    PHP 5.3.3 compiled on Mac OS X 10.6 - using /usr/lib when trying to start Apache... rather than /opt/local/lib specified when PHP was configured. Why is it trying to load from /usr/lib when I specified in my configure not to? httpd: Syntax error on line 115 of /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/libexec/apache2/libphp5.so into server: dlopen(/usr/libexec/apache2/libphp5.so, 10): Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib\n Referenced from: /usr/libexec/apache2/libphp5.so\n Reason: Incompatible library version: libphp5.so requires version 8.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 7.0.0 The error message above refers to /opt/local/lib which when I run: otool -LD /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib Message: /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib: /opt/local/lib/libiconv.2.dylib (compatibility version 8.0.0, current version 8.0.0) /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 125.0.0) It shows that the version is different than what httpd is erring out as. I have a feeling I need to recompile Apache using newer libraries, but the error message still doesn't make too much sense to me.

    I recently compiled and installed Git on a new install of Mac OS 10.6 but it didn't install the documentation. I now realize I should've used the precompiled package offered here: http://code.google.com/p/git-osx-installer/downloads/list How do I remove all the files that I added to my system using make install with the Git source code? Edit: I've had similar problems in the past with other packages, too. For example, ./configure with the incorrect --prefix= or something. What's the general practice for removing unix packages?

    I have a brand new server server that I am trying to get setup up. This is a 64 bit machine that I can not install "fileinfo" or "memcache". I have uninstalled these and reinstalled them using yum and pecl with no luck. Yum install fine "no error" but then get error when running php. pecl from what I can tell is only installing 32bit. Does not put anything in the lib64 directory. I would like to know if, once compiled, these values may change depending on the machine which runs the program. E.g.: if I ran this program in a 64-bit machine, would the output be the same?     I want to setup my Ubuntu 12.04 with OpenCL(Open Computing Language) support for i7 2600k and Radeon HD5870. My Monitor is connected to the integrated Graphics of the i7. Intel OpenCL SDK is installed and working. Iteration of avaliable OpenCL devices shows 2 entries for Intel. As recommended I installed AMD APP SDK 2.6 first and then the fglrx driver.     Can resources be extracted from a compiled iPhone app that is released to the iTunes store? I'm particularly interested in the security of XML files... if I have copyrighted data in an XML document in my resource directory, how likely is it for someone to extract that information and paste it around the internet? If it's as easy as using a resource editor, how can that data be secured?

  • Is it possible to share a C struct in shared memory between apps compiled with different compilers?

    I realize that in general the C and C++ standards gives compiler writers a lot of latitude. But in particular it guarantees that POD types like C struct members have to be laid out in memory the same order that they're listed in the structs definition, and most compilers provide extensions letting you fix the alignment of members. So if you had a header that defined a struct and manually specified the alignment of its members, then compiled two apps with different compilers using the header, shouldn't one app be able to write an instance of the struct into shared memory and the other app be able to read it without errors? I am assuming though that the size of the types contained is consistent across two compilers on the same architecture (it has to be the same platform already since we're talking about shared memory). I realize that this is not always true for some types (e.g. long vs. long long in GCC and MSVC 64-bit) but nowadays there are uint16_t, uint32_t, etc. types, and float and double are specified by IEEE standards.

    I am considering using Spring Security annotations for my application, with the EL (expression language) feature. For example: @PreAuthorize("hasPermission(#contact, 'admin')") public void deletePermission(Contact contact, Sid recipient, Permission permission); I need the EL capability because I have built my own ACL implementation. However, to use this capability with the "#contact" type arguments, the Spring documentation says this: You can access any of the method arguments by name as expression variables, provided your code has debug information compiled in. This begs two questions: It is acceptable to have a production application commercially distributed with debug info in it? If not, is there any way around this? Thanks for any guidance on this!

  • Why aren't APT generated classes being compiled by Eclipse?

    In my Eclipse project I'm using a third-party annotation processor, Hibernate Metamodel Generator to be exact. The annotation processor works as expected and generates files as specified by the spec. These files are generated inside the directory of the Eclipse project under a "gen" folder. In the project properties this is correctly reflected since two source folders exist - "src" and "gen." However, when the project is built for some reason all the [generated] sources under "gen" are not compiled (checking the "bin" directory I only see .class file from the "src" directory). Does anyone know why this is happening?

So I used CentOS 5.4 to compile the Mono sources and generated the Mono framework for CentOS and tested with some sample codes and I am satisfied. I want to transfer this compiled framework to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. How Can I do that? Do I have to compile the Mono framework statically or do I have to copy the linked libraries as well? I am not familiar with linux much. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hello, I am using NetBeans 6.8 on Redhat Linux. Does anyone know how to configure NetBeans to debug (step into) libraries not compiled with NetBeans? In my particular case, I'm trying to debug the VTK library which is built using cmake with the Debug flag set. I've written a C++ application that uses the shared libraries from VTK. Any ideas? I'd tried the obvious things like adding the source locations to the project. Note that with gdb I can debug the application and set breakpoints anywhere in VTK. Any help would be appreciated.
