  • Getting the PC value in ARM assembly

    I have a Windows Mobile 6 ARMV4I project where I would like to get the value of the program counter. The function is declared like this: extern "C" unsigned __int32 GetPC(); My assembly code looks like this: GetPC FUNCTION EXPORT GetPC ldr r0, [r15] ; load the PC value in to r0 mov pc, lr ; return the value of r0 ENDFUNC But, when I call the GetPC() function, I get the same number every time. So, I'm assuming my assembly isn't doing what I think it's doing. Can anybody point out what I may be doing wrong? Thanks, PaulH

  • Getting Paperclip to work in Rails

  • Getting website data into Adobe InDesign

    I'd like our magazine team to be able to download website data in a file that Adobe InDesign can read. They can then import/open the file, make a few tweaks, and cut out a vast deal of repetitive manual labour (they currently use copy&paste for a few hours). After a brief Google I note that v2 of InDesign can import/export XML so perhaps that is my best bet? Are there any alternatives, and can anyone offer any advice on them? I am using a PC, and the magazine team are on Macs; testing will be tiresome I fear. The data we wish to format is fairly simple - a title followed by a short chunk of text (repeated about 50 times, say). I'll ask about importing images later. Thanks for your help. I will return to Google now, but it would be great if anyone can point me in a more specific direction first!

  • Getting consecutive version numbers from Hibernate's @Version usage once per transaction

    We use Hibernate with the following version definition for optimistic locking et. al: <version name="version" access="field" column="VERSION" type="long" unsaved-value="negative"/> This is fine and dandy; however, there is one small problem, which is that the first version for some entities is '0', and for others, it is '1'. Why this is happening, is that for some object graphs, an entity will be subject to both onSave and flushDirty - this is reasonable, such as if two object are circular dependencies. However, the version number gets incremented on both occasions, leading to the above '0' / '1' discrepancy. I'd really like the version number only to ever increment once per transaction. However, I can't see a simple way to do this in the hibernate versioning implementation, without hacking about with an Interceptor (which was how I generated a column value for version before, but I wanted hibernate to do it itself)..

    Hi, I've got a Customer object with a Collection of CustomerContacts IEnumerable Contacts { get; set; } In some other code I'm using Reflection and have the PropertyInfo of Contacts property var contacts = propertyInfo.GetValue(customerObject, null); I know contacts has at least one object in it, but how do I get it out? I don't want to Cast it to IEnumerable because I want to keep my reflection method dynamic. I thought about calling FirstOrDefault() by reflection - but can't do that easily because its an extension method. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

    Hello, I have a Map, which I tried to iterate over with JSTL. Somehow I could not accomplish even this basic task. I also referred the questions here and here, but that is what I am already doing, still no success. What I tried to do was: <c:forEach items="${myMap}" var="myEntry"> ${myEntry.key} + ${myEntry.value} </c:forEach> But I always get the last object. Maybe I am missing something trivial, please advise. Thank You

  • Getting a char array from a vector<int>?

    I am trying to pass a value from C++ to TCL. As I cannot pass pointers without the use of some complicated modules, I was thinking of converting a vector to a char array and then passing this as a null terminated string (which is relatively easy). I have a vector as follows: 12, 32, 42, 84 which I want to convert into something like: "12 32 42 48" The approach I am thinking of is to use an iterator to iterate through the vector and then convert each integer into its string representation and then add it into a char array (which is dynamically created initially by passing the size of the vector). Is this the right way or is there a function that already does this?

  • Dojo 1.8: Getting dest.appendChild is not a function while rendering a custom template

    After adding in the WidgetsInTemplateMixin, I am receiving an error dest.appendChild is not a function In the documentation, it claims that there will be an error if this.containerNode is not able to contain any child objects. However, I have marked the containerNode attachment point for a div with dojo type "dijit/layout/ContentPane". Can anyone explain to me why this isn't working?     Hello, I'm trying to read a css file with the Resources provided by Spring. My application looks like this: src src/com herer my classes inside packages WebContent WebContent/resources/style/myCSS.css -- the css I want to read WebContent/WEB-INF -- here is my application-context.xml I can get the css and read it by doing something like this: UrlResource file = new UrlResource("http://localhost:8080/myApp/resources/style/myCSS.css"); but it depends on the server and aplication names. I've tried to do it by other implementations of Resource Interface, but the file is not found cause I can't find out how to wite the path. I've tried with this: FileSystemResource file = new FileSystemResource("/WebContent/resources/style/myCSS.css"); I also tried with wildcards, but it doesn't find the file either. ApplicationContext ctx = new FileSystemXmlApplicationContext("classpath*:/WEB-INF/application-context-core.xml"); Resource file = ctx.getResource("file:**/myCSS.css"); How should I write the path to get the css.     Hey everyone, I'm currently playing around with tipfy on Google's Appengine and just recently ran into a problem: I can't for the life of me find any documentation on how to use GET variables in my application, I've tried sifting through both tipfy and Werkzeug's documentations with no success. I know that I can use request.form.get('variable') to get POST variables and **kwargs in my handlers for URL variables, but that's as much as the documentation will tell me. Any ideas?

  • Subclassing Satchmo's Category model, but then getting the error "'Manager' object has no attribute 'root_categories'"

    I'm using Satchmo as part of a website I'm currently building. At the moment I'm trying add more functions to the Satchmo Category class, but obviously I'm not going to make any changes to the Satchmo files. So, I thought that subclassing the Category class would give me a new class which contains all the Satchmo Category properties and methods while allowing me to add my own. However, either Python subclassing doesn't work like that, or I am doing it wrong.   • Unable to reverse seemingly simple rails migration - getting "altered_table.column may not be NULL"

    I have a table 'invoices' in my development database (sqlite3) populated with a small amount of test data. I wanted to add a column 'invoice_number' to it and set up a migration like so: class AddInvoiceNumberColumnToInvoices < ActiveRecord::Migration def self.up add_column :invoices, :invoice_number, :integer end def self.down remove_column :invoices, :invoice_number end end I ran rake db:migrate and it seemed to migrate just fine. However, when I tried to access this column through ActiveRecord it didn't seem to be there. I decided to undo this migration and try again (not sure what I was going to try but I thought I'd start by undoing it) with rake db:migrate VERSION='whatever_the_migration_before_this_one_was_called'. This failed with the error message == AddInvoiceNumberColumnToInvoices: reverting =============================== -- remove_column(:invoices, :invoice_number) rake aborted! An error has occurred, this and all later migrations canceled: altered_invoices.invoice_number may not be NULL I can't find any documentation of this error. Is anyone able to explain what I have done wrong, and more importantly how I can fix this?

  • Getting Argument Names In Ruby Reflection

    I would like to do some fairly heavy-duty reflection in the Ruby programming language. I would like to create a function which would return the names of the arguments of various calling functions higher up the call stack (just one higher would be enough but why stop there?). I could use Kernel.caller go to the file and parse the argument list but that would be ugly and unreliable. The function that I would like would work in the following way: module A def method1( tuti, fruity) foo end def method2(bim, bam, boom) foo end def foo print caller_args[1].join(",") #the "1" mean one step up the call stack end end A.method1 #prints "tuti,fruity" A.method2 #prints "bim, bam, boom" I would not mind using ParseTree or some similar tool for this task but looking at Parsetree, it is not obvious how to use it for this purpose. Creating a C extension like this is another possibility but it would be nice if someone had already done it for me. Edit2: I can see that I'll probably need some kind of C extension. I suppose that means my question is what combination of C extension would work most easily. I don't think caller+ParseTree would be enough by themselves. As far as why I would like to do this goes, rather than saying "automatic debugging", perhaps I should say that I would like to use this functionality to do automatic checking of the calling and return conditions of functions. Say def add x, y check_positive return x + y end Where check_positive would throw an exception if x and y weren't positive (obviously, there would be more to it than that but hopefully this gives enough motivation)

    Hi everyone! I posted a question earlier regarding obtaining GPU clock speeds, but I guess the thread appeared as already answered since someone had replied to it. I'd been advised by one of your members to try extracting GPU clock speeds using SetupDiEnumDeviceInfo. However, I looked around at some examples, like this one: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/system/DevMgr.aspx and nothing seemed to be displayed about the clock speed.     I can't see what I am doing wrong, as the files are in the correct order. In this case it is: BaseDAO.fs CreateDatabase.fs They are in the same namespace, but even when I had them in different modules, and opened the module in CreateDatabase the same error.   • getting window screenshot windows API

    Hi, I am trying to make a program to work on top of an existing GUI to annotate it and provide extra calculations and statistical information. I want to do this using image recognition, as I have learned a fair amount about this in University using Matlab and similar things. I can get a handle to the window I want to perform image recognition on, but I don't know how to turn that handle into an image of that window, and all its visible child windows. I suppose I am looking for something like the screenshot function, but restricted to a single window. How would I go about doing this? I suppose I'd need something like a .bmp to mess about with. Also, it would have to be efficient enough that I could call it several times a second without my PC grinding to a halt. Hopefully this isn't an obvious question, I typed some things into google but didn't get anything related.

  • Getting a summary of comments in Jira

    I currently maintain a Jira system at work and I have been tasked with a rather strange request which is too find a way of 'making a summary of a comment'. In the ideal situation this would allow a user to write a comment and a quick summary however I doubt this is something available in Jira / something that is feasible. Alternatively a summary of all comments would be nice that will allow our technical writers a way to clarify fixes through the information in the comments. If any one out there has ANY suggestions or ideas on this they are most welcome :) Sorry if this question is slightly general but I cannot find any thing that remotely helps on google, wondering if any Jira experts can push me in the right direction.
