  • Where in maven project's path should I put configuration files that are not considered resources

    I have a simple java maven project. One of my classes when executing needs to load an xml configuration file from the classpath. I dont want to package such xml file when producing the jar but I want to include a default xml file in a zip assemply under a conf subfolder and I also want this default xml to be available in the unit tests to test against it. As I see it there are 2 possible places of this default xml: src/main/resources/conf/default.xml src/main/conf/default.xml Both solutions demand special pom actions: In solution 1, I get the auto copy to target folder during build which means it is available in testing but I also get it in the produced jar which i dont want. In solution 2, I get the jar as I want it(free of the xml) but I manually have to copy the xml to the target folder to be available for testing. (I dont want to add src's subfolders in test classpath. I think it is bad practice). The question is what is the best solution of the two? If the correct is 2, what is the best way to copy it to target folder? Is there any other solution better and more common than those two? (I also read http://stackoverflow.com/questions/465001/where-should-i-put-application-configuration-files-for-a-maven-project but I would like to know the most "correct solution" from the "convention over configuration" point of view and this link provides some configuration type solutions but not any convention oriented. Maybe there isnt one but I ask anyway. Also the solutions provided include AntRun plugin and appAssembler plugin and I wonder if I could do it with out them.)

  • IE to show Full URL path in the Title bar as in Status Bar

    Windows XP and IE8. Tabbed Browsing is OFF. So every single web page has its own title. I want to see in the title the same as I see in the Status bar i.e. I want the full URL of the web page I am viewing to be displayed in the Title bar, and so in the Task bar button too. How to achieve this? Thanks for all the answers in advance. Looks like this is rare case.

    Hi, When I make a document library in Sharepoint 2003 and select the document template type etc and come back to edit/administer the document library, how can I find out what document template type I selected at the time of creation? Another way of putting it: If an administrator makes a document library and selects a document template type and he/she leaves without documenting his/her settings for the document library, how could I find out what document template type he selected? Naive approach: I have a naive approach in mind where I visit every node of the tree and pass this node to a isBST function. I will also keep track of the number of nodes in a sub-tree if it is a BST. Is there a better approach than this ?

If now = 25-Apr-2010 10pm, cron expression "0 15 10 ? * *" (quartz) should return me 25-Apr-2010 10:15am I do not care if we use standard cron expressions (like Unix and Quartz) or less popular ones if they can fetch me the correct "Last Fired Time"

  • Prolog - Finding the current directory, relative directory for 'tell' predicate

    I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to get prolog to spit out a text file where I want it to. I'm currently doing a bunch of operations and then using tell('output.txt') to record the output. Now the problem is that when I do this, it creates this file in the SWI \bin\ folder. I was wondering if there's a way to make it create this file in the directory containing the actual .pl file. So even if the file was moved (and it will be), the text file gets created right where the source file is. Long story short, is there a way to get the location of the source file once the source file has been consulted? Many Thanks!

    Hi, I have a ComboBox with a list of objects bound to it. Currently i have the items templated so they show only the property Class.Name. so the ComboBox is full of Class.Name However i am required to give the user the option to display the property Class.Description instead. If it were just that easy i would be fine, but they want the option to switch back and forth between them at runtime. Any ideas?

    Hello! I have articles on my site, and I would like to add tags which would describe each article, but I'm having problems with design mysql table for tags. I have two ideas: 1) each article would have field "tags", and tags would be in format: "tag1,tag2,tag3" 2) create other table called tags with fields: tag_name, article_id, so when I want tags for article with ID 1, I would run SELECT ... FROM tags WHERE news_id=1; But, I would also like to know 3 similar articles by comparing tags, so if I have article which has tags "php,mysql,erlang", and 5 articles with tags: "php,mysql", "erlang,ruby", "php erlang", "mysql,erlang,javascript", I would choose 1., 3. and 4., since those 3 have most same tags with main article. Also, there is a line that says (View:2, DB:1). I assume the DB means number of database lookups, but what about the view?

    My Question: How do you get the filepath to the current wallpaper? Expansion: I'm writing an app that will let you change the wallpaper easily between different presets. I want to store the filepath of the available wallpapers in my database. What I've tried: WallpaperManger.getWallpaperInfo() or WallpaperManger.getDrawable(). Neither seem to contain the actual location of the file. Any help would be appreciated! :D Thanks! Also, I'm including live-wallpapers. Thanks!

  • Selenium not finding LiveValidation text.

    I am using the Selenium IDE to test some of my web development. I am using the JQuery LiveValidation in my code. I have an input box with some javascript behind it that will do a regular expresson and either ouput "OK" or "Error" next to the input text box based on what the user has entered. For some reason when testing with selenium the LiveValidation will not get triggered no matter what I do and therefore I can not test it. When I do it manually it works great. Has anyone run into this problem before? Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, I don't want any output meta data. How can I do this?

    Kirk Kuykendall had given a script example a few years back in an ESRI forum http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=93&f=996&t=88246&mc=4 as to how to find the M (measure) value of a point in a shapefile along a route when you clicked on the point. This is very handy, BUT..I have 1500 points that I need M values for. Is there a way to automate this type of thing? I need the M values for the points to create linear events on the route. Note: I am not a programmer, but have people who can help me out.

  • Finding an available network port on the machine

    I'm trying to implement a simple FTP server (a variation of the EFTP protocol) in linux. When a client connects and sends the PASV command, the server should respond with a port number, so the client can connect to that port to transmit the file. How can the server choose a port number? Do I need to iterate through all the ports from 1024 to 65535 until I find a port that the process can bind to? I know that calling bind() with 0 as the port automatically chooses the port to bind to, but then how can I know which port was chosen? Many thanks.

But can we find out the name of the class as well from the name of the .apk running or the one we are trying to access.   • Finding part of a string that a user has sent via POST

    My users can send links from popular file hosts like Rapidshare, Megaupload, Hotfile and FileFactory. I need to somehow find out what filehost they sent the link from and use the correct class for it appropriately. For example, if I sent a Rapidshare link in a form on my web page, I need to somehow cycle through each file host that I allow until I find the text rapidshare.com, then I know the user has posted a Rapidshare link.   • Using UNC path as collections location in Mecurial IIS6 Server2003

    I'm running the latest Mercurial and Python 2.6; IIS6 is using the wildcard ISAPI method to attach the site to the Mecurial hgwebdir_wsgi [paths] \ = \\COMP3254\TestRepo\* [web] baseurl = / allow_push = * push_ssl = false style = monoblue The setup works perfectly if I reference the local drive E:\repo* but doesnt work if I specify the network as above; I've given the server (MERCDEV01$) full permissions on the shared folder on COMP3254, I can't think of any other reason it wouldn't work. Any ideas?
