• Multiline for WPF TextBox

  I am developing a app for sending some feedback. Basically i'm trying to make a TextBox for comments, but i'm used to the WinForms MultiLine=true. I've set MinLines to 3, which is getting there, but preferably i'd like if user is able to type wherever in this block, like press enter and do dot points sort of thing - like: - Item 1 blah - Item 2 blahlb lahbvl d But at the moment the text all stays on one line. - Item 1 blah - Item 2 blahb blahb blah This comments will then help fill the body of an email which is sent. It may be pointless if I can't easily keep the same formatting when putting this string into the email body string (so that it looks like it does when sent as it does when typed). Can I achieve what I'm after or do I have to leave it as all text on one line?

  Below is an example of a question given on my last test in a Computer Engineering course. Anyone mind explaining to me how to get the start/end addresses of each? I have listed the correct answers at the bottom... The MSP430F2410 device has an address space of 64 KB (the basic MSP430 architecture). Fill in the table below if we know the following. The first 16 bytes of the address space (starting at the address 0x0000) is reserved for special function registers (IE1, IE2, IFG1, IFG2, etc.), the next 240 bytes is reserved for 8-bit peripheral devices, and the next 256 bytes is reserved for 16-bit peripheral devices. The RAM memory capacity is 2 Kbytes and it starts at the address 0x1100. At the top of the address space is 56KB of flash memory reserved for code and interrupt vector table. • BULK INSERT with inconsitant number of columns

  I am trying to load a large amount data in SQL server from a flat file using BULK INSERT. However, my file has varying number of column, for instance the first row contains 14 and the second contains 4. That is OK, I just want to make a table with the max number of columns and load the file into it with nulls for the missing columns. I can play with it from that point. But it seems that SQL Server when reaching the end of the line and having more columns to fill for that same row in the destination table, just moves on to the next line and attempts to put the data on that line to the wrong column of the table. Is there a way to get the behavior that I am looking for? Is there a table hint that I can use the specify this? Has anyone run into this before? • Positioning elements outside an Activity on Android

  Is there a way to absolutely position an UI element on Android so that it is located outside an Activity? For example: can you create a fullscreen ImageView simply by moving/resizing an ImageView inside an existing regular Activity instead of creating a new fullscreen activity? EDIT: Re-reading my question I see I wasn't very clear about what I'm trying to accomplish. I'd like to temporarily extend an element to cover the notification bar at the top of the screen. I need to create a semitranslucent fullscreen overlay but since translucent activities cannot cover the notification bar I'm trying to find out if it's possible for an element to break out of activity's bounds and resize itself to fill the whole screen, top to bottom.

I supposed i can do it via relation between Id and Parent Id ( and set cascade for delete rule ) , But when i do that in MMS , the Delete Rule or Update Rule in Properties is disabled . My question is , What can i do to accomplish this ? Thank you

• Toottip data issue in jquery flot

  I am using Jquery plot.Every thing is working except tooltip data.   I am using POI to create an Excel spreadsheet in Java. • Flash causing jerky javascript animations

  Hi Guys, I'm developing a site which has a flash background playing a small video loop scaled to fill the whole background. Over the top I have a number of HTML elements which are animated using javascript. The problem I am having is that (predominantly in FF, but also in others to a lesser degree) the flash seems to be causing my javascript animations to run rather jerky, and in some cases missing the animation altogether and just jumping to the end state. Does anybody have any thoughts on how to make the 2 work together nicely? Many thanks Matt

• PHP: Filling in the 'gaps' in an array

  Hey gurus, I've got a php array (obtained through checkbox values in a form - as you know checkboxes only show up in the _POST variable when they are not set). Array ( [2] => 0,2 [3] => 0,3 ) I need a way to 'fill in' the gaps between the range 0-5. So above would look like (filling the empty spaces with '-1'. I tried array_merge() with an array filled with '-1' but that didn't work. Array ( [0] => -1 [2] => 0,2 [3] => 0,3 [4] => -1 [5] => -1 ) I think I may have gone down the wrong road with the problem I am trying to solve, but I have put too much time into this solution to back out - a feeling I am sure most of you are familiar with(!) • create own svn repository hosting

  Hey, Since week I use ToirtoiseSVN and AnkhSVN and GoogleCode and sourceforge.net as my project hosting. For me it's frustrating to fill all this forms before create next project. So I start thinking about mu own repository hosting... Can I use simple file hosting etc. and install there software like use Google or SourceForge to have my own SVN Server ? My point is to have independent repository in internet without all this uselessly UI interface which give me Google and SF to administrate my version control. I don't want to take advantage of already exist hosting like GoogleCode etc - I want to be independent from them! ;) Or maybe it's other way to do my own repository hosting and FREE ;) Please don't tell me that I'm at mercy of commercial hosting... :/ p.s. If I wrote something wrong, sorry ;)

• Linq to SQL Azure genrating Error "Specified cast is not valid."

  B"H I have an application that has been working for months using Linq to SQL connecting to a SQLExpress. I tried migrating it to SQL Azure. I copied the structure and data using the Sync Framework. I viewed the data in SQL Azure using SSMS 2008 R2 and it seams to be exactly what I have in my Sql Server. However when I try to use Linq to SQL against it I get an error "Specified cast is not valid." I seams to be happening any time I get child records. i.e. whenever I fill (the first time I access) an entity set. It seams to be happening after the data returns and when Linq tries to put it into the objects. remember, the application is working perfectly against sqlexpress, even when accessed across the internet or vpn.

• Is it possible to provide a resize indication (resizer-grip) on a form without adding a status bar?

  I would like to have a resize indication on a windows forms Form (the same resize-grip as when you have a status bar). I do not want to add a status bar to the form - that would break the design of the form. The form can have various controls inside that are docked (Fill). I have not found any solution to this besides drawing the resize indication in lower right corner of every control, which is not very feasible. Is this possible without adding a picture of the resize grip to every control that can be docked in the form?

• Google SpreadSheets - When using a time trigger in code, some cells getting '#N/A' value

  I've created a Google spreadsheet with imported data on one cell, extracting specific string to another cell and pasting the data in a table with a trigger for every 2 hours. Now everything works perfectly when running the script manually but when logged out and waiting for the cells to fill, sometimes the pasted cell getting "#N/A" value. • Why won't this SQL CAST work?

  I have a nvarchar(50) column in a SQL Server 2000 table defined as follows: TaskID nvarchar(50) NULL I need to fill this column with some random SQL Unique Identifiers (I am unable to change the column type to uniqueidentifier). I tried this: UPDATE TaskData SET TaskID = CAST(NEWID() AS nvarchar) but I got the following error: Msg 8115, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type nvarchar. I also tried: UPDATE TaskData SET TaskID = CAST(NEWID() AS nvarchar(50)) but then got this error: Msg 8152, Level 16, State 6, Line 1 String or binary data would be truncated. I don't understand why this doesn't work but this does: DECLARE @TaskID nvarchar(50) SET @TaskID = CAST(NEW() AS nvarchar(50)) I also tried CONVERT(nvarchar, NEWID()) and CONVERT(nvarchar(50), NEWID()) but got the same errors.

  Hello, this is just teorethical question. I use JDBC with my Java applications for using database (select, insert, update, delete or whatever). I make "manually" Java classes which will contain data from DB tables (attribute = db column). Than I make querys (ResultSet) and fill those classes with data. I am not sure, if this is the right way. But I've read lot of about JDO and another persistence solutions. Can you please recommend some? Which are modern? Will be used in the future? Some advantages of JDO over JDBC (in simple words). I've been able to google lot of this stuff, but opinions from the "first hand" are always best. Thank you for responses, Mike

• Changing a datatype solely for the purpose of Excel Export in Crystal Reports

  I have a report that has several numerical fields. To fill a project requirement, i had to use the following formula: if {DataTable1.No of Investments}>9999 then '*****' else toText({DataTable1.No of Investments},0) Basically, if the number fed in is bigger than 9999 it turns into * on the report. Now, when i try to export into excel, not only is the data type for all fields, strings...but the * show up versus numbers. I was wondering if there was a way to re-cast this back into a numerical value SOLELY for the purpose of excel exportation so that i'd be able to use excel formulas as well as see numbers instead of asterisks. I'd only be doing data-only excel exports. Any ideas?

• Automatically determining the size of a UITableViewCell

  I am trying to determine the size of a UITableCellView. The reason being that I am using one class for different orientations and devices. The cell contains one subview that is supposed to fill the entire cell. Right know I'm doing this in the UITableViewCell's init method: if (UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() == UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad){ //iPad subv = [[OrbitView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(52, 5, 660, 420) ]; }else{ //iPhone subv = [[OrbitView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(15, 5, 290, 200) ]; } Clearly, there must be a better way of doing this, without the magic numbers. How/Where should I set the frame of the subview in the UITableViewCell so that it fills the entire UITableViewCell?
