• Why don't I have access to setReadDataOnly() or enableMemoryOptimization() in PHPExcel?

  I've downloaded PHPExcel 1.7.5 Production. I would like to use setReadDataOnly() and enableMemoryOptimization() as discussed in their forum here and in stackoverflow questions. However when I use them, I get a Call to undefined method error. Is there another version or some plugin or library that I have not installed?   Hello, In the code below, "created" is a field in a MySQL table. This field is of the type "timestamp" and the default is set to "CURRENT_TIMESTAMP" of whenever a given row is created. In the query below, I would like to create a new variable that equals the present date minus the timestamp of "created", rounded off to units of days.   I've a table which has 3 columns: id, a_id and b_id. Suppose rows are like this: 1, a1, b1 2, a1, b2 3, a1, b3 4, a2, b4 5, a2, b5 6, a2, b6 I want to convert it to 1, a1, b1 2, a1, b1 3, a1, b1 4, a2, b4 5, a2, b4 6, a2, b4 So I want to make all the b_id corresponding to a_id same, and equal to the one which is found first. How can I do this? For simplicity, I've removed other columns from table. So please ignore row duplication here.

• Cannot send HTML Emails

  Well I'm trying to send a HTML email using gmail smtp from CI, and it seems to reject my emails when they have any amount of tables. No error is given, they just do not appear in my inbox. If I send an email with light HTML and no tables, they go through. • Given an array of arrays, how can I strip out the substring "GB" from each value?

  Each item in my array is an array of about 5 values.. Some of them are numerical ending in "GB".. I need the same array but with "GB" stripped out so that just the number remains. So I need to iterate through my whole array, on each subarray take each value and strip the string "GB" from it and create a new array from the output. Can anyone recommend and efficient method of doing this?

I've been working on this for hours but I can't seem to get anywhere. Using recursion I can navigate through every path but I'm just unsure as to how I should record the lengths of the paths.   Is it possible to loop through a query so that if (for example) 500,000 rows are found, it'll return results for the first 10,000 and then rerun the query again? So, what I want to do is run a query and build an array, like this: $result = pg_query("SELECT * FROM myTable"); $i = 0; while($row = pg_fetch_array($result) ) { $myArray[$i]['id'] = $row['id']; $myArray[$i]['name'] = $row['name']; $i++; } But, I know that there will be several hundred thousand rows, so I wanted to do it in batches of like 10,000... 1- 9,999 and then 10,000 - 10,999 etc... The reason why is because I keep getting this error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3 bytes) Which, incidentally, I don't understand how 3 bytes could exhaust 512M... So, if that's something that I can just change, that'd be great, although, still might be better to do this in batches?

• How can I stop cURL from outputting the contents of the page it loads into the browser?

  I currently use curl_multi_* to connect to a few sites. Its only sending a few $_GET variables to start a script, but it outputs the html from the sites to the browser. I want to stop this. I already use a short timeout, but sometimes the scripts start fast, and I don't want to set the timeout any lower, in case it causes it not to connect. So how can I stop the output to the browser from cURL?

• Should I have a separate copy of all CakePHP files for every new application?

  I'm extremely new to CakePHP. From what I've gathered, it seems like I can have multiple applications that all share the same app and cake directories. So, let's say I have two applications. CakeFacebookApp and GenericCakeBlog. These applications are completely separate from each other and will have completely separate URLs, but they will reside on the same webhost. Should they both be within the same cake structure, or should they each have a full cake install in separate directories? Technically, I'm sure it will work either way, but I guess I'm looking for a best practice approach. Thanks.

  Hi, I am building an app on top of Google Reader. Since users have to enter their Google Account data, I'd like to use this data to assign personal settings to each user. However, if I do so and a user would change his email adress or password(for the whole Google Account), I wouldn't be able to identify him anymore. Thus, I need to know if there's a Google Account ID or something that I can use to identify users regardless of an email adress or password. Thanks for your help!
