  When I submit my MVC Page I get an IvalidOperationException from System.Web.Mvc Controller object in the UpdateModel method. the MSDN documentation states that this method does the following: Updates the specified model instance using values from the controller's current value provider. Is the value provider referencing the current Request object? Or where exactly does it get the values that it is using to update the model? And what specifically does the UpdateModel method check and what does it 'mean' when it says that The model of type 'abcXYZ' was not successfully updated Thanks

• Lua for Wireshark: Tvp.new_real() doesn't exist?

  The documentation for Lua for Wireshark claims that the Tvp class has a new_real() method. However, this method seems to not exist when I try to use it in my Lua script. I'm using Wireshark 1.3.5 (latest dev version) for Windows x64. Did the method get renamed? If so, to what? Is there a better support forum for this particular question?

  I am using Visual Studio 2005 with Team Foundation Server. When I right click a file under the source control and choose "compare" VS appears to freeze until I hit escape.   Does windows have any decent sampling (eg. non-instrumenting) profilers available? Preferably something akin to Shark on MacOS, although i am willing to accept that i am going to have to pay for such a profiler on windows. I've tried the profiler in VS Team Suite and was not overly impressed, and was wondering if there were any other good ones.   In my Java application I have to custom-paint a control and for that I need to use the same font colors as JButton. (Enabled an disabled) I don't want to to hard-code them, because the user can change the Substance skin at runtime. I'm aware of the ColorSchemes but I'm not sure how to proceed once I have the color scheme of the current skin. Also the Substance documentation says something about creating your own color scheme, but I just can't figure out the way to retrieve a certain color.

  The API defined in the ADL SDK manual reads: int ADL_Display_ConnectedDisplays_Get(int iAdapterIndex, int* lpConnections) They say that lpConnections is the pointer to the bit field indicating whether the output connectors on the specified adapter have devices physically attached to them. This information is exactly what I want but nowhere in the documentation I could find any data on what the various bits in the lpConnections obtained might mean. I also tried going through the header files but found nothing relevant on this. I know this is very specific to but can anyone here answer?

The problem is interfacing with a usb controller. There doesn't seem to be any good documentation out there and on top of that .NET3.0/3.5 doesn't have any libs to help you out.
