• Best stats tool for cross-domain traacking

  We build a webapp that allows users to run the app under their own subdomain. So we run the app under search.domainX.com, search.domainY.com and so on. They each have their own Google Analytics to track individual stats. But we want to know what general traffic for all clients of our app. So we want to know stuff like "among all our clients we had x number of views." What is the best way tool to track that sort of thing.

• Ubuntu Surround Sound Help?

  I am running Ubuntu 12.10 on a Sony Vaio VGC-RB34G ( http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/sony-vaio-vgc-rb34g/4505-3118_7-31289053.html ) with an integrated Realtek High Definition Audio sound card. On Windows, I can set up the sound card to provide sound to my surround sound system from the Line Out, Line In, and Mic ports, as in all of these are producing audio. I have tried to use alsa to achieve this result with no luck. Is there any possible way to do this on Ubuntu? Thanks! I have uploaded sitemap vai google webmaster tools many times. Influxis doesn't have the features that Bits on the Run has but platform usage for BOTR gets expensive. I was thinking of moving the videos to Amazon CDN. • reasonably priced registrar for obscure tlds like .tt

  I'm looking to buy a .tt domain name, however the only registrars I can find want from between $500 to $3000 for one domain. Considering I can buy a .com for around $10 a year, I consider that not very reasonable! It's going to be for a personal blog site (non monetised), hence why I'm not willing to spend over $500 a year on it. Does anyone know of any registrars that sell obscure tld's such as .tt for reasonable price? As for my definition of "reasonable", I understand it's not a .com and I'm going to have to pay more, but $3000 is just silly! In my opinion I'd say anything under $100 is reasonable.

• Drive By Download Issue

  I'm getting a drive by download issue reported on www.cottonsandwichquiltshop.com/catalog/index.php?manufacturers_id=19&sort=2a&filterid=61 reported from safeweb.norton.com when I scan the root url. I have dug through the entire site architecture, and code base and removed a few files that were malicious, i upgraded the site's framework and fixed the security holes (mostly sql injection concerns)..... However this one threat still exists and I can't locate it for the life of me, or find any valid research or information on removing this type of threat at the server level, mostly just a bunch of anti-virus software wanting to sell you on their ability to manage it on the client end. PLEASE HELP Thanks.

  I want to run diskless booting with PXE. The gotchas at the end of the Diskless-Howto[1] is quite long. I am unsure how to get this done. Here are my current possible solutions: use debian live and not ubuntu use aufs [2] The How-To states "confirmed to work with Ubuntu 12.04.". But maybe I am doing something wrong, I don't think it works this way for several diskless clients sharing one nfsroot. What is the most painless way to get diskless workstations? • BleachBit: How to Completely Clear URL History in Firefox?

  14.04 / Firefox 29.0 I've been using Bleachbit to clear usage/file history, and for the most part it works great. However, it doesn't seem to clear the website hostnames out of the URL, at all. These addresses are not bookmarked. Also, the total URL isn't preserved, just the hostname. Visit site http://www.bluesnews.com/some_random_URL_string Exit Firefox Run Bleachbit, with ALL Firefox options selected Restart Firefox Check history: completely empty, other than bookmarked sites. www.bluesnews is NOT bookmarked Type "blue" which is Firefox automatically completes as "http://www.bluesnews.com/" Alternate Step #3: Use Firefox's built-in "Clear History" and select ALL entries with a time frame of "Everything". Same result as above. My inquiry in BB forums hasn't been responded to. I found Dan's proposed solution, however changing autocomplete in about:config only turns off the function, it doesn't actually stop storing URLs.

  Possible Duplicate: How should I handle search engines auto-correcting the spelling of a site's name? My domain name is radiuus.com. Since the correct spelling of the word is with one u, when I search for "radiuus" on google it thinks I'm misspelling the word, kindly lets me know, and returns results for "radius".   We have a website that has two URLs (one for the US side and another for the Canadian side which is then broken into Canadian English and Canadian French). For the purposes of my question, I will write as: www.us_url.com (US) www.canada_url.ca/ca_en/ (Canadian English) www.canada_url.ca/ca_fr/ (Canadian French) To make sure people are on the correct site, what do I do if they go to the US URL with Canadian English content (e.g. www.us_url.com/ca_en/canada.asp) but I want to make sure the URL is the Canadian one (e.g. www.canada_url.ca/ca_en/canada.asp) so it shows up properly in Google Analytics. We're using IIS 7 and classic ASP.

I've installed 32 and 64bit versions of Ubuntu Server with the same behavior. sudo tasksel check OpenStack hit Okay then I get a tasksel: aptitude failed (100) I've seen: http://www.hastexo.com/resources/docs/installing-openstack-essex-20121-ubuntu-1204-precise-pangolin and https://github.com/EmilienM/doc-openstack documentation, but I was hoping that since it was an LTS released and it was an option in tasksel that I was simply overlooking something obvious and it's just a matter of selecting the right checkbox and hitting okay. As you might have read the support.oracle.com  flash site will be replaced with what you see in supporthtml.oracle.com,  once we get the rest of the features and functions ported over to the html site.   I list about 9,000 records on my little site. At the moment I'm showing them with a dynamic page, like http://domain.com/records.php?id=019031 But I'd like to start using meaningful URLs like this one on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Library-Mythology-Oxford-Worlds-Classics/dp/0199536325 where the title string on the root level gets ignored and requests are redirected to the records.php page, which accepts the ID as usual. Does anybody know how I could achieve that with mod_rewrite? I'm wondering how I'd deal with requests to my other root-level pages, like http://domain.com/contact.php, that I don't want to redirect to the records page.

• Google Analytics doesn't show the correct landing page for my Facebookd ads

  Most of the visitors to my site are supposed to come from external link with URL my-seite.com/en/var from Facebook ads but Google Analytics shows that most of the landing page is my-site.com/var without en which is the prefix for English version of my site. Am I missing something to configure Google Analytics ? or Facebook has sending the visitors to the wrong URL (by the preview page of the Facebbok ads the URL is set correct with the prefix en)? Any advise are appreciated. Thanks.

• Alot of Pirated Material on Someone's Website - What Can Be Done?

  Hi, We've developed our website for over 10 years. Recently a website in China has begun to pirate our images and product descriptions (they are showing "new" March offerings). Nearly all of the items they "offer" are ours. Their whois leads to an outfit in France which by chance also hosts a website for Steroids, and both the Steroid and the pirate site share an 800 phone number (coincidence??). The pirate site lists "their" products as being available in mass quantities, though very often the actual product is one-of-a-kind. The images they've stolen appear in google searches alongside our own!! Clicking on any product at the pirate site leads to nowhere. Calls to the 800 number lead to a recorded answer.   What causes the flash of white to the right of a responsive design when changing orientation from portrait to landscape on iOS? Try it on iOS6 Safari: Websites like this don't do it: http://html5boilerplate.com But this one does: http://www.initializr.com Something to do with re-processing (CPU lag) to fit a wider screen? It doesn't happen in Chrome for iOS6... Update: I just removed all img and from my testing site, but it still happens. This seems to happen with a lot of different websites out there. Is it a bug with their code, or a Safari for iOS bug? Others are completely immune to it...

  Sometimes we need to take small notes to remember things, one way to do this is to use stick notes and have them all around our desktop. But what happening if you have a lot of notes and a small office? You'll need a piece of software that will sort things for you and also it will provide you a quick way to retrieve the notes when need. Did I mention that this will keep your desktop clean and also will reduce paper waste? During the next days we'll gonna create an application that will let you manage your notes, put them in different categories etc. I'll show you step by step what do you need to do and finally you'll have the application run on multiple systems, such as Mac, Windows, Linux, etc. The only pre-requisition for this lesson is to have JDK 7 with JavaFX installed and an IDE, preferably NetBeans. I'll call this application Notes…. Part I - Say Hello from Java  From NetBeans go to Files->New Project Chose JavaFX->JavaFX FXML Application Project Name: Notes FXML name: NotesUI Check Create Application Class and name it Main After this the project is created and you'll see the following structure As a best practice I advice you to have your code in your own package instead of the default one. right click on Source Packages and chose New->Java Package name it something like this: com.turuga.notes and click Next after the package is created, select all the 3 files from step #3 and drag them over the new package chose Refactor, as this will make sure all the references are correctly moved inside the new package now you should have the following structure if you'll try to run the project you'll get an error: Unable to find class: Main right click on project name Notes and click properties go to Run and you'll see Application Class set to Main, but because we have defined our own packages, this location has been change, so click on Browse and the correct one appear: com.turuga.notes.Main last modification before running the project is to right click on NotesUI.fxml and chose Edit (if you'll double click it will open in JavaFX Scene Builder) look around line 9 and change fx:controller="NotesUIController" to fx:controller="com.turuga.notes.NotesUIController" now you are ready to run it and you should see the following On the next lesson we'll continue to play with NetBeans and start working on the interface of our project
