  Hi I am using one DataGrid with templatecolumn of Asp:Label Control. In Design Page i used Tool tip for this control, But in the ItemDatabound event, it will checks the number of characters of the text of this label. If the character is less than 40, i have to disable the tooltip for that control only.. But i couldn't finalize this task. How it will be done? Please help me. Thanks in advance..

  Is there a way to resize a control, a JTextfield for example, at runtime in java? I want my textfield to have the resize cursors (just like when you point your cursor on the corner of a window) and will be able to resize on runtime.   Hi, I am working on a Visual Web Part which requires creating a custom control. I am trying to add custom control to the same assembly as Visual Web Part and registering control as: <%@ Register TagPrefix="cus" Namespace="SomeCustomControlNameSpace" % When I am trying to access this its throwing runtime error : Unknown server tag 'cus:ControlName'. Do I need to make any Web.Config entry for this? Any Ideas?

• Why won't my control accept keyboard input?

  I've built a custom control that I'm trying to send input to. It will accept mouse input and report MouseDown, MouseMove and MouseUp correctly, but for whatever reason, it won't accept keyboard input. When I click on it, it doesn't receive focus, and any keys I press get interpreted by whatever control had the focus already. This is probably something really simple. The first place I thought to look was in the ControlStyle property, but the only thing I can see in the helpfile about keyboard input is csNoStdEvents, which disables it, and my control doesn't have that. So what do I need to do to make it so my control can receive input focus?

  Hi Experts, I had a Ribbon like custom control. I created an application using this control. These applications work fine until I change the system number format. They crashes if I change the system number format like below: Current Format = English (United State) Decimal symbol = ',' Digit group symbol = '.' When I run applications, they throw an exception "Input string not in Correct format". . Some other applications specify the Exception's message = "Input string '0,2,0,2' was not a correct format", so I think in Wpf ES's xaml files, we may declare some properties i.e Padding, Margin like "0,2,0,2" = that will cause errors with the system number format above. I have note that this error only occurs in Windows Vista, it does not occurs on Windows XP. I do not know why?   I have this class that contains vars for db connection; Public Shared s As String Public Shared con As String = WebConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("foo").ToString() Public Shared c As New SqlConnection(con) Public Shared x As New SqlCommand(s, c) I import this to my page like this; Imports DBVars I'm then able to access these vars from my page. But if I try to import them into a user control the variables are not available. Am I making an error or is this expected? Thanks.

I've snipped them, but there are Eval statements that wire up to the properties in the outer Repeater. Anyway, one of the fields in the inner Repeater needs to be a Bind instead of an Eval, as I want to get the values that the user types in. The SupplementAmount input element correctly receives it's value when the page loads, but on the other side, when I inspect the contents of the Costs List when the form posts back, the changes the user made aren't present.   I’m not too familiar with webpage design and am having a problem. I have the following datalist which is displayed ok but it is the section near the bottom that I am having with. I want the Hyperlink image to be on the same line as the “Details” text. Unfortunately the text appears below the Hyperlink control. Is there an easy fix to get what I want ?   hi, I am using a dropdown, a devexpress grid view and a button on my page. My gropdown contains the months in the format MM/YYYY, and on dropdown's selection change the data binds in the grid view. the functionality of button is to go on previous page as same as back button of browser. Now, my prob is that if i select any month and then select another month, the data changes. but now when i click on back button having onclick ="history.go(-1)", changes the data on the grid view but the month in the dropdown remains the same. For example: Suppose, first i have month selected as 02/2010 At this time the data in grid view is for exapmle 01234 now when i select month 03/2010 the data in grid changes to 56789 now when i click on back button, then data in grid changes to 01234 but the month in dropdown remains to 03/2010. Please help me for this.. Thanks in advance for all who will give solution for this.

  When you add a label to the form from the toolbox, its text defaults to the item's name (label1, label2, etc). How can I make this happen with a custom control? So far, I have the following, which allows me to change the text through the property window: private string _text; [BrowsableAttribute(true)] public override string Text { get { return _text; } set { _text = value; lblID.Text = _text; } } Apparently the above code works as is, but I'm not sure why. Does Text default to the object's name automatically? The question still stands for other properties which don't override Text.
