  • problem in leigeber's sorting

    iam using leigeber's sorting javascript to sort my data on my page......i took the js from here :- leigeber's sorting javascript Now this is shwoing highlighted sorted column and all and its all perfect.Now iam having some negative and some positive values in my data and i want to show those negative data in red color and positive in green.This whole sorting thing is using js and css to do the highlighting and sorting.Iam a bit confused now and cant make it out that how i can assign red color to the negative ones and green to the positive ones as js is returning the data as an object i.e. a complete row and i cant make 1 column's data red or green.Will it be done by js itself or with the help of stylesheet to find -ves and +ves.Im totally lost and dont know how to do it.Please help!!!! this is an example of hte data iam using this whole sorting thing on:- -Name- -Price- -loss- -Pts- abc 361.15 -5.68 -21.75 abc2 1072.35 -5.24 -59.25 abc3 512.35 5.24 28.35 abc4 335.2 -5.02 -17.7 abc5 318.6 5.01 -16.8 abc6 76.15 -4.15 3.3

    I have a pretty complex view to render which involves some kind of recursion (the typical folder/file nested list). The fact that it contains heterogeneous objects (folders and files) make it even harder to write Handlebars templates. Therefore, the only solution I've found is to create a view, and manually fill the render buffer.     I have an Informix-SQL based Pawnshop app which calculates an estimate of how much money should be loaned to a customer, based on the weight and purity of gold. The minimum the pawnshop lends is $5.00. The pawnshop employee will typically lend amounts which either ends with a 5 or 0. examples: 10, 15, 20, 100, 110, 125, etc. They do this so as to not run into shortage problems with $1.00 bills. So, if for example my system calculates the loan should be: $12.49, then round it to $10, $12.50 to $15.00, $13.00 to $15.00, $17.50 to $20.00, and so on!..The employee can always override the rounded amount if necessary. Is it possible to accomplish this within the instructions section of a perform screen or would I have to write a cfunc and call it from within perform?.. Are there any C library functions which perform interval rounding of money values?.. On another note, I think the U.S. Government should discontinue the use of pennies so that businesses can round amounts to the nearest nickel, it would save so much time and weight in our pockets!

But i am facing with the problem that whenever i try to play the music in a call it is not that much loud as it is when there is no call. Is there any other way I could display button visibility??

  • What are the types and inner workings of a query optimizer?

    As I understand it, most query optimizers are cost-based. Some can be influenced by hints like FIRST_ROWS(). Others are tailored for OLAP. Is it possible to know more detailed logic about how Informix IDS and SE's optimizers decide what's the best route for processing a query, other than SET EXPLAIN? Is there any documentation which illustrates the ranking of SELECT statements? I would imagine that "SELECT col FROM table WHERE ROWID = n" ranks 1st. What are the rest of them?.. If I'm not mistaking, Informix's ROWID is a SERIAL(INT) which allows for a max. of 2GB nrows, or maybe it uses INT9 for TB's nrows?.. However, I think Oracle uses HEX values for ROWID. Too bad ROWID can't be oftenly used, since a rows ROWID can change. So maybe ROWID is used by the optimizer as a counter? Perhaps, it could be used for implementing the query progress idea I mentioned in my "Begin viewing query results before query completes" question? For some reason, I feel it wouldn't be that difficult to report a query's progress while being processed, perhaps at the expense of some slight overhead, but it would be nice to know ahead of time: A "Google-like" estimate of how many rows meet a query's criteria, display it's progress every 100, 200, 500 or 1,000 rows, give users the ability to cancel it at anytime and start displaying the qualifying rows as they are being put into the current list, while it continues searching?.. This is just one example, perhaps we could think other neat/useful features, the ingridients are more or less there. Perhaps we could fine-tune each query with more granularity than currently available? OLTP queries tend to be mostly static and pre-defined. The "what-if's" are more OLAP, so let's try to add more control and intelligence to it? So, therefore, being able to more precisely control, not "hint-influence" a query is what's needed and therefore it would be necessary to know how the optimizers logic is programmed. We can then have Dynamic SELECT and other statements for specific situations! Maybe even tell IDS to read blocks of indexes nodes at-a-time instead of one-by-one, etc. etc.

  • android & libgdx - disable blurry images rendering

    i'm trying out libgdx as an opengl wrapper , and i have some issues with its graphical rendering : for some reason , all images (textures) on android device look a little blurred using libgdx . this also includes text (font) . however, for normal images , even though i show the entire image , i expect it to look as sharp as i see it on a computer , especially if i have such a good screen on the device (it's galaxy nexus) . i've tried to set the anti-aliasing off , by using the next code : final AndroidApplicationConfiguration androidApplicationConfiguration=new AndroidApplicationConfiguration(); androidApplicationConfiguration.numSamples=0; //tried the value of 1 too. ... i've also tried to set the scaling method to various methods , but with no luck. example: texture.setFilter(TextureFilter.Nearest,TextureFilter.Nearest); as a test , i've found a sharp image that is exactly the same as the seen resolution on the device (720x1184 for galaxy nexus , because of the buttons bar) , and i've put it to be on the background of the libgdx app . of course , i had to add extra blank space in order for the texute to be loaded , so the final size of the image (which will include content and empty space) is still a power of 2 for both width and height (1024x2048 in my case) . on the desktop app , it look ok . on the device , it looked blurred. a weird thing that i've noticed is that when i change the device's orientation (horizontal <= vertical) , for the very short time before the rotating animation starts , i see both the image and the text very well . can anyone please help me?
