  • Invalid message signature when running OpenId Provider on Cluster

    Introduction We have an OpenID Provider which we created using the DotNetOpenAuth component. Everything works great when we run the provider on a single node, but when we move the provider to a load balanced cluster where multiple servers are handling requests for each session we get issue with the message signing as the DotNetOpenAuth component seems to be using something unique from each cluster node to create the signature.     This won't be a question, but a solution to an infuriating problem on Ubuntu 10.04. If you tried to deploy an LDAP server using this distro following the tutorials below, you'll be on serious trouble. Tutorials: https://help.ubuntu.com/9.10/serverguide/C/openldap-server.html https://help.ubuntu.com/9.10/serverguide/C/samba-ldap.html The error first appear, on the line: "ldapsearch -xLLL -b cn=config -D cn=admin,cn=config -W olcDatabase=hdb olcAccess" It simply won't allow admin to access the "cn=config", thus you won't be able to deploy the LDAP server correctly. After almost a week searching for a solution, I've found this page: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-docs/+bug/333733 On comment #5, the solution is presented.   • Reverse proxy with SSL and IP passthrough?

    Turns out that the IP of a much-needed new website is blocked from inside our organization's network for reasons that will take weeks to fix. In the meantime, could we set up a reverse proxy on an Internet-based server which will forward SSL traffic and perhaps client IPs to the external site? Load will be light. No need to terminate SSL on the proxy. We may be able to poison DNS so original URL can work. How do I learn if I need URL rewriting? Squid/apache/nginx/something else? Setup would be fastest on Win 2000, but other OSes are OK if that would help. Simple and quick are good since it's a temporary solution. Thanks for your thoughts!

  • Requiring SSH-key Login Via PAM From Specific IP Ranges

    I need to be able to access my server (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS) from remote sites, but I'd like to worry a bit less about password complexity. Thus, I'd like to require that SSH keys be used for login instead of name/password. However, I still have a lot to learn about security, and having already badly broken a test box when I was trying to set this up, I'm acutely aware of the chance of screwing myself while trying to accomplish this. So I have a second goal: I'd like to require that certain IP ranges (e.g. 10.0.0.0/8) may log in with name/password, but everyone else must use an SSH key to log in. How can I satisfy both of these goals? There already exists a very similar question here, but I can't quite figure out how to get to what I want from that information. Current tactic: reading through the PAM documentation (pam_access looks promising) and looking at /etc/ssh/sshd_config.

  • FTPS SSH Host Key after IP Address Change

    I have a Secure FTP (FTPS) server that my remote sites to upload files to daily via scripted routines that run. I have had issues in the past when upgrading hardware and deploying new servers causing the RSA Fingerprint to change for that server. Then all my remote sites can't connect until I have the old key removed (usually via ssh_keygen -r myserver.com). I now have to change the IP address for myserver.com and I wondered if there is anyway to proactively generate new host keys so that when the server address changes all my FTPS client remote sites don't break?

  • Maven problem with invalid jar file which is actually html

    i'm running into a problem in my maven build recently, that it downloads a jar file for the javamail-1.4.jar or something, but it turns out the file is not a real jar file, it's actually a html with a link to where to get the correct jar. it seems to be the repo has changed for that. but in my maven setting everything is supposely to go to our internal repo, i don't know how did that happen. but anyways, more importantly, how do i fix this problem so that it will download the correct jar file on a fresh install? thanks!

    For a generic filter to exclude all traffic in my dump that is between private IP address, I came up with the following: sudo tcpdump -n ' (not ( (src net 172.16.0.0/20 or src net 10.0.0.0/8 or src net 192.168.0.0/16) and (dst net 172.16.0.0/20 or dst net 10.0.0.0/8 or dst net 192.168.0.0/16) ) ) and (not ( (dst net 172.16.0.0/20 or dst net 10.0.0.0/8 or dst net 192.168.0.0/16) and (src net 172.16.0.0/20 or src net 10.0.0.0/8 or src net 192.168.0.0/16) ) )' -w test2.dump Seems pretty excessive, but it also seems to work, is this filter a lot longer than it needs to be and there is better way to express this logic, or is there anything wrong with the filter?

  • Resolve a many-SSL-to-one IP for clients browsers that doesn't support SNI

    Whoa, acronyms :) So according to this question you can have multiple SSL subdomains on one IP address as long as your server supports TLS (which Apache 2.2x does). Another answer to that question points out that the client browser must have SNI support to work, which IE doesn't have on Windows XP. So, what happens to people with that browser is a warning message saying that the SSL cert doesn't match the domain. Can one resolve this issue for those client browsers without SNI support? Does a wildcard (for subdomains) do the trick? Are there other (cheaper) options?

The only solution I had was to forbid substituting reference type as T (for example, T cannot be std::string&) but that's a sad solution since I have to create another singleArgCallbackAcceptingReference class accepting a function pointer with following signature: void (*callbackMethod)(T& arg); thus, my code gets duplicated 2^n times, where n is the number of arguments of a callback function. Does anybody know any workaround or has any idea how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Wish to know if the following setup is ok : 119.xxx.xxx.xxx points to Window Web Server 119.xxx.xxx.xxx/Linux_Server points to the new additional Linux Server. If the above scheme is ok, then how should it be done. (In terms of where the router should be placed and configured etc). I used the custom form and custom backend from that post and the widget and field from this tutorial. My form is displaying properly with the recaptcha widget but when I submit it throws the error about the missing IP. What's the best way to pass the IP using django-registration?

  • VS2010 converted project invalid reference

    Opening a .Net 2 project in VS2010 it converts the project without any issues BUT when I attempt to build it fails. The reason is that in VS2005 a reference was added to System.Web.Extensions which is a .Net 3.5 assembly. Now VS2005 never complained at this and quite happily worked but VS2010 is far more strict and won't allow it. I've tried changing the targeted framework to .Net 3.5 but I get another situation there where the web page is never displayed, it simply hangs not even getting to Applicatin_OnStart. Any help either on adding the reference with .Net 2 as target framework (prefered option for time) or getting the .Net 3.5 version to work would be greatly appreciated.

    I bought a domain name on godaddy.com let's call it www.website.com, but my server has a dynamic ip, how do I resolve this issue? What I've tried: get a dns account at dyndns.com let's call it dns.dyndns.com, so I set up godaddy to forward the domain to dns.dyndns.com. problem: When the user goes to www.website.com, they see dns.dyndns.com in the url bar. Bad So then I set up the forwarding on godaddy to forward with domain masking, but then the problem is now that users can't even see url paths/get queries/ or hash marks anymore! `www.website.com/folder/search?id=4#ajax=4` becomes just www.website.com in the url bar. bad! What do I do?

As an example, I want to map ports 80, 443 and 8080 on 232.21.23.23 (public) to 192.168.122.12 (private).     I'm attempting to use the new Graph API Facebook recently released, but I can't seem to get it to work correctly. I've gone through the steps, and after the /authorize call, I receive an access_token: access_token=109002049121898|nhKwSTJVPbUZ5JYyIH3opCBQMf8.
