• Photoshop CS4. How do I make sure my color stays the same in my different .psd files? (could be RGB

  I asked 2 photoshop experts I know but they haven't got a clue because all my settings are exactly the same, in both files. (except the RGB type !! I'm not sure. Please read on) I use RGB color, 72DPI, 8 bits / channel. No adjustments (filters, like greyscale, etc ...) are selected / used. The layers are both normal, and opacity and fill are 100% (yes, in both files). I took two screenshots, and you can see the difference: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30465871@N05/4623864297/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/30465871@N05/4624469754/ Both colors are ff795d, but that doesn't matter, any color I use gives me the same problem: they both look different. Now, I know the CMYK settings (see screenshots) are different, but when the settings are the same the color changes. Why is this happening and how do I solve this problem? My guess is I'm working with different a type of RGB. It's sRGB IE61966 - 2.1 in the file I created (file info raw data) but I can't find that in the file that started with a screenshot. If that's the problem, how do I change / convert the RGB, once the file is already open? Thank you.

I have already played around with the sharpen filters, contrast, levels and the color replacement tool, with decent success. however my question is, what else can be done order to maximize the texts readablity? the picture is also somewhat noisy. Any help on this one would be greatly apreciated, since I absolutely need the images content.

• photshop: why low quality jpg saved as high quality increases the file size?

  i have a low quality background about 85kb. If I open the file in Photoshop and save it, I have to save this image as 100% quality, the file size increases to 640kb. This doesn't make sense, the image si already compressed, the quality cannot be better than the source, so the 100% quality while saving should produce THE SAME FILE OPENED. The problem is, I have this background and want to add a logo image over it, and then save it. But If I do so, i have to save this with 10% quality, and the logo looks horrible. If I save this to 100% quality, the file size is huge... How can I achive this?

Many are using CSS Frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap. • How to automatically generate html table from image in Linux?

  In Photoshop, you can easily devide the image into zones using point and click and it automatically generates the corresponding html with image slices addressed in tables. Gimp also has a Slice (Filter Web Slice) but it is so rudimentary and, as far as I can see, does not allow point and click selection of slices. I am wondering if the functionality can be added into Gimp, or there are other Linux software to do this. I hate to return to Windows jut to do this simple task which I happen to use frequently. • Photoshop changes tablet screen area

  Usually my Wacom Bamboo tablets screen area (Area which cursor can go using tablet) is as set - One (1280x1024) monitor. However, when I run any Adobe Product, such as PhotoShop or Illustrator (CS5 or CS4), and it is the active window, my screen area reduces to around 400x400, effectively making itself absolutely useless. If another program is the active window, it works fine. Running Windows 7 32-bit, with up-to-date tablet drivers. Does anyone know a fix for this?

  In web design , it's usually needed to design an image for example in Photoshop and then use multiple sizes of it. but I don't understand something here : When I resize the image (PNG or JPG) and reduce the dimensions of that in Photoshop , the image quality extremely gets reduced and the edges become messy while resizing the image in a simple software like Microsoft Paint gives a really better output! So what's the reason ? Is there a trick in Photoshop for image resizing which I've missed? Thanks for your help.   Ok, so I want to build a small pc for my gf that she can take with her instead of the crappy laptop that she has. Overall I think the complete system should not weight more than 10 lbs. The requirements are to run at least 4 applications simultaneously, and be able to switch between them with no problems: Photoshop Illustrator Word editor Browser Should be able to handle 1920x1200 resolution. I am currently looking at LGA775 socket as I can just transfer my desktop cpu Q6600 to it. Currently deciding between DQ45EK and DG41TX, but any other suggestions are welcome. So I am thinking something along the lines of: MINI-BOX M350 Case with 90 watt psu Q6600 cpu (my desktop cpu) 2x2GB kingston ram (or similar) Video? Need external or built-in G45 on DQ45EK will do? My primary concern is whether the 90WATT is sufficient of the Q6600? Thanks

  Hi, I'm writing a program to notify me of new email. It's mostly complete, I'm just working on the notifyicon code now. It's supposed to display the usual application icon with a box containing the count of unread emails inside it. I created icons for this in photoshop, exported them as 16x16 transparent PNGs, then converted them into windows ico files using ConvertIcon.com. Given that the image was 16x16 and the WinXP system tray uses 16x16 icons, I would assume the images would work. • 7.0.1 and Photoshop openGL requirements

  Hi, I'm running Workstation 7.0.1 on a 64-bit Linux host, with a Vista guest, and the Aero theme works a treat - full marks for getting that working! However, when running Photoshop there are some operations (like interactive image rotation) that seem to require graphics support that VMWare doesn't have - attempting to do these operations returns an error that the functionality "only works with OpenGL enabled windows". It seems that it needs OpenGL 2.0 and Shader Model 3.0 which I gather are supported under Workstation 7 - do I need to put in additional settings of some kind? I've updated to the right version of VMWare Tools, and the video driver is listed as "VMWare SVGA 3D (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)". I see that in 6.5 there was an option to switch between the beta WDDM driver and the SVGAII driver, but I assume the features of both of these would have been merged into the standard driver in 7.0? • Is it possible to fix photos that are taken blurred

  I took pictures with a digital camera and I didn't notice that the blur setting is on so the pictures that were taken were all blurred. The camera has no edit feature. Is it still possible to fix it using photoshop? I followed this tutorial on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpWDihBHRqM which uses photoshop but no luck. As much as possible I want to see the output that is close to a picture that is taken without the blur setting on.

• Best way to slice up a non rectangular image?

  I have the image below and need to create a rollover for each "piece" or arrow in the circle. Because the image isn't rectangular, it boggles how me how I'm going to do this without having badly overlapping pieces. As you can see from the image below, the slices will overlap each other (quite a bit), which will not be good for the rollover. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to accomplish this without resorting to Flash or HTML5? The majority of our site's users use dinosaur browsers that don't support HTML5. • How to get transparent user interface background in Windows 7

  I use Windows 7 Home Premium. Recently, when I came through Photoshop in OSX, I was interested by its user interface. It has got a "100% transparent" user interface background, whereas it's usually gray in Windows. I googled for some glass solutions, but all of them provide a "transparent window" or a semi-transparent one, which makes the complete window transparent. These solutions do not work for me, as I just need the UI (gray) background transparent but require all the other elements (such as nav-bars, control buttons, etc.) to have no transparency. Below is a screenshot of what I'm saying: Is this a feature of Photoshop only? How can I achieve the same in Windows 7? Thanks in advance...:)

• Mac Book Pro and Photosohp working canvas lost off screen somewhere

  I seem to have a unique issue. I have a mac book pro which I often have connected to one or 2 additional monitors, and I think this is in part my issue. Cause when Im at home working with only the built in monitor and I go to open something new or existing in photoshop my canvas if you will call it that is no where to be found. I checked my display settings, its treating it as a one monitor solution. I've tried to in photoshop to bring all my windows to front, Ive tried to cascade and tile my windows, ive tried to reset my work area, and to no avail I can't for the life of me get the canvas to come to my screen so I can work with what ever I intend to work on. Anyone else have this problem or run into similar? How did you fix it?

• Adobe Illustrator Saving to PSD: "Not enough memory to save the file"

  This is on CS5.5 under Windows XP Professional. There seems to be a known issue about saving (large) Adobe Illustrator files to PSD (thoroughly discussed), where the exporter will complain about "Not enough memory to save the file". This happens regardless of the available memory on the computer, and seems to be a limitation in the PSD exporter itself. The only possible solution so far seems to be to copy-n-paste each layer separately from the illustrator file and into the open Photoshop file. We need to keep the layers intact (and not merged), so selecting all the layers at the same time doesn't work. Do anyone have a workaround to the actual, original export issue, or a way to be able to get the layer information into Photoshop without handling each layer separately?
