• Which Happens First? Anyone Know Exactly How The Apache Server Will Handle This Request?

  Hello, To keep things simple, please allow the "assumption" that some code requires the use of a full URL, even though the domain is on the same server, i.e. a simple file path cannot be used. TCP/IP?? Question: If a form action target = "http://this-full-URL.com/postdata" (for example) and that URL is also on the same server, then which happens first? A) Data is sent "out onto the web", and then returns to the same server, or B) Before sending any (possibly sensitive) data, the server (Linux, Apache, PHP), first "discovers" the target address is local, so (clearly) no data is sent over the net?   I'm getting this message multiple times when I try to run my game: The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing For some reason, all my prefabs are missing a script that dictates something called their 'Mono Behaviour': What is the Mono Behaviour component, and what does it do? How can I fix this error? I can click the little target circle to bring up all my scripts, but that just gives me all of the scripts that I've written: So I don't really know how to replace my missing Mono Behaviour script... Maybe if I knew what it was I could have a clue how to fix it. I probably moved something. But how can I select the Mono Behaviour script (whatever it is) if the target just shows me my scripts? Update I've moved some assets in the project window, but not via the OS (Finder/Explorer) so why is this happening? Also I am told that Mono Behaviour is a script I've applied... Don't really get this...isn't the script component a reference to a script?

• Exchange 2007 - GetUserAvailability over 128 mailboxes?

  When making a GetUserAvailability call passing in 128 mailboxs Exchange 07 returns an EmailAddressArray error stating the allowed size of the array is 100. Is there a way to increase the array size beyond 100, so that Exchange 07 returns with a GetUserAvailablity request? I'm currently getting the following error: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Microsoft.Exchange.InfoWorker.Common.Availability.IdentityArrayTooBigException: There are too many target users in the EmailAddress array.   I've got a business class, Spam and the corresponding view class, SpamView. How can I augment MouseEvents coming out of SpamView so the MouseEvents which come out of it contain a reference to the instance of Spam which the SpamView is displaying? Here's how I'd like to use it: class ViewContainer { ... for each (spam in spams) { addChild(new SpamView(spam)); ... function handleMouseMove(event:MouseEvent) { if (event is SpamViewMouseEvent) trace("The mouse is being moved over spam:", spam) } } Thanks! Things I've considered which don't work: Adding event listeners to each SpamView: the book keeping (making sure that they are added/removed properly) is a pain. Using event.target: the event's target may be a child of the SpamView (which isn't very useful) Listening for a MouseEvent, creating a new SpamViewMouseEvent, copying all the fields over, then dispatching that: copying all the fields manually is also a pain.

• Use different updatetargetid based on view

  I have a web page which display a list of items in a HTML table. Above the list is a form which allows the user to add a new item to the list via AJAX (using Ajax.BeginForm). When the data is posted to the controller via AJAX I add the new item to the database backend and generate a new table row via a Partial View which then gets appended to the exisiting table. When the form to add new items however contains errors, I want to render the form back to the web browser and display that. So here is the question: Is it possible to specify the UpdateTargetId from within the controller? At the moment whatever View I return from the controller gets inserted in the same target, but I would like to update a different target (ie. different UpdateTargetId) based on whatever view was returned from the controller. Any help would be appreciated...

• Style question: Writing "this." before instance variable and methods: good or bad idea?

  One of my nasty (?) programming habits in C++ and Java is to always precede calls or accesses to members with a this. For example: this.process(this.event). A few of my students commented on this, and I'm wondering if I am teaching bad habits. My rationale is: 1) Makes code more readable — Easier to distinguish fields from local variables. 2) Makes it easier to distinguish standard calls from static calls (especially in Java) 3) Makes me remember that this call (unless the target is final) could end up on a different target, for example in an overriding version in a subclass. Obviously, this has zero impact on the compiled program, it's just readability. So am I making it more or less readable? • How to configure a OCUnit test bundle for a framework?

  I've been developing a Mac OS X framework and I want to use OCUnit in my XCode 3.2.1 project. I've followed several tutorials on how to configure a OCUnit test bundle. The problem is that when I create a test case that uses a function that is defined in one of the framework's sources, I get a building error telling me that the symbol is not found. I made the test bundle dependent of my project's target as the tutorial said, but that doesn't seem to be problem. First I thought that I could solve this problem by dragging the framework's source files into the compile sources section within the Test bundle target, but then all the symbols referenced from that source file started to show up in the build errors, so that seems to not be a good solution/idea. How can I configure my unit test bundle so it builds properly?

  I'm trying to do a simple drag script. The idea is to save the position when the mouse is down, update the view while the mouse is moving, and stop when mouse is up. Problem, mouseup event isn't working properly.   I'm getting the following error while uploading a zip archive. • jQuery and regex for adding icons to specific links?!

  I'm using jQuery to add icons to specific links, e.g. a myspace icon for sites starting with http://myspace.com etc. However, I can't figure out how to use regular expressions (if that's even possible here), to make jQuery recognize the link either with or without "www." (I'm very bad at regular expressions in general). Here are two examples: $("a[href^='http://www.last.fm']").addClass("lastfm").attr("target", "_blank"); $("a[href^='http://livejournal.com']").addClass("livejournal").attr("target", "_blank"); They work fine, but I now I want the last.fm link to work with http://last.fm, http://www.last.fm and http://www.lastfm.de. • SQLite subquery syntax/error/difference from MySQL

  I was under the impression this is valid SQLite syntax: SELECT *, (SELECT amount AS target FROM target_money WHERE start_year <= p.bill_year AND start_month <= p.bill_month ORDER BY start_year ASC, start_month ASC LIMIT 1) AS target FROM payments AS p; But I guess it's not, because SQLite returns this error: no such column: p.bill_year What's wrong with how I refer to p.bill_year? Yes, I am positive table payments hosts a column bill_year. Am I crazy or is this just valid SQL syntax? It would work in MySQL wouldn't it?? I don't have any other SQL present so I can't test others, but I thought SQLite was quite standardlike.

• Built in raytracing?

  Relating to this question i was wondering if .NET has any libs (or a function) i can use to detect if one point collides with another. I am not sure what angles i should use but is there some function like this func(point src, rect target, angle, distanceOfVision, listPointOrRectOfWalls) Pretty unlikely but i dont know a formula or how to start. Its a quick and dirty prototype. I am thinking of writing the func about but dropping angle and just make line of sight a rectangle and check if any points is between src and target.

What about updating archives/libraries when input sources go away?   Hello to all. I need to implement parent page redirection from iframe. I know that it is impossible to do in different domains due to browsers security. However I found that links have target attribute and tried to use it in the following way: <a href="http://google.com" target="_top" id="testParentRedirect">someLink</a> It works fine if I click this link manually, but I couldn't find cross-browser solution to simulate it using javascript. document.getElementById('testParentRedirect').click(); This works fine in IE, however Firefox and Safary don't know click function :). I tried to work with jquery, but for some reason they don't simulate click event for links. (see following post) I couldn't find any appropriate solution on stackoverflow. Maybe someone could help me in it. I will appreciate it. :)

• cd Terminal at a given directory after running a Python script?

  I'm working on a simple Python script that can use subprocess and/or os to execute some commands, which is working fine. However, when the script exits I'd like to cd the actual Terminal (in this case OS X) so on exit, the new files are ready to use in the directory where the have been created. All the following (subprocess.Popen, os.system, os.chdir) can do what I want from within the script (i.e. they execute stuff in the target directory) but on exit leave the Terminal at the script's own directory, not the target directory. I'd like to avoid writing a shell script to temporary file just to achieve this, if this is at all possible anyway?
