  Windows Vista introduced ReadyBoost which lets you use a Flash drive as a third (after RAM and HD) type of memory. It occurred to me that I could boost peformance on an old PC here w/ Win XP (32 bit, max'd at 4GB RAM) by putting it's swap file (page file) on a flash drive. (Now, before anyone comments: apparently Flash drives (10-30MB/s transfer rates) are slower than HDD (100+ MB/s) (I'm asking that as a separate question on this forum).

• Outlook 2007 + Windows 7 + Exchange Server = slow sync

  I just upgraded a Vista machine to Windows 7. The machine is running Outlook 2007 SP2 with the KB970944 performance hot fix. Now, syncing to the Exchange server can take 20 minutes, whereas it was very fast before the Windows 7 upgrade. I believe we're running Exchange 2003, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone else seeing this? Any fixes yet?

I've installed Windows 7 RTM (x64) I have this audio device: SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio I have tried using the windows 7 basic driver, and also the Vista 64-bit driver from Dell's website (details): Date: 10/29/2007 Version: 6.10.0.5511, A04 File Size: 7 MB With both drivers, I get normal stereo sound from the driver, but my 5.1 surround sound doesn't work. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix?

Windows Installer (one click installer) for Postgres 8.4.2 that can be downloaded from enterprisedb.com offers only fresh install (it does not recognizes my current installation of v8.3.3). Is it possible to upgrade with all existing databases converted and visible (automatically migrated?) in new version just after upgrade?   Hello, after a lovely blue screen my vista 64 machine decided to reconfigure one of my drives to no longer be part of my raid volume. So now my raid fails as it only has one member disk. This happened to me about 6 months ago and I just changed the disk in question back to a raid disk and all was well. However I cant seem to find that option in my bios or raid config anymore :( Any help would be appreciated
