  • Dynamically generate PDF and email it using django

    I have a django app that dynamically generates a PDF (using reportlab + pypdf) from user input on an HTML form, and returns the HTTP response with an application/pdf MIMEType. I want to have the option between doing the above, or emailing the generated pdf, but I cannot figure out how to use the EmailMessage class's attach(filename=None, content=None, mimetype=None) method. The documentation doesn't give much of a description of what kind of object content is supposed to be. I've tried a file object and the above application/pdf HTTP response. I currently have a workaround where my view saves a pdf to disk, and then I attach the resulting file to an outgoing email using the attach_file() method. This seems wrong to me, and I'm pretty sure there is a better way.

  • How to get rid of Drupal CSS stylesheets?

    I am trying to accomplish the following. I need to use Drupal 6 as a project requirement, but I want to use it with my own HTML and CSS stylesheets for each node/view/panel etc. The problem is, whatever the theme, I always found that Drupal applies to my HTML content both my CSS stylesheets and the CSS related to the theme chosen. I have also tried, without success, using the stylestripper module (installed in sites/all/modules). No matter what I do, additional CSS stylesheets are applied to my pages, completely destroying my layout. What is the proper way to achieve this? Why stylestripper does not work at all? Is there a completely blank theme available? I have tried basic, mothership, zen etc, but I always see additional CSS stylesheets applied to my pages. This is driving me crazy, Drupal was chosen by someone else for its flexibility. Thank you in advance.

    I have two directory entries, a and b. Before, a and b point to different inodes. Afterwards, I want b to point to the same inode as a does. I want this to be safe - by which I mean if I fail somewhere, b either points to its original inode or the a inode. most especially I don't want to end up with b disappearing. mv is atomic when overwriting. ln appears to not work when the destination already exists. so it looks like i can say: ln a tmp mv tmp b which in case of failure will leave a 'tmp' file around, which is undesirable but not a disaster. Is there a better way to do this? (what I'm actually trying to do is replace files that have identical content with a single inode containing that content, shared between all directory entries)

  • CSS Files Don't Refresh with Wicket (Launched in Intellij via Start.java)

    I have create a skeleton Wicket project using mvn archetype:create -DarchetypeGroupId=org.apache.wicket -DarchetypeArtifactId=wicket-archetype-quickstart -DarchetypeVersion=1.4-rc4 -DgroupId=com.mycompany -DartifactId=myproject All the configuration/importing new project with Maven/Intellij worked fine. I proceeded to add a basic CSS file to my start page, per the following recommended way of doing it in Wicket 1.4 public class BasePage extends WebPage { public BasePage() { add(CSSPackageResource.getHeaderContribution(BasePage.class, "main.css")); } } The main.css file has been put along side BasePage.java and BasePage.html in /src/main/java. I launch the application with Start.java. The problem is when I make changes to the CSS file it is not being picked up when I relaunch Start.java. (Changes to the java and html files are being updated when I change them) I made sure the browser cache was being cleared, and even valided the request/response in Firfox/Firebug. It seems like somewhere between Wicket's magic and the jetty instance Start.java creates the CSS file is being cached and not updated. Any ideas?

  • Filter Calendar view SharePoint WWS 3.0

    Hi all, I have a SP site with a calendarview and would like to filter this on the basis of the current user. Don't be afraid I already figured out how do to this with a list customizing some excisting jScripts and working with Content Editor WebPart. Yet this jScript does not work in a Calendar. To paint a picture I have columns like: Judge1 Lawyer Clerk (example). Underneath these columns there are names ofcourse. However these are not shown in Calendar view, so it is hard to filter on something that is not displayed only the casenumbers. Now I've been thinking (not always wise) perhaps I can adjust the aspx page of calendar/list by adjusting a filter I applied in SharePoint. This would also solve the issue of displaying all the content before it filters with Java, since it should not be possible for users to see the entire listcontent (security). I went to Modify list view and created a filter where judge1 = Mr. J. Jenkins. Then I went to SharePoint Designer and opend the Calendar aspx page. To my expectation I found Mr. J. Jenkins with the following code: Since I can't display image because i'm new, not very handy discrimination I have to give you a url. Code can't be pasted either is completely messes it up even with codemode on. Hyperlink CODE IMAGE Keep in mind I just posted a very tiny part of the code (only the part I want to change). Now I have no idea what kind of code this is above this text (SP wss 3.0 uses for aspx pages), but I would like to change Mr. J. Jenkins into a jScript var/val. Since I already managed to get the current user that is logged in content. var user = jP.getUserProfile(); var userinfspvalue = user.Department; There is more code around that one 2 ofcourse, yet to give you a picture. The var userinfspvalue is what I would like to replace the text Mr. J. Jenkins into. This would mean the calendar would be dynamically filtered based upon the current user that is logged on.     Hi all. In my iPhone app I'm using a UIWebView to allow the user to browse to an XML document on a website. When the user has found the xml document they want, they click a button below the UIWebView. Then I try to read the contents of the XML document from the UIWebView using: NSString *xml = [webView stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString:@"document.getElementByTagName('rootXmlNodeName')[0].innerHTML"]; This doesn't work for me for XML documents. It works fine in a HTML page, e.g. using "html" for the rootXmlNodeName in the code snippet above. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • Using CSS Classes for individual effects - opinions?

    Hey, Just trying to canvas some opinions here. I was wondering how people go about adding individual effects to html elements. Take this example: you have three types of h1 titles all the same size but some are black some are gold and some are white. Some have a text-shadow etc. Would you create separate CSS classes and add them do the h1 tag or would you create a new single class for each different h1 title type (with grouped CSS elements)? With singular class for each effect you can build up combos of classes in html class="gold shadow" but also how would you name them. For example its bad practice to give classes and id names associated to colours, because it doesn't define what it does well. However is this ok with textual CSS classes? Just wondering what others do, I know there are no hard and fast rules. Cheers.

  • Delphi native Web Service applications not working. IIS 7 seems to be stripping the pathinfo

    I've run into an interesting problem that I never encountered with XP or IIS 6. Basically, I can't get a native Delphi (WebBroker) Web service server to work with a native Web service client in Windows 7 64-bit. Here's the most basic breakdown. If I create a new Web service application in Delphi 2010 (or any version, back to Delphi 7), and access it using IE 8, I can see the HTML that the WSDLHTMLPublish component creates, but I can never get to the SOAP. In the same way, the WSDL Importer cannot get to the SOAP either. (I have IIS 7 configured to use a 32-bit application pool, and I have created a working Script Map to the Handler Mappings. In short, the 32-bit ISAPI Web service is running). For example, I have a simple Web service server named TestService (created using the default sample interface generated when you create a new Web service server). I installed it in a virtual directory named scripts. If I enter http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll/wsdl, IIS 7 displays the page http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll. If I put my mouse over the WSDL link for the ITestService, I see http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll/wsdl/ITestService in the status bar. However, when I click this link, the address bar shows http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll/wsdl/ITestService, but I see only the HTML from http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll. There seems no way to get to the SOAP definition. IIS 7 seems to be ignoring everything after the script name (it is ignoring the pathinfo). Additional evidence that IIS7 is stripping off the pathinfo is that if I pause my mouse over the ITestService link, the statusbar shows http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll?intf=ITestService. Clicking that link takes me to another HTML page, the one associated with http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll?intf=ITestService. However, any link that includes a pathinfo following the script name, takes me simply to http://localhost/scripts/TestService.dll. I have tested this in Delphi 7, Delphi 2010, and Delphi XE, with the same results. I am guessing that IIS7 is stripping off the pathinfo, since even the WSDL Importer cannot get to the SOAP definition. Tried creating a new Web service using the CGI option, and got the same result. Have any idea what is going on? Added: Bob Swart reports he has had no problems under Windows 7 32-bit. Downloading the 32-bit OS and will try that (in a new VM).

    I want to set up a reverse proxy from one of our intranet IIS sites to point to another tomcat server. Eg, i want the user to browse to 'http://our-iis-server/friendly-url' and for it to reverse proxy to 'http://our-tomcat-server/ugly-url'. What would be the best solution for this? I've narrowed it down to three options: http://www.managedfusion.com/products/url-rewriter/documentation.aspx http://www.isapirewrite.com/ http://www.codeplex.com/IIRF Also, can these tools rewrite the links in the html?     Hi, I found several solutions for creating Flash LSOs from JavaScript (for example: http://www.nuff-respec.com/technology/cross-browser-cookies-with-flash ) If Page (www.hostA.com/index.html) and the .swf file are from the same site, everything works fine. No I'm trying to load the page form www.hostA.com/index.html, which includes www.hostB.com/flashcookie.swf (different sites). But then I cannot read or store the LSO. I have tried several configurations (crossdomain.xml, Security.allowDomain("...") ), but nothing works. Is this kind of cross domain access to a LSO possible? Thanks -stephan

  • Site Actions menu in SharePoint is WSS-like, whereas I have installed MOSS

    I had WSS installed on my VM and then uninstalled in order to install MOSS Enterprise I can see a lot of the MOSS stuff in the Central Administration pages but when I create a new web application and site collection, my Site Actions dropdown is showing the WSS version, i.e. Create, Edit Page and Site Settings as opposed to the MOSS menu which has View All Site Content, View Reports, Manage Content and Structure etc. I just tried deleting my web app and creating it all again but it's come back with the same thing again. Is somewhere remembering that I used to have WSS installed? (yes I know MOSS is built on top of WSS but you know what I mean!)

For the moment, I stock data in Markdown format but If I disabled JavaScript the user can push easy XSS. If I strip_tags or html_entities all data i loose the user html/xml . How can I do ? In my opinion I must html_entities just the code between pre /pre, but how?! my data is in Markdown.     I have been struggling with this for some times.. I searched around but didnt get a solution yet. This is only an issue on production server. In my development environment, everything works just fine. I am using JQuery/Ajax to update product information based on product's Color attribute. for example, a product has A and B color, the price for color A is different from color B. When user choose different color, the price information is updated as well. I think its some configuration in the production server which automatially redirects my webservice call to some other URL, but since the product server is out of my control, i am seeking a local fix for this.     Hello, My goal is to make a wide map using only one square image. Using actionscript 3 the solution is to simply make new Bitmap from the Loader: var loader:Loader = new Loader(); loader.load(new URLRequest("xyz.png")); this.addChild(loader); var duplicationBitmap:Bitmap = new Bitmap(Bitmap(loader.content).bitmapData); Unluckily, Haxe API doesn't allow to do that. I can't get bitmapData from loader content… Anyone has a clue? Thanks.

    The following C# WCF based REST service gives me some undesired headers that I'm not sure if I can remove them trough the API. The interface: [ServiceContract] public interface IControlSystem { [OperationContract] [WebGet] System.IO.Stream About(); } The implementation: public class ControlSystem : IControlSystem { public System.IO.Stream About() { return new System.IO.MemoryStream(ASCIIEncoding.Default.GetBytes("Hello World")); } } Out of a raw socket connection it gives the following response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: ASP.NET Development Server/9.0.0.0 Date: Tue, 15 Jun 2010 13:12:51 GMT X-AspNet-Version: 2.0.50727 Cache-Control: private Content-Type: application/octet-stream Content-Length: 39 Connection: Close Hello World Question is, is it possible to get the server to not report anything other than the actual message? Need it in some calls so due to some small embedded device clients that will try to connect to the server and I would like to minimize the amount of parsing. Thanks, B.
