplotlib.pyplot/pylab not updating figure while isinteractive(), using ipython -pylab

  There are a lot of questions about matplotlib, pylab, pyplot, ipython, so I'm sorry if you're sick of seeing this asked. I'll try to be as specific as I can, because I've been looking through people's questions and looking at documentation for pyplot and pylab, and I still am not sure what I'm doing wrong. On with the code: Goal: plot a figure every .5 seconds, and update the figure as soon as the plot command is called. My attempt at coding this follows (running on ipython -pylab): import time ion() x=linspace(-1,1,51) plot(sin(x)) for i in range(10): plot([sin(i+j) for j in x]) #see ** print i time.sleep(1) print 'Done' It correctly plots each line, but not until it has exited the for loop. I have tried forcing a redraw by putting draw() where ** is, but that doesn't seem to work either. Ideally, I'd like to have it simply add each line, instead of doing a full redraw. If redrawing is required however, that's fine. Additional attempts at solving: just after ion(), tried adding hold(True) to no avail. for kicks tried show() for ** The closest answer I've found to what I'm trying to do was at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2310851/plotting-lines-without-blocking-execution, but show() isn't doing anything. I apologize if this is a straightforward request, and I'm looking past something so obvious. For what it's worth, this came up while I was trying to convert matlab code from class to some python for my own use. The original matlab (initializations removed) which I have been trying to convert follows: for i=1:time plot(u) hold on pause(.01) for j=2:n-1 v(j)=u(j)-2*u(j-1) end v(1)= pi u=v end Any help, even if it's just "look up this_method" would be excellent, so I can at least narrow my efforts to figuring out how to use that method. If there's any more information that would be useful, let me know.

• Broken tables in RichTextBox control (word wrap)

  We are having problems with the Windows.Forms.RichTextBox control in Visual Studio 2008. We are trying to display text supplied as an RTF file by a 3rd party in a windows forms application (.NET 3.5). In this RTF text file there are tables, which contain text that spans multiple lines. The RTF file displays correctly when opened with either WordPad or Word 2003. However, when we load the RTF file into the RichTextBox control, or copy & paste the whole text (including the table) into the control, the table does not display correctly - the cells are only single line, without wrapping. I have found this exact problem asked on another forum without an answer (in fact that's where the link to the images come from) so I'm hoping stack overflow does better ;-) My preferred solution would be to use code or a 3rd party control that can correctly render the RTF. However, I suspect the problem is that the RichTextBox control only supports a subset of the full RTF spec, so another option would be to modify the RTF directly to remove the unsupported control codes or otherwise fix the RTF file itself (in which case any information as to what control codes need to be removed or modified would be a huge help).

• Passing a NSArray between classes

  So, my second question based off of this application I'm teaching myself Objective C with. I have a Data Source class, which for now looks mostly like: - (id) init { if (self = [super init]){ listNames = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects: @"Grocery", @"Wedding", @"History class",@"CS Class",@"Robotics",@"Nuclear Sciences", @"Video",@"Library",@"Funeral", nil]; NSLog(@"%@",listNames); } return self; } The .h looks as follows: @interface MainViewDataSource : NSObject { NSArray *listNames; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSArray *listNames; -(NSArray *)getListNames; So that's where I make it. Now the problem is that when I try to get the array listNames, it returns nothing. The following piece: NSArray* data = [listData listNames]; Is supposed to put the information in listNames in data, but... isn't. Since I'm rather used to JAva, I'm betting this is an Objective C quirk that I don't know how to fix. Which is why I'd be here asking for help. What's the proper way to pass around NSArrays like this?

• Fast string suffix checking in C# (.NET 4.0)?

  What is the fastest method of checking string suffixes in C#? I need to check each string in a large list (anywhere from 5000 to 100000 items) for a particular term. The term is guaranteed never to be embedded within the string. In other words, if the string contains the term, it will be at the end of the string. The string is also guaranteed to be longer than the suffix. Cultural information is not important. These are how different methods performed against 100000 strings (half of them have the suffix): 1. Substring Comparison - 13.60ms 2. String.Contains - 22.33ms 3. CompareInfo.IsSuffix - 24.60ms 4. String.EndsWith - 29.08ms 5. String.LastIndexOf - 30.68ms These are average times. [Edit] Forgot to mention that the strings also get put into separate lists, but this is not important. It does add to the running time though. On my system substring comparison (extracting the end of the string using the String.Substring method and comparing it to the suffix term) is consistently the fastest when tested against 100000 strings. The problem with using substring comparison though is that Garbage Collection can slow it down considerably (more than the other methods) because String.Substring creates new strings. The effect is not as bad in .NET 4.0 as it was in 3.5 and below, but it is still noticeable. In my tests, String.Substring performed consistently slower on sets of 12000-13000 strings.   I'm running some tests using Robotium on an Android application that interacts with a web-portal. I'd like to save some information to file; for example I need to save the id of the username I created from the app and I want to make it read from Selenium to run tests on web-portal to verify a webpage for that user has been created. Is it possible? Could someone suggest me a solution or a work-around? • How do I code Citrix web sites to use a Secure Gateway (CSG)?

  I'm using Citrix's sample code as a base and trying to get it to generate ICA files that direct the client to use their Secure Gateway (CSG) provider. My configuration is that the ICA file's server address is replaced with a CSG ticket and traffic is forced to go to the CSG. The challenge is that both the Citrix App Server (that's providing the ICA session on 1494) and the CSG have to coordinate through a Secure Ticket Authority (STA). That means that my code needs to talk to the STA as it creates the ICA file because STA holds a ticket that the CSG needs embedded into the ICA file. Confusing? Sure! But it's much more secure. The pre-CSG code looks like this: AppLaunchInfo launchInfo = (AppLaunchInfo)userContext.launchApp(appID, new AppLaunchParams(ClientType.ICA_30)); ICAFile icaFile = userContext.convertToICAFile(launchInfo, null, null); I tried to the SSLEnabled information to the ICA generation, but it was not enough. here's that code: launchInfo.setSSLEnabled(true); launchInfo.setSSLAddress(new ServiceAddress("CSG URL", 443)); Now, it looks like I need to register the STA when I configure my farm: ConnectionRoutingPolicy policy = config.getDMZRoutingPolicy(); policy.getRules().clear(); //Set the Secure Ticketing Authorities (STAs). • Inserting variable into routes - map.resources :posts, :as => X - is this possible?

  Ok, so I am working on a blog application of sorts. Thus far, it allows for a user to sign up for their own account, create posts, tags, comments, etc. I have just implemented the ability to use www.myapp.com/brandon to set @user to find by username and therefore correctly display the users information at each url. So when you go to www.myapp.com/brandon you see all Brandon's posts, tags, and comments associated with those posts, etc. Works great. I'm implementing this URL mapping through the routes.rb file by adding the following: map.username_link '/:username', :controller => 'posts', :action => 'index' And then just setting the @user variable in the PostController and corresponding views to find_by_username. Now the issue is this. Once at www.myapp.com/brandon when you click on a post title, it sends to myapp.com/posts/id without the username in the URL. How do I tell rails to replace the /posts with /username. Is it even possible to insert the user_username variable into this code? map.resources :posts, :as => [what goes here]

• Implementing the outside application „openedFileView“ in c# Project

  I work on a application where i want to find out which files on my filesystem is used by a Process. After trying around with the System.Diagnostics.Process class, and didn´t get the resulst i wanted i find the application called OpenedFileView from Nirsoft. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/opened_files_view.html Basically it does exactly what i want but i have some problems with the implimication in my project. The option wich “OpenedFileView” gives you is to start it with some arguments that it creates you an txt file with all the information i want. But for my case i want to whach the processes in realtime, and if i start the application repetitively i always have the hourglass at my mouse cursor. So after this i tryed some ways to get rid of it, tryed out to put it in a BackgroundWorker Thread. But this changed nothing at all. I also looked for a way to force the Process not to exit, and sending new arguments to it, but this also didn´t worked. So is there any way to use this application in the way I want, or does this didn´t work at all? I hope somebody can help me either with getting away this annoying mouse cursor hourglass, or with a better implimication of this application so i can use it in realtime! • PHP Codeigniter Undefined Offset Error

  Hello, I am building a Codeigniter shopping cart. On the cart details page I have a form input field allowing the user to type in the quantity required of a product, and a submit button to post the information to the update function. When there is just one item in the cart, when updating the quantity everything works as it should. • Detecting which MCUs to connect on an incoming conference

  Hello, SO. I'm working with the OCS UCCAPI, developing a custom OCS client. I'm currently having a hard time detecting what "kind" of Conference my client is being invited to. Using the Office Communicator client, I can start "IM conferences" (by inviting more than 1 person and selecting "start a IM conversation") or "video conferences" (by selecting more than 1 person and selecting "start a video call"). The Office Communicator client, on the invitees' end, starts correctly the appropriate session (just IM, just Video or IM+Video). However, when receiving the conference invite on my custom client, there's no data about the kind of session I'm being invited. I need this information, in order to make a decision whether or not to connect to the AV MCU and capture/show video. I've tried already: When handling _IUccSessionManagerEvents.OnIncomingSession, parse the RemoteSessionDescription property on the UccIncomingInvitationEvent object: no luck, the only data about the conference modality is an element on the XML about the IM being enabled or not (<im available="true"> or <im available="false">), but nothing about the session having video available or not. When handling _IUccConferenceSessionEvents.OnEnter, check the Media property on the UccConferenceSession. Don't work, all media types are present (MESSAGE, AUDIO, VIDEO, DATA e TELEPHONY), regardless of the type of conference I'm being invited. Also when handling _IUccConferenceSessionEvents.OnEnter, check the Entities collection on the UccConferenceView object, to check which MCUs are enabled for this conference. Don't work either, all MUCs are listed as available (IM, AV, DATA and CONTROL), regardless of the type of conference I'm being invited. I'm running out of ideas. • How to debug UrlRewriter.NET?

  I have looked at their help page it seems like I can register a debug logger that outputs information to the 'standard ASP.NET debug window'. My problem is I don't know what that means, if it means the debug output window in Visual Studio (where you see build output, debug output and more) I am not seeing any UrlRewriter debug output. The rules are working (mostly) I just want to get more debug output to fix issues. I added the register call to the rewriter section like this: <rewriter> <register logger="Intelligencia.UrlRewriter.Logging.DebugLogger, Intelligencia.UrlRewriter" /> .... </rewriter> I am hosting this website locally in IIS on Vista, to debug it I attach the debugger to the w3wp process. Other selected parts from the web.config" <compilation debug="true"> <assemblies> ... </assemblies> </compilation> <trace enabled="true"/> Where should I see the debug output from UrlRewriter.NET? If it is in the Visual Studio debug output window, any ideas why I am not seeing it there?

IE 6 & 7 render correctly, and I can solve the IE8 problem by triggering compatibility mode, but I'd rather not do that. Does anyone have any experience with this? • How can I get a Silverlight application to check for an update without the user clicking a button?

  I have made an out-of-browser silverlight application which I want to automatically update every time there is a new .xap file uploaded to the server. When the user right-clicks the application and clicks on Updates, the default is set to "Check for updates, but let me choose whether to download and install them": This leads me to believe that it is possible to make my Silverlight application automatically detect if there is a new .xap file present on the server, and if there is, the Silverlight client will automatically ask the user if he would like to install it. This however is not the case. I upload a new .xap file and the Silverlight application does nothing. Even if I add this to my App.xaml.cs: -- private void Application_Startup(object sender, StartupEventArgs e) { this.RootVisual = new BaseApp(); if (Application.Current.IsRunningOutOfBrowser) { Application.Current.CheckAndDownloadUpdateAsync(); } } and update the .xap file, the Silverlight application does nothing. This information leads me to believe that I have to make a button which the user clicks to see if there is an update. But I don't want the user to have to click a button every day to see if there is an update. I want the application to check by itself if there is a new .xap file and if there is, let the client ask the user if he wants the update. How do I make my Silverlight application check, each time it starts, if there is a new .xap file, and if there is, pass control to the Silverlight client to ask the user if he wants to download it, as the above dialogue implies is possible?
