  • Comma separated values in a database field

    I have a products table. Each row in that table corresponds to a single product and it's identified by a unique Id. Now each product can have multiple "codes" associated with that product. For example: Id | Code ---------------------- 0001 | IN,ON,ME,OH 0002 | ON,VI,AC,ZO 0003 | QA,PS,OO,ME What I'm trying to do is create a stored procedure so that I can pass in a codes like "ON,ME" and have it return every product that contains the "ON" or "ME" code. Since the codes are comma separated, I don't know how I can split those and search them. Is this possible using only TSQL? Edit: It's a mission critical table. I don't have the authority to change it.

    I got a series of divs like this: <div class="message" style="padding-left: 0px;">...</div> <div class="message" style="padding-left: 20px;">...</div> <div class="message" style="padding-left: 20px;">...</div> <div class="message" style="padding-left: 40px;">...</div> <div class="message" style="padding-left: 20px;">...</div> And I would like to make a selector that would get me the divs with padding greater then 20px. Would it be possible with just using jquery? Or I should modify my html tree and add some attribute that would distinguish those elemenents with high padding value?

If there is a hash that does not contain foo the process should fail. @hash_list = ( {foo=>1}, {foo=>2} ); my @list = (); foreach my $item (@hash_list) { push(@list,$item->{foo}); } #list should be (1,2); Is there a more concise way of doing this in Perl?

    I have a decimal variable which represents a donation amount. Currently I am displaying it on screen as a currency like so- DonationAmount.ToString("C"); This gives the following output (given a US locale) 1 -> $1.00 2 -> $2.00 0.5 -> $0.50 I am happy with the first two example, but want to have "0.5" show as "50c". My current solution is with a conditional- if (DonationAmount > 1) return (DonationAmount * 100m).ToString() + "c"; else return DonationAmount.ToString("C"); Is there a better way?

The second problem is that the writing doesn't seem to work. It always give's a "No such file or directory" error. Is there a way to open the ORDER file i made in the first sub without having to make $name not local? Or just a way to write in this file? I really don't know how to start here. I can't really find much info on writing a file that has been closed before, and in a different sub.. Any help is appreciated, Harm

    Hello, I am trying to use md5 code to calculate checksums of file. Now the given function prints out the (previously calculated) checksum on screen, but I want to store it in a variable, to be able to compare it later on. Everything seems to be working, and I'm casting columns into specific types based on the column type in Oracle. The problem I'm having has to do with null dates. I can't seem to find a good way to capture that a date column in Oracle has a null value. Is there any way to cast a [datetime] as null or empty?

    I'm trying to add elements to an array after subsequent trials, but so far only one value is being added to the array. I've Googled and searched stackoverflow, and I seem to be getting only half the picture unless if I'm implementing it wrong. There are about 40 files, which will be needed to be submited one after another, and then a value from each trial is stored in the database.     I understand how declared properties work - I just need a clarification on when Objective C is using the accessor method vs. when it is not. Say I have a property declared using retain: @property (nonatomic, retain) NSDate *date; ... and later... @synthesize date If I say: date = x Is that calling the accessor method? Or is it just setting the variable? self.date = x This seems to call the accessor method (I think but I'm not sure, since it seems like the retain count is increasing). Can anyone clarify this issue? I'm curious because i have some variables that seem to become invalid before I need them (and I have to specifically call retain), and I suspect this is why.

    I have an MVC3 application in Visual Studio 2010. I have a view with several dropdowns that do javascript calls to populate dropdowns based on the selected value, some of which are disabled initially. That all works great with the initial state of nothing. If I however pass routevalues to the dropdowns from a redirect to this action, I do get the value set correctly but it's not enabled like it should be on the dropdown for example and when I post the form, the ones that are greyed out are not passed back on the form. How can I correct this?
