  i want to use doctrine with my mamp. but according to doctrine's documentation it requires php version 5.2.3 or greater. i've checked my current version in mamp with phpinfo(), it says i've got version 5.2.11. how can i get mamp to work with doctrine? i have never upgraded php engine manually. thanks!

  In asynchronous environments, threading.local is not guaranteed to be context-local anymore, because several contexts may coexist within a single thread. Most asynchronous frameworks (gevent, eventlet) provide a get_current_context() functionality to identify the current context. Some offer a way to monkey-patch threading.local so it is local to 'greenthreads' or other framework-specific contexts. I cannot find such a functionality in the twisted documentation. How do I do this?

  I have a variable in Python containing a floating point number (e.g. num = 24654.123), and I'd like to determine the number's precision and scale values (in the Oracle sense), so 123.45678 should give me (8,5), 12.76 should give me (4,2), etc. I was first thinking about using the string representation (via str or repr), but those fail for large numbers: >>> num = 1234567890.0987654321 >>> str(num) = 1234567890.1 >>> repr(num) = 1234567890.0987654

  Hi, I'm working with devexpress pivot grid, so I added the paging function and everything is working fine, the only thing I need to do is display the total row on each page, at this moment it is displayed just in the last one, I was looking on DevExpress documentation and it looks like pivot grid calculate the total and gran total automatically and I don't find any thing about my task, anybody knows how can I do this???   Hey guys, was wondering how do i use the NSXML parser. so lets say given i have a simple xml file with elements like 1/1/1000 14:15:16 How could i use the NSXMLParser to parse the XML File(Its on locally btw, desktop), check through each element and store each of them in an array either to be displayed/used later?   I just want to clear this up once and for all, is it ok to subclass a UIWebView? Will I ever have to be nervous about apple rejecting the app because of a UIWebView subclass? The documentation states: Subclassing Notes The UIWebView class should not be subclassed. • Show a DB as a directory (Like Sharepoint Does)

  Hi, My team and I are programming a sort of Document Manager and the idea is to store them completely on DB. Is there a protocol or Extensions that allows us to show a "Virtual Directory" or files that are really non existent (only in DB). How does Sharepoint do this? I understand that Sharepoint uses WebDav but it implies that the files do exist physically somewhere. We intend to develop this application on .NET 4.0 and deploy it on IIS. Any suggestions?
