  I am trying to create a Pareto Chart in SQL Server Reporting Service 2005. I created a chart, but having difficulties in trying to get my cumulative(line) to display. I listed my values below. =SUM(Fields!Total_SR.Value)/MAX(Fields!Total_SR.Value, "SeriesGroup")*0.75 cumulative value: =RunningValue(Fields!Total_SR, Sum, "SeriesGroup") / Sum(Fields!Total_SR, "SeriesGroup") I am able to get the Bar to display.   Hi all, I have a rather large database that has alot of decimal columns in alot of tables, the customer has now changed their mind and wants all the numbers (decimals) to have a precision of 3 d.p. instead of the original two. Is there any quick way of going through all the tables in a database and changing any decimal column in that table to have 3.d.p instead of 2 d.p? The db is on sql 2005. Any help would be great.

Is there a better way to organize infinite loop ? I know that I can use goto, but while 1=1 begin .. end looks better structurally.

  I've been doing a convert(varchar,datefield,112) on each date field that I'm using in 'between' queries in SQL server to ensure that I'm only accounting for dates and not missing any based on the time part of datetime fields. Now, I'm hearing that the converts aren't indexable and that there are better methods, in SQL Server 2005, to compare the date part of datetimes in a query to determine if dates fall in a range. What is the optimal, indexable, method of doing something like this: select * from appointments where appointmentDate='08-01-2008' and appointmentDate<'08-15-2008'

  I recall that the import tool in sql server 2000 would copy indexes, relationships, etc. In sql server 2005/2008 the import tool in SSMS will only create the tables, copy the data, but the keys, indexes, relationships are missing. I can find no option in the import wizard to enable this? What am I missing here? Is this not possible anymore for any good reason?

Currently the table doesn't have any indexes. Does adding a single non-clustered index slow down inserts at all? Or is it only clustered indexes that slow down inserts? Or should I just add a clustered index and not worry about it?
