  I'm moving my application from 3.x to 4.x as I prepare for the app store and found that I need to have 2 copies of all my custom pngs - my question is how can I determine what img to show and when. Example - how do I know to show the Find.png vs the [email protected] Is it "safe" or "correct" to look for 4.x specific apis or does the iphone have a way to determine what platform you are on at runtime?   I have a custom model class with an NSMutableData ivar that will be accessed by custom NSOperation subclasses (using an NSOperationQueue). I think I can guarantee thread-safe access to the ivar from multiple NSOperations by using dependencies, and I can guarantee that I don't access the ivar from other code (say my main app thread) by waiting until the Q has finished all operations. Should I use a nonatomic property specification, or leave it atomic? Is there a significant impact on performance?

• Drupal is unable to create the "files" folder (and any upload php script as well)

  hi, Drupal cannot create the "files" folder. I tried to upload a php script with mkdir("files",774) but I get a permissions error, so basically any php script is not able to create a folder on the server... What do you suggest ? If I create the folder manually from ftp client and I assign 777 permission everything works perfectly, but it is not safe solution.

The MSDN page on the CB (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd381779(v=VS.100).aspx) states that ConcurrentBag(Of T) is a thread-safe bag implementation, optimized for scenarios where the same thread will be both producing and consuming data stored in the bag So what is the advantage?   C#, .Net2.0, XP, Zen I have 2 threads accessing a shared dictionary of structures, each thread via an event. At the beginning of the event I lock the dictionary, remove some structures, and exit the lock+event. Yet somehow the 2nd thread|event is finding some of the removed structures. Conceptually I must be doing something wrong for this to be happening? I thought locking was supposed to make it thread safe?
