    Hello! Is it possible to only have one space on secondary display when using Spaces on Mac? I’d like to have three spaces on the primary display and only use the secondary one as a common “sideboard” that does not change when I switch Spaces on the primary display.

  • Windows Live Messenger stops space bar working

    On Windows Vista, the included Windows Live Messenger frequently stops the space bar working after a long period (or is it after I put the computer into standby). It is frustrating to have to exit Windows Live Messenger and re-start just so I can type spaces in conversations. Anybody else have this problem?

  • Website address hacked, emails created but not showing in manage your account

    I have a website, thebleudoor.com. It is hosted by yahoo. It gets 2000-3000 hits a day and has been for at least 5 years. A few months ago, as admin of the website, I started getting bounced back emails from newly created emails like [email protected]. Yahoo only shows 2 emails for my account. They said they can't do anything about it. Now, my "spam hacked email accounts" are getting spam. They haven't altered or used my website or email or bank info, just the good name of my website. Is there anything I can do? Do I need to be concerned? Changing my provider won't really help will it? Thank you.

    Like if host address is 100.0.0.1 and next hop address is 100.0.0.2 and destination ip address is also 100.0.0.2 Is this a valid use case? Any real life usage? <dest ip> <next hop> ip route 100.0.0.2 255.255.255.255 100.0.0.2 weight 1 next-hop-vrf GlobalRouter Above is the command on a router inside a VRF. 100.0.0.2 is pingable from host. 100.0.0.1 & 100.0.0.2 are an ip address assigned to a VLAN on host & destination respectively. On a linux box, Such configuration is valid. [root]# netstat -r -n Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface 55.55.55.55 55.55.55.55 255.255.255.255 UGH 0 0 0 eth0 [root]# ip route show 55.55.55.55 via 55.55.55.55 dev eth0 As per my understanding, If a destination IP is reachable (i.e in the same subnet of host IP) we dont need a next hop. I came across one application for using next hop for destination IP in same subnet (i.e for VPN) See this: Will packets send to the same subnet go through routers? If next hop != destination IP but they are in same subnet as that of host, is a valid scenario for VPN, then i am wondering what are the applications of next_hop==dest_ip & subnet same as host? This is my first post in Super User. Extremely happy with the quick and warm response.

  • IIS, SSL, and Virtual Directories

    I'm running a webserver on WS 2k3, IIS 6.0. Some of the content is on that server, but most is in a virtual directory linked to another server. Everything works (almost) fine when no SSL is used. However, when using SSL, I cannot access the files in the virtual directory. Instead I get a generic error 500. Any advice?

    Hi folks I have virtualbox software in my computer and I have windows 7 in host. my virtual has windows server 2008 and Sql server 2008 I have client SQL version in windows 7(host computer) but as you know virtualbox works in host-only network. I need Connection host to guest but I can not see virtual computer(win2008) from host (win7). Is there any solution ?

  • Outlook2010 : Sending hyperlinks containing a space, <> is not working

    Previously I used Outlook 2003 and I was able to send a hyperlink with a space by typing < before entering the hyperlink and a > after typing the hyperlink and the whole thing would become a valid clickable link. Like so <\\network share with spaces\folder We upgraded to Outlook 2010 and currently this happens <\\network share with spaces\folder or if I do nothing \\network share with spaces\folder Is there a setting in one of these ribbons somewhere to control this?

  • Efficient algorithm for Virtual Machine(VM) Consolidation in Cloud

    PROBLEM: We have N physical machines(PMs) each with ram Ri, cpu Ci and a set of currently scheduled VMs each with ram requirement ri and ci respectively Moving(Migrating) any VM from one PM to other has a cost associated which depends on its ram ri. A PM with no VMs is shut down to save power. Our target is to minimize the weighted sum of (N,migration cost) by migrating some VMs i.e. minimize the number of working PMs as well as not to degrade the service level due to excessive migrations. My Approach: Brute Force approach is choosing the minimum loaded PM and try to fit its VMs to other PMs by First Fit Decreasing algorithm or we can select the victim PMs and target PMs based on their loading level and shut down victims if possible by moving their VMs to targets. I tried this Greedy approach on the Data of Baadal(IIT-D cloud) but It isn't giving promising results. I have also tried to study the Ant colony optimization for dynamic VM consolidating but was unable to understand very much. It's a sharing website - everyone is allowed to download specific content, but I want to make sure nobody knows where all the files are kept, so I've decided to use URL Forwarding, e.g. when someone visits fakesite.com, it returns realsite.com without revealing/redirecting to realsite.com. Question: I don't know how to make this work. Please help me by explaining how to use URL Forwarding! Thanks!

As a result of this I installed apache and all the things that come associated with it, and also installed Joomla, and I got everything running well. My problem is, I need to make apache run this website locally, so I downloaded the public_html folder from the FTP server on my website, but I have absolutely no idea how to implement the website in order to make it run on apache. I've read a few guides, but they all tell me how to create a new website instead of helping me host a website already done.

    We have a classic ASP application that's under significantly more load than usual. We are from time to time been getting "out of memory" and "out of string space" in the httperr.   • Is Running programs by address common?

    I have read some of the things posted here and I keep reading about people running stuff like /foldername/executable -cmd NAME (was reading about a programmer using Eclipse, so he was testing something he made) I don't see things like that when I run things here (Ubuntu 12.04) because of the launcher and the Ubuntu button at the very top. That and Eclipse indigo has a button for running and testing things it makes. Just asking how and why it's common? (assuming it's the Terminal[Ctrl+alt+T] but I'm not sure)
