    I have a template system, that replaces text such as {HEADER} with the appropriate content. I use an array like this, that replaces the key with the value using str_replace. $array = array("HEADER","This is the header"); foreach($array as $var => $content) { $template = str_replace("{" . strtoupper($var). "}", $content,$template); } Now im trying to use a defined variable like this: define("NAME","Site Name"); Inside the value for the header. So I want the defined variable to be inside the array which gets replaced so it would look like this, but it doesn't work. $array = array("HEADER","Welcome to ".NAME."'s website!"); Any ideas? tell me if im not clear

  • Checking variable from a different class in C#

    Greetings- I have 2 classes. One is called "Programs" and the other is called "Logs". The class called Programs has public const string m_sEnviron = ""; near the top and I need to check what the m_sEnviron variable is set to through my class called Logs. The variable m_sEnviron will get set from a scheduler called Tidal so how can I check its value from a different class.   • Vim: `cd` to path stored in variable

    I'm pretty new to vim, and I'm having a hard time understanding some subtleties with vim scripting. Specifically, I'm having trouble working with commands that expect an unquoted-string (is there a name for this?). For example cd some/unquoted/string/path The problem is that I'd like to pass a variable, but calling let pathname = 'some/path' cd pathname will try to change the current directory to 'pathname' instead of 'some/path'. One way around this is to use let cmd = 'cd ' . pathname execute cmd but this seems a bit roundabout. This StackOverflow question actually uses cd with a variable, but it doesn't work on my system ("a:path" is treated as the path as described above). I'm using cd as a specific example, but this behavior isn't unique to cd; for example, the edit command also behaves this way. (Is there a name for this type of command?)

For example, I have a column called category, one value under it is m, so I want to select this m value from the database, let's say from a table of a database called user_info. Then I want to put it into a variable, let's name it $res. After that, I want to do some condition stuff, such as if $res=="m", Can anyone help me write a simple structure here?   • In need of a Smarter Environmental Package Configuration

    I am trying to set up a package template in SSIS, following the Wrox Programmer to Programmer book, SQL Server 2008 Integration Services: Problem - Design - Solution. I'm really liking this book even though it is 2008 and we're using SQL Server 2005. I've got a working package template that uses an Indirect XML package configuration to identify what environment (local developer, dev, QA, production, etc) the package is being run in. That locates the SQL Server package configuration for the environment. That set-up is great and all except for the environment variable at the very front of it all. My team would prefer it if the package could use the same environment resource locator as all our other applications and tools use, so we don't two environment markers with essentially the same information in them. Normally we look up a registry key in HKey_Local_Machine but the Registry Package Configuration type only lets you look up the HKey_Current_User registries. My first thought was to write a new Package Configuration Type class that extends the Registry type; after all we'd had such luck writing our own custom log provider. SSIS is super extendable, right? So there doesn't seem to be a way to write your own Package Configuration Types. Is there still some way I can configure my SSIS SQL Server package configuration from a HKLM registry key connection string? If this is not possible, what other workarounds are available? My idea is to write a PowerShell script that will create/modify the Environment Variable that the package will use by fetching the connection string from the registry. This way there's still two markers, but at least then it's automatically maintained and automated. Is this kind of workaround necessary? Thank you for your time.

  • Which of the following Java coding fragments is better?

    This isn't meant to be subjective, I am looking for reasons based on resource utilisation, compiler performance, GC performance etc. rather than elegance. Oh, and the position of brackets doesn't count, so no stylistic comments please. Take the following loop; Integer total = new Integer(0); Integer i; for (String str : string_list) { i = Integer.parse(str); total += i; } versus... Integer total = 0; for (String str : string_list) { Integer i = Integer.parse(str); total += i; } In the first one i is function scoped whereas in the second it is scoped in the loop. I have always thought (believed) that the first one would be more efficient because it just references an existing variable already allocated on the stack, whereas the second one would be pushing and popping i each iteration of the loop. There are quite a lot of other cases where I tend to scope variables more broadly than perhaps necessary so I thought I would ask here to clear up a gap in my knowledge. Also notice that assignment of the variable on initialisation either involving the new operator or not. Do any of these sorts of semi-stylistic semi-optimisations make any difference at all?

  • Weblogic 12 and the CLI

    I am working with WebLogic on Fedora 19 and am attempting to use the CLI tools to no avail. It appears these were deprecated as far back as WebLogic 9 however I was assured they are still there and still functional. As it stands I have a need to use them if they are in fact functional. What appears to the case is that the weblogic jar file is not being loaded correctly to the classpath by this script after trying to manually add it to the classpath as it fails when trying to add those jars via java -classpath <path>. I've spent a lot of time so far trying to get this sorted out but I'm wondering what I may be missing here. My Java runtime is version 7, Fedora is 19, and WebLogic is 12.1. When I run env after running the provided set environment script it appears to have no impact from what I can see. (I'll add that later when I get back to that machine). I'm mostly a Windows developer so some of this is a topic I'm not well versed in.   • Setting Ubuntu Global PATH for Ruby Enterprise Edition

    Context: I recently installed Ruby Enterprise Edition (REE) on an Ubuntu 8.04 server. I would like for this new version of Ruby to globally supersede (for all users, crontabs, etc) the older version in /usr/local/bin. Attempted Solution #1: The REE documentation recommends placing the REE bin folder at the beginning of the global PATH in /etc/environment. I altered the PATH line in this file to read: PATH="/opt/ruby_ee/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games" This did affect my PATH at all. Attempted Solution #2: Next I followed these instructions and updated the PATH setting in the /etc/login.defs and /etc/crontab files. (I did not change /etc/sudoers.) This didn't affect my PATH either, even after logging out and rebooting the server. Other information: I seem to be having the same problem described here. I'm testing using the command: echo $PATH My shell is bash. My .bashrc doesn't not alter my PATH. I'm ssh'ed into the system for all testing. /opt/ruby_ee/ is a sym-link to /opt/ruby-enterprise-1.8.7-2011.03/

  • $PATH in Vim doesn't match Terminal

    I'm using MacVim and when I don't launch it from the Terminal (mvim) its $PATH does not include what I have set in my .bash_profile. It only seems to have the default values, /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin. I'm running OS X 10.5.8. Even if I could set it manually in my .vimrc that would be okay, though I would prefer it to pull from the same place as Terminal. I've tried following what one site suggested, adding let $PATH += /blah/foo:/bar/etc to no avail. Edit/Solution: See my answer below. MacVim has an option to fix this.

    folks! Now, I have an Excel file with measurements I made of some color patches (I work at a Press company), with a device called spectrophotometer. The thing is: I'm looking at a non-linear increase between the 25 Color Density measurements I took, but I NEED to know exactly how the color's Hue changes as the color's Density increases. For that, I needed Excel to give me round numbers for the X axis (for example 0,70 to 1,50 in 0,05 increments). And for that, obviously, I needed Excel to calculate the probable Hue Values corresponding to those ghost/round/not-given values of Density (like a kind of advanced rule of three). So, can anyone help me on that? Thanks a lot!

PATH DEFAULT=${PATH}:~/Adobe/Reader9/bin:~/texlive/2009/bin/x86_64-linux GIT_EDITOR DEFAULT=vim MANPATH DEFAULT=${MANPATH}:~/texlive/2009/texmf/doc/man INFOPATH DEFAULT=${INFOPATH}:~/texlive/2009/texmf/doc/info But, echo $PATH returns me duplicated entries as the following. /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:~/apps/Adobe/Reader9/bin:~/apps/texlive/2009/bin/x86_64-linux:~/apps/Adobe/Reader9/bin:~/apps/texlive/2009/bin/x86_64-linux I've tried replacing DEFAULT by OVERRIDE in my ~/.pam_environment file. But, that didn't help. Does any one know what's wrong with my ~/.pam_environment?

  • Why java -version returning a different version than the one defined in JAVA_HOME?

    I am trying to set JAVA_HOME in Ubuntu OS. I have copied jdk 1.7 in /usr/lib/jvm and set JAVA_HOME in /etc/profile file. Contents of /usr/lib/jvm folder are as follows : shekhar@ubuntu:~$ ls /usr/lib/jvm/ default-java java-1.6.0-openjdk java-6-openjdk java-6-openjdk-i386 jdk1.7.0_01 java-1.5.0-gcj-4.6 java-1.6.0-openjdk-i386 java-6-openjdk-common java-7-openjdk-i386 and last few lines of /etc/profile file are as follows : export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.7.0_01 export PATH=$PATH:$JAVA_HOME/bin After finishing all this when I run java -version command I get following output : shekhar@ubuntu:~$ java -version java version "1.6.0_24" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.4) (6b24-1.11.4-1ubuntu0.12.04.1) OpenJDK Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode) and when I run ls -lah command I get following output : shekhar@ubuntu:~$ ls -lah /usr/bin/java lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Sep 29 09:58 /usr/bin/java -> /etc/alternatives/java shekhar@ubuntu:~$ ls -lah /etc/alternatives/java lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 45 Sep 29 09:58 /etc/alternatives/java -> /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk-i386/jre/bin/java Can anyone please tell me which thing I am missing?     Suppose my PATH is C:\WINDOWS\system32\;C:\Program Files\Important\ SET NEW_PATH=C:\My\Dir\ SETX PATH "%PATH%;%NEW_PATH%" Results in a path of: C:\WINDOWS\system32\;C:\Program Files\Important\;C:\My\Dir" Notice the quotation mark at the end of the path. It's as though the backslash at the end of %NEW_PATH% escaped the final quote mark. I need the quotation marks because I have spaces in my path, but I don't want backslashes to be interpreted as escape characters. What's the right way to include my PATH in the call to SETX?

  • Why do I have three My Documents folders?

    I'm trying to fix my profile on Windows 7. Currently %USERPROFILE% points to C:\Users\myUsername My Documents is also at C:\Users\myUsername \\profileServer\profiles$\myUsername has TWO "My Documents" folders Neither of these folders contain what's in C:\Users\myUsername\My Documents Navigating to %USERPROFILE% in Windows Explorer displays two copies of everything, one local and one copy from the server. Programs use sort of a toss up between C:\Users\myUsername\My Documents or one of the two My Documents on profileServer. According to our sysadmins, My Documents is supposed to point to the profile server, but other folders should be local. How can I fix this so I have ONE copy of everything, with My Documents pointing to \\profileServer\profiles$\myUsername\Documents and everything else local? To be honest, I don't understand why this is so difficult and confusing. For example, why does Windows allow displaying two folders with the same name in the same directory? And why does inputting C:\Users\myUsername and %USERPROFILE% into Windows Explorer produce two different results? They should be identical.   • Positive result, negative result and current balance. How do you make starting balance show current result?

    I have 3 columns. Column A shows positive result and if the result is negative then it is in a column B. Column B shows negative result and if the result is positive then it is in a column A. (meaning that either columns can have 0.00 in the cell (empty zero cells)). Column C has starting assets and it also shows the current balance that while result A or B are adding up and current balance is showing the current result. What is the proper formula for this I hope I was clear with my problem. Please help. Thanks in advance!

    One feature of Notepad++, which I find really useful and haven't found elsewhere, is the highlighting of other text that is identical to the one currently selected. Is there something similar possible with vi(m)? (Of course, there is. But how do I achieve it?) That is, any of those: If I am in Visual Mode and have text selected: Highlight identical text If I have searched /foo, highlight all instances of foo. If I am at the beginning of a string (series of characters, numbers or underscores), highlight all other matching strings (prefered solution). The last one is similar to the closing parentheses matching and IMHO the most useful. Edit: For my second use case, I found a solution (that is, Google found it...): :set hls However, the others remain.

    Hi, I've got two machines: Fedora and CentOS. And a cronjob 0-59 * * * * env > /home/me/env.log On CentOS I can see that /etc/environment is affecting the output while on Fedora it does not. I want Fedora to be like CentOS. Even if I make /etc/pam.d/cron.d files the same, problem still persists.
