  • jQuery animate slidding background image using mouse position wont stop... just keeps going

    I have a neat little jQuery script I am working on. Goal: parent div with overflow hidden holds a larger div with image. When I move the mouse to the left or right of the parent div, the div with image changes margin-left to move left or right. Problem is... if I move the mouse out of the parent div (left or right), the image keeps going. I need the image to stop when the mouse is not on the inside left or right edge of the parent div.     The problem: I have a set width and height image Lets say height:160px; width:200px; with an image in each box. The image can vary in size but I need a solution that will always center the image vertically and horizontally within the box no matter what it's size. Horizontal doesn't seem to be a problem by using margin: 0 auto but vertical is proving difficult. I have tried vertical align: center but this doesnt appear to work either Any help is appriciated Thanks

  • need help in positioning

  • AJAX Div Retrieval every 60 seconds

    Hello everyone! What I would like to do is retrieve the contents of a PHP file and insert it into a div every 60 seconds, basically refreshing the dynamic div. I've come up with the following code so far, however it doesn't seem to be working. The code is just like this, nothing extra, apart from the MYSQL login.     I'm working on a layout that comprises some of the same features seen in the screenshot below, but I'm running into a bit of confusion. Can someone help me understand a few points for the screenshot below? What is the root layout used here? How do I get the button bar to remain at the bottom, while the center section scrolls when it is long enough? Similar to the Ok/Cancel buttons seen here, how do I make them each 50% width (minus some margin and padding)?

  • Skeleton framework - css list spacing

    I'm trying to float my navigation at the top much more to left around 200px atleast more towards the end of the line that can been seen below.     Hay all im building a news aggregator with SimplePie, the SP elements are working fine but I would like to have the feeds that it pulls in displayed in columns across the page using HTML5 and CSS3. I have managed to implement it so that the columns are formed and display the feeds, but at the moment the stories are being ordered one on to of the other from left to right with the newest being displayed top left, the second newest bellow the first in column one and so on. What I would like is for the stories to be displayed from left to right across the column so that the newest is at the top of the first column, the second newest at the top of the second column, the third newest in the third column and so on.   • Gain Access to Mouse Clicks in C# Component

    I am using the ScintillaNET component and I am attempting to capture clicks in the margin, as this will determine how I respond. Unfortunately, the margins capture the mouse events (and don't provide a way, from what I can see, to get the click information - number of clicks, mouse button clicked, etc). If this is indeed the case (I am not able to get that info directly), what is another way of capturing what the mouse is doing before the MarginClick event is fired? Thanks for any help!
