    Hi, I have a Rails application but after some time of development/debugging I realized that it would be very helpful to be able to see the whole HTTP request in the logfiles - log/development.log, not just the parameters. Anyway, I'm really interested in OpenID and I would like to implement OpenID authentication and maybe some Sreg stuff in a Rails app. All of the research that I have done has come up with articles that are out of date or just don't work for me. Since I'm so new to Rails I'm having difficulty debugging the issues so... What is the best way to implement OpenId in Rails? Thanks

  • Why is my Android emulator keyboard in Japanese character mode?

    I'm debugging my Android application using the AVD (Android Virtual Device). When I try to enter text in a text field, my characters are being interpreted as Japanese (or Chinese?) in the IME.   • Handling apostrophes, php and pgsql

    For my forms, I'm using pg_escape_string on every field before I insert them into the database. So I get something like firstname='O''reilly'. But when I try to print that out, I get O''reily, 2 apostrophes. Shouldn't it only 1 apostrophe, O'reilly? This isnt a debugging problem, im just wondering if you have firstname='O''reilly', how do you print that so it is just O'reilly instead of O''reilly?

  • Can I rename Main.mxml?

    We have several Flash objects included in our project. We call each one a specific type of widget... For readability/debugging purposes I'd like to rename Main.mxml to something else. At first this seemed easy, as it would be just a setting in our maven configuration (we're using flex mojos to build our swf). However; changing the sourceFile from Main.mxml to MyWidget.mxml doesn't seem to do it. Any thoughts?

    Anyone experience any issues with IIS7, integrated mode forms authentication while using IE8? I have a website with a login form, once logged in, any postback causes the user to be logged out. This doesn't even happen consistently, sometimes I can login and not experience this issue, other times it happens instantly. I can not replicate the problem in any other browser and I cannot replicate on my development machine running / debugging vs2010.

    I'm parsing (X)HTML pages content with libxml using the following call: htmlDocPtr doc = htmlSAXParseDoc(content, NULL, &html_handler, NULL); But for debugging purposes I need to analyze some of the current node properties in the start/end element callbacks. I know that the fourth argument of htmlSAXParseDoc can be used to pass any user defined data to the callbacks, but I don't have a pointer to xmlParserCtxt.

    Arg! When I save my product kit, with several product selected, I land on a blank product kit node (as in no sub products). The message confirms the update, however when I return to the node edit page the products are no longer selected, hence the blank kit node page. Thoughts on debugging this, or what might lead to it?

    Hello. I have a simple Silverlight program that displays a bunch of images. I modified it do display more images, but it when I hit "run without debugging" is keeps running the old build with fewer images. When I copy the code into a new project and run it, it works fine for the first time, but then each subsequent change is not displayed. What could be the problem? I'm using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express.

By default it seems to use the operating system default browser, but I would prefer to use IE when debugging ASP.net apps. (I am testing this with ASP.net MVC 2)

  • Visual C++: Invalid allocation size. How to force the debugger to stop on this message?

    The MFC program I am debugging is printing this message in the "Output" window in Visual Studio 9.0: HEAP[AppName.exe]: Invalid allocation size - 99999998 (exceeded 7ffdefff) I'm pretty sure this is due to a bad "new", uninitialized variable or similar error. The question is: how do I get the debugger to stop on this message so that I can view the stack trace and solve the problem?
