  • Cisco 881 losing NAT NVI translation config after reload

    - by MasterRoot24
This is a weird one, so I'll try to explain in as much detail as I can so I'm giving the whole picture. As I've mentioned in my other questions, I'm in the process of setting up a new Cisco 881 as my WAN router and NAT firewall. I'm facing an issue where NAT NVI rules that I have configured are not enabled after a reload of the router, regardless of the fact that they are present in the startup-config. In order to clarify this a little, here's the relevant section of my current running-config: Router1#show running-config | include nat source ip nat source list 1 interface FastEthernet4 overload ip nat source list 2 interface FastEthernet4 overload ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 1723 interface FastEthernet4 1723 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 80 interface FastEthernet4 80 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 443 interface FastEthernet4 443 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 25 interface FastEthernet4 25 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 587 interface FastEthernet4 587 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 143 interface FastEthernet4 143 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 993 interface FastEthernet4 993 ...and here's the mappings 'in action': Router1#show ip nat nvi translations | include --- tcp <WAN IP>:25 192.168.1.x:25 --- --- tcp <WAN IP>:80 192.168.1.x:80 --- --- tcp <WAN IP>:143 192.168.1.x:143 --- --- tcp <WAN IP>:443 192.168.1.x:443 --- --- tcp <WAN IP>:587 192.168.1.x:587 --- --- tcp <WAN IP>:993 192.168.1.x:993 --- --- tcp <WAN IP>:1723 192.168.1.x:1723 --- --- ...and here's proof that the mappings are saved to startup-config: Router1#show startup-config | include nat source ip nat source list 1 interface FastEthernet4 overload ip nat source list 2 interface FastEthernet4 overload ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 1723 interface FastEthernet4 1723 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 80 interface FastEthernet4 80 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 443 interface FastEthernet4 443 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 25 interface FastEthernet4 25 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 587 interface FastEthernet4 587 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 143 interface FastEthernet4 143 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.x 993 interface FastEthernet4 993 However, look what happens after a reload of the router: Router1#reload Proceed with reload? [confirm]Connection to router closed by remote host. Connection to router closed. $ ssh joe@router Password: Authorized Access only Router1>en Password: Router1#show ip nat nvi translations | include --- Router1# Router1#show ip nat translations | include --- tcp 188.222.181.173:25 192.168.1.2:25 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:80 192.168.1.2:80 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:143 192.168.1.2:143 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:443 192.168.1.2:443 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:587 192.168.1.2:587 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:993 192.168.1.2:993 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:1723 192.168.1.2:1723 --- --- Router1# Here's proof that the running config should have the mappings setup as NVI: Router1#show running-config | include nat source ip nat source list 1 interface FastEthernet4 overload ip nat source list 2 interface FastEthernet4 overload ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 1723 interface FastEthernet4 1723 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 80 interface FastEthernet4 80 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 443 interface FastEthernet4 443 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 25 interface FastEthernet4 25 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 587 interface FastEthernet4 587 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 143 interface FastEthernet4 143 ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 993 interface FastEthernet4 993 At this point, the mappings are not working (inbound connections from WAN on the HTTP/IMAP fail). I presume that this is because my interfaces are using ip nat enable for use with NVI mappings, instead of ip nat inside/outside. So, I re-apply the mappings: Router1#configure ter Router1#configure terminal Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. Router1(config)#ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 1723 interface FastEthernet4 1723 Router1(config)#ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 80 interface FastEthernet4 80 Router1(config)#ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 443 interface FastEthernet4 443 Router1(config)#ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 25 interface FastEthernet4 25 Router1(config)#ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 587 interface FastEthernet4 587 Router1(config)#ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 143 interface FastEthernet4 143 Router1(config)#ip nat source static tcp 192.168.1.2 993 interface FastEthernet4 993 Router1(config)#end ... then they show up correctly: Router1#show ip nat nvi translations | include --- tcp 188.222.181.173:25 192.168.1.2:25 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:80 192.168.1.2:80 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:143 192.168.1.2:143 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:443 192.168.1.2:443 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:587 192.168.1.2:587 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:993 192.168.1.2:993 --- --- tcp 188.222.181.173:1723 192.168.1.2:1723 --- --- Router1# Router1#show ip nat translations | include --- Router1# ... furthermore, now from both WAN and LAN, the services mapped above now work until the next reload. All of the above is required every time I have to reload the router (which is all too often at the moment :-( ). Here's my full current config: ! ! • Maven Assembly Plugin - install the created assembly

    - by Walter White
I have a project that simply consists of files. I want to package those files into a zip and store them in a maven repository. I have the assembly plugin configured to build the zip file and that part works just fine, but I cannot seem to figure out how to install the zip file? Also, if I want to use this assembly in another artifact, how would I do that? I am intending on calling dependency:unpack, but I don't have an artifact in the repository to unpack. How can I get a zip file to be in my repository so that I may re-use it in another artifact? parent pom <build> <plugins> <plugin> <!--<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>--> <artifactId>maven-assembly-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.2-beta-5</version> <configuration> <filters> <filter></filter> </filters> <descriptors> <descriptor>../packaging.xml</descriptor> </descriptors> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> </build> Child POM <parent> <groupId>com. ... .virtualHost</groupId> <artifactId>pom</artifactId> <version>0.0.1</version> <relativePath>../pom.xml</relativePath> </parent> <name>Virtual Host - ***</name> <groupId>com. ... .virtualHost</groupId> <artifactId>***</artifactId> <version>0.0.1</version> <packaging>pom</packaging> I filtered the name out. Is this POM correct? I just want to bundle files for a particular virtual host together. Thanks, Walter

  • Delete Nodes + attributes that match Xpath except specific attributes

    - by Ryan Ternier
I'm trying to find the best (efficient) way of doing this. I have a medium sized XML document. Depending on specific settings certain portions of it need to be filtered out for security reasons. I'll be doing this in XSLT as it's configurable and no code should need changing. I've looked around, but not getting much luck on it. For example: I have the following XPath: //*[@root='2.16.840.1.113883.3.51.1.1.6.1'] Whicrooth gives me all nodes with a root attribute equal to a specific OID. In these nodes I want to have all attributes except for a few (ex. foo and bar) erased, and then having another attribute added (ex. reason) I also need to have multiple XPath expressions that can be ran to zero down on a specific node and clear it's contents out in a similar fashion, with respect to nodes with specific attributes. I'm playing around with information from: XPath expression to select all XML child nodes except a specific list? and XSLT Remove Elements and/or Attributes by Name per XSL Parameters Will update shortly when I can have access what what I"ve done so far. Example: XML Before Transformation <root> <childNode> <innerChild root="2.16.840.1.113883.3.51.1.1.6.1" a="b" b="c" type="innerChildness"/> <innerChildSibling/> </childNode> <animals> <cat> <name>bob</name> </cat> </animals> <tree/> <water root="2.16.840.1.113883.3.51.1.1.6.1" z="zed" l="ell" type="liquidLIke"/> </root> After <root> <childNode> <innerChild root="2.16.840.1.113883.3.51.1.1.6.1" flavor="MSK"/> <!-- filtered --> <innerChildSibling/> </childNode> <animals> <cat flavor="MSK" /> <!-- cat was filtered --> </animals> <tree/> <water root="2.16.840.1.113883.3.51.1.1.6.1" flavor="MSK"/> <!-- filtered --> </root>

When calling Html.EditorFor(m => m), where m is a public class with public properties, a hidden input and a label are displayed for properties with the [HiddenInput] attribute. How can I hide the label without making it private or creating an editor template? • subsonic.migrations and Oracle XE

    - by andrecarlucci
Hello, Probably I'm doing something wrong but here it goes: I'm trying to create a database using subsonic.migrations in an OracleXE version 10.2.0.1.0. I have ODP v 10.2.0.2.20 installed. This is my app.config: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <configSections> <section name="SubSonicService" type="SubSonic.SubSonicSection, SubSonic" requirePermission="false"/> </configSections> <connectionStrings> <add name="test" connectionString="Data Source=XE; User Id=test; Password=test;"/> </connectionStrings> <SubSonicService defaultProvider="test"> <providers> <clear/> <add name="test" type="SubSonic.OracleDataProvider, SubSonic" connectionStringName="test" generatedNamespace="testdb"/> </providers> </SubSonicService> </configuration> And that's my first migration: public class Migration001_Init : Migration { public override void Up() { //Create the records table TableSchema.Table records = CreateTable("asdf"); records.AddColumn("RecordName"); } public override void Down() { DropTable("asdf"); } } When I run the sonic.exe, I get this exception: Setting ConfigPath: 'App.config' Building configuration from D:\Users\carlucci\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Wum\Wum.Migration\App.config Adding connection to test ERROR: Trying to execute migrate Error Message: System.Data.OracleClient.OracleException: ORA-02253: especifica‡Æo de restri‡Æo nÆo permitida aqui at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleConnection.CheckError(OciErrorHandle errorHandle, Int32 rc) at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand.Execute(OciStatementHandle statementHandle, CommandBehavior behavior, Boolean needRowid, OciRowidDescriptor& rowidDescriptor, ArrayList& resultParameterOrdinals) at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand.ExecuteNonQueryInternal(Boolean needRowid, OciRowidDescriptor& rowidDescriptor) at System.Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at SubSonic.OracleDataProvider.ExecuteQuery(QueryCommand qry) in D:\@SubSonic\SubSonic\SubSonic\DataProviders\OracleDataProvider.cs:line 350 at SubSonic.DataService.ExecuteQuery(QueryCommand cmd) in D:\@SubSonic\SubSonic\SubSonic\DataProviders\DataService.cs:line 544 at SubSonic.Migrations.Migrator.CreateSchemaInfo(String providerName) in D:\@SubSonic\SubSonic\SubSonic.Migrations\Migrator.cs:line 249 at SubSonic.Migrations.Migrator.GetCurrentVersion(String providerName) in D:\@SubSonic\SubSonic\SubSonic.Migrations\Migrator.cs:line 232 at SubSonic.Migrations.Migrator.Migrate(String providerName, String migrationDirectory, Nullable`1 toVersion) in D:\@SubSonic\SubSonic\SubSonic.Migrations\Migrator.cs:line 50 at SubSonic.SubCommander.Program.Migrate() in D:\@SubSonic\SubSonic\SubCommander\Program.cs:line 264 at SubSonic.SubCommander.Program.Main(String[] args) in D:\@SubSonic\SubSonic\SubCommander\Program.cs:line 90 Execution Time: 379ms What am I doing wrong? Thanks a lot for any help :) Andre Carlucci UPDATE: As pointed by Anton, the problem is the subsonic OracleSqlGenerator. It is trying to create the schema table using this sql: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version DEFAULT (0) ) Which doesn't work on oracle. The correct sql would be: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int DEFAULT (0), constraint DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version primary key (version) ) The funny thing is that since this is the very first sql executed by subsonic migrations, NOBODY EVER TESTED it on oracle.

  • CGContextDrawPDFPage doesn't seem to persist in CGContext

    - by erichf
I am trying to access the pixels of a CGContext written to with a PDF, but the bitmap buffer doesn't seem to update. Any help would be appreciated: //Get the reference to our current page pageRef = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(docRef, iCurrentPage); //Start with a media crop, but see if we can shrink to smaller crop CGRect pdfRect1 = CGRectIntegral(CGPDFPageGetBoxRect(pageRef, kCGPDFMediaBox)); CGRect r1 = CGRectIntegral(CGPDFPageGetBoxRect(pageRef, kCGPDFCropBox)); if (!CGRectIsEmpty(r1)) pdfRect1 = r1; int wide = pdfRect1.size.width + pdfRect1.origin.x; int high = pdfRect1.size.height + pdfRect1.origin.y; CGContextRef ctxBuffer = NULL; CGColorSpaceRef colorSpace; UInt8* bitmapData; int bitmapByteCount; int bitmapBytesPerRow; bitmapBytesPerRow = (wide * 4); bitmapByteCount = (bitmapBytesPerRow * high); colorSpace = CGColorSpaceCreateDeviceRGB(); bitmapData = malloc( bitmapByteCount ); if (bitmapData == NULL) { DebugLog (@"Memory not allocated!"); return; } ctxBuffer = CGBitmapContextCreate (bitmapData, wide, high, 8, // bits per component bitmapBytesPerRow, colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaPremultipliedLast | kCGBitmapByteOrder32Big); // if (ctxBuffer== NULL) { free (bitmapData); DebugLog (@"Context not created!"); return; } CGColorSpaceRelease( colorSpace ); //White out the current context CGContextSetRGBFillColor(ctxBuffer, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0, 1.0); CGContextFillRect(ctxBuffer, CGContextGetClipBoundingBox(ctxBuffer)); CGContextDrawPDFPage(ctxBuffer, pageRef); //!!!This displays just fine to the context passed in from - (void)drawLayer:(CALayer *)layer inContext:(CGContextRef)ctx. That is, I can see the PDf page rendered, so we know ctxBuffer was created correctly //However, if I view bitmapData in memory, it only shows as 0xFF (or whatever fill color I use) CGImageRef img = CGBitmapContextCreateImage(ctxBuffer); CGContextDrawImage(ctx, tiledLayer.frame, img); void *data = CGBitmapContextGetData (ctx); for (int i = 0; i < wide; i++) { for (int j = 0; j < high; j++) { //All of the bytes show as 0xFF (or whatever fill color I test with)?! int byteIndex = (j * 4) + i * 4; UInt8 red = bitmapData[byteIndex]; UInt8 green = bitmapData[byteIndex + 1]; UInt8 blue = bitmapData[byteIndex + 2]; UInt8 alpha = m_PixelBuf[byteIndex + 3]; } } I have also tried using CGDataProviderCopyData(CGImageGetDataProvider(img)) & CFDataGetBytePtr, but the results are the same?

  • Returning IQueryable or Enumerated Object

    - by Tarik
Hello everyone, I was wondering about the performance difference between these two scenarios and what could the disadvantages be over each other? First scenario : public class Helper //returns IQueryable { public IQueryable<Customer> CurrentCustomer { get{return new DataContext().Where(t=>t.CustomerId == 1); } } public class SomeClass { public void Main() { Console.WriteLine(new Helper().CurrentCustomer.First().Name; } } The second scenario : public class Helper //returns Enumerated result { public Customer CurrentCustomer { get{return new DataContext().First(t=>t.CustomerId == 1); } } public class SomeClass { public void Main() { Console.WriteLine(new Helper().CurrentCustomer.Name; } } Thanks in advance.

  • availability of Win32_MountPoint and Win32_Volume on Windows XP?

    - by SteveC
    From the MSDN articles I've found -- http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa394515(v=VS.85).aspx -- Win32_Volume and Win32_MountPoint aren't available on Windows XP. However, I'm developing a C# app on Windows XP (64bit), and I can get to those WMI classes just fine. Users of my app will be on Windows XP sp2 with .Net 3.5 sp1. Googling around, I can't determine whether I can count on this or not. Am I successful on my system because of one or more of the following: - windows xp service pack 2? - visual studio 2008 sp1 was installed? - .Net 3.5 sp1? Should I use something other than WMI to get at the volume/mountpoint info? Below is sample code that's working... public static Dictionary<string, NameValueCollection> GetAllVolumeDeviceIDs() { Dictionary<string, NameValueCollection> ret = new Dictionary<string, NameValueCollection>(); // retrieve information from Win32_Volume try { using (ManagementClass volClass = new ManagementClass("Win32_Volume")) { using (ManagementObjectCollection mocVols = volClass.GetInstances()) { // iterate over every volume foreach (ManagementObject moVol in mocVols) { // get the volume's device ID (will be key into our dictionary) string devId = moVol.GetPropertyValue("DeviceID").ToString(); ret.Add(devId, new NameValueCollection()); //Console.WriteLine("Vol: {0}", devId); // for each non-null property on the Volume, add it to our NameValueCollection foreach (PropertyData p in moVol.Properties) { if (p.Value == null) continue; ret[devId].Add(p.Name, p.Value.ToString()); //Console.WriteLine("\t{0}: {1}", p.Name, p.Value); } // find the mountpoints of this volume using (ManagementObjectCollection mocMPs = moVol.GetRelationships("Win32_MountPoint")) { foreach (ManagementObject moMP in mocMPs) { // only care about adding directory // Directory prop will be something like "Win32_Directory.Name=\"C:\\\\\"" string dir = moMP["Directory"].ToString(); // find opening/closing quotes in order to get the substring we want int first = dir.IndexOf('"') + 1; int last = dir.LastIndexOf('"'); string dirSubstr = dir.Substring(first , last - first); // use GetFullPath to normalize/unescape any extra backslashes string fullpath = Path.GetFullPath(dirSubstr); ret[devId].Add(MOUNTPOINT_DIRS_KEY, fullpath); } } } } } } catch (Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine("Problem retrieving Volume information from WMI. {0} - \n{1}",ex.Message,ex.StackTrace); return ret; } return ret; }

  • Blog - BlogPost - BlogPostComment vs Blog - Post - Comment

    - by Anton Gogolev
Don't really know how to formulate the title, but it should be pretty obvious from the example. More specifically, what rules do you use for naming "dependent" classes. For example, Blog is a pretty descriptive name itself, but how do I deal with posts? BlogPost or Post? Clearly, first name clearly expresses that it's a "subordinate" class, but this can quickly get out of hand with BlogPostComment, BlogPostCommentAttachment, etc. Post, on the other hand, looks like an entity completely unrelated to Blog and is easier on the eye. What are your rules/best practices?

  • how to handle exceptions in ejb 3 based soap webservice

    - by Alexandre GUIDET
Hi, I am currently developing an EJB3 based SOAP webservice and I wonder what are the best practices to handles uncatched exceptions and return a well formated SOAP response to the client. example: @WebMethod public SomeResponse processSomeService( @WebParam(name = "someParameters") SomeParameters someParameters) { // the EJB do something with the parameters // and retrieve a response fot the client SomeResponse theResponse = this.doSomething(someParameters); return theResponse; } Do I have to catch generic exception like: @WebMethod public SomeResponse processSomeService( @WebParam(name = "someParameters") SomeParameters someParameters) { // the EJB do something with the parameters // and retrieve a response to return to the client try { SomeResponse theResponse = this.doSomething(someParameters); } catch (Exception ex) { // log the exception logger.log(Level.SEVERE, "something is going wrong {0}", ex.getMessage()); // get a generic error response not to let the // technical reason going to the client SomeResponse theResponse = SomeResponse.createError(); } return theResponse; } Is there some kind of "best practice" in order to achieve this ? Thank you

[NOTE: I'm using ASP.NET MVC2 RC2.] I have URLs like this: /customer/123/order/456/item/index /customer/123/order/456/item/789/edit My routing table lists the most-specific routes first, so I've got: // customer/123/order/456/item/789/edit routes.MapRoute( "item", // Route name "customer/{customerId}/order/{orderId}/item/{itemId}/{action}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Items", action = "Details" }, // Parameter defaults new { customerId = @"\d+", orderId = @"\d+", itemId = @"\d+" } // Constraints ); // customer/123/order/456/item/index routes.MapRoute( "items", // Route name "customer/{customerId}/order/{orderId}/item/{action}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Items", action = "Index" }, // Parameter defaults new { customerId = @"\d+", orderId = @"\d+" } // Constraints ); When I'm in the "Edit" page, I want a link back up to the "Index" page. So, I use: ActionLink("Back to Index", "index") However, because there's an ambient order ID, this results in the URL: /Customer/123/Order/456/Item/789/Index ...whereas I want it to "forget" the order ID and just use: /Customer/123/Order/456/Item/Index I've tried overriding the order ID like so: ActionLink("Back to Index", "index", new { orderId=string.empty }) ...but that doesn't work. How can I persuade ActionLink to "forget" the order ID?

  • Some problems with GridView in webpart with multiple filters.

    - by NF_81
Hello, I'm currently working on a highly configurable Database Viewer webpart for WSS 3.0 which we are going to need for several customized sharepoint sites. Sorry in advance for the large wall of text, but i fear it's necessary to recap the whole issue. As background information and to describe my problem as good as possible, I'll start by telling you what the webpart shall do: Basically the webpart contains an UpdatePanel, which contains a GridView and an SqlDataSource. The select-query the Datasource uses can be set via webbrowseable properties or received from a consumer method from another webpart. Now i wanted to add a filtering feature to the webpart, so i want a dropdownlist in the headerrow for each column that should be filterable. As the select-query is completely dynamic and i don't know at design time which columns shall be filterable, i decided to add a webbrowseable property to contain an xml-formed string with filter information. So i added the following into OnRowCreated of the gridview: void gridView_RowCreated(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e) { if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.Header) { for (int i = 0; i < e.Row.Cells.Count; i++) { if (e.Row.Cells[i].GetType() == typeof(DataControlFieldHeaderCell)) { string headerText = ((DataControlFieldHeaderCell)e.Row.Cells[i]).ContainingField.HeaderText; // add sorting functionality if (_allowSorting && !String.IsNullOrEmpty(headerText)) { Label l = new Label(); l.Text = headerText; l.ForeColor = Color.Blue; l.Font.Bold = true; l.ID = "Header" + i; l.Attributes["title"] = "Sort by " + headerText; l.Attributes["onmouseover"] = "this.style.cursor = 'pointer'; this.style.color = 'red'"; l.Attributes["onmouseout"] = "this.style.color = 'blue'"; l.Attributes["onclick"] = "__doPostBack('" + panel.UniqueID + "','SortBy$" + headerText + "');"; e.Row.Cells[i].Controls.Add(l); } // check if this column shall be filterable if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(filterXmlData)) { XmlNode columnNode = GetColumnNode(headerText); if (columnNode != null) { string dataValueField = columnNode.Attributes["DataValueField"] == null ? "" : columnNode.Attributes["DataValueField"].Value; string filterQuery = columnNode.Attributes["FilterQuery"] == null ? "" : columnNode.Attributes["FilterQuery"].Value; if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(dataValueField) && !String.IsNullOrEmpty(filterQuery)) { SqlDataSource ds = new SqlDataSource(_conStr, filterQuery); DropDownList cbx = new DropDownList(); cbx.ID = "FilterCbx" + i; cbx.Attributes["onchange"] = "__doPostBack('" + panel.UniqueID + "','SelectionChange$" + headerText + "$' + this.options[this.selectedIndex].value);"; cbx.Width = 150; cbx.DataValueField = dataValueField; cbx.DataSource = ds; cbx.DataBound += new EventHandler(cbx_DataBound); cbx.PreRender += new EventHandler(cbx_PreRender); cbx.DataBind(); e.Row.Cells[i].Controls.Add(cbx); } } } } } } } GetColumnNode() checks in the filter property, if there is a node for the current column, which contains information about the Field the DropDownList should bind to, and the query for filling in the items. In cbx_PreRender() i check ViewState and select an item in case of a postback. In cbx_DataBound() i just add tooltips to the list items as the dropdownlist has a fixed width. Previously, I used AutoPostback and SelectedIndexChanged of the DDL to filter the grid, but to my disappointment it was not always fired. Now i check __EVENTTARGET and __EVENTARGUMENT in OnLoad and call a function when the postback event was due to a selection change in a DDL: private void FilterSelectionChanged(string columnName, string selectedValue) { columnName = "[" + columnName + "]"; if (selectedValue.IndexOf("--") < 0 ) // "-- All --" selected { if (filter.ContainsKey(columnName)) filter[columnName] = "='" + selectedValue + "'"; else filter.Add(columnName, "='" + selectedValue + "'"); } else { filter.Remove(columnName); } gridView.PageIndex = 0; } "filter" is a HashTable which is stored in ViewState for persisting the filters (got this sample somewhere on the web, don't remember where). In OnPreRender of the webpart, i call a function which reads the ViewState and apply the filterExpression to the datasource if there is one. I assume i had to place it here, because if there is another postback (e.g. for sorting) the filters are not applied any more. private void ApplyGridFilter() { string args = " "; int i = 0; foreach (object key in filter.Keys) { if (i == 0) args = key.ToString() + filter[key].ToString(); else args += " AND " + key.ToString() + filter[key].ToString(); i++; } dataSource.FilterExpression = args; ViewState.Add("FilterArgs", filter); } protected override void OnPreRender(EventArgs e) { EnsureChildControls(); if (WebPartManager.DisplayMode.Name == "Edit") { errMsg = "Webpart in Edit mode..."; return; } if (useWebPartConnection == true) // get select-query from consumer webpart { if (provider != null) { dataSource.SelectCommand = provider.strQuery; } } try { int currentPageIndex = gridView.PageIndex; if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(m_SortExpression)) { gridView.Sort("[" + m_SortExpression + "]", m_SortDirection); } gridView.PageIndex = currentPageIndex; // for some reason, the current pageindex resets after sorting ApplyGridFilter(); gridView.DataBind(); } catch (Exception ex) { Functions.ShowJavaScriptAlert(Page, ex.Message); } base.OnPreRender(e); } So i set the filterExpression and the call DataBind(). I don't know if this is ok on this late stage.. don't have a lot of asp.net experience after all. If anyone can suggest a better solution, please give me a hint. This all works great so far, except when i have two or more filters and set them to a combination that returns zero records. Bam ... gridview gone, completely - without a possiblity of changing the filters back. So i googled and found out that i have to subclass gridview in order to always show the headerrow. I found this solution and implemented it with some modifications. The headerrow get's displayed and i can change the filters even if the returned result contains no rows. But finally to my current problem: When i have two or more filters set which return zero rows, and i change back one filter to something that should return rows, the gridview remains empty (although the pager is rendered). I have to completly refresh the page to reset the filters. When debugging, i can see in the overridden CreateChildControls of the grid, that the base method indeed returns 0, but anyway... the gridView.RowCount remains 0 after databinding. Anyone have an idea what's going wrong here?

  • How to stop Spring MVC blocking all other Servlets?

    - by Dag
Hi, I'm using Spring 2.5 MVC and wan't to add another third-party Servlet. The Problem is, that Spring MVC catches all request, so the Servlet isn't getting any request. Here a web.xml Snippet: SpringMVC org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet 2 <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>SpringMVC</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> <servlet> This is the servlet needed for cache.type servlet, returns the packed resources PackServlet PackServlet net.sf.packtag.servlet.PackServlet PackServlet *.pack The /* mapping is really needed for the application, an pack:tag (the third-party Servlet) really need the mapping based on the file extension. Any possiblities to tell Spring not to process the request? Thanks and regards.

  • Dynamic Data Associate Related Table Value?

    - by davemackey
I have create a LINQ-to-SQL project in Visual Studio 2010 using Dynamic Data. In this project I have two tables. One is called phones_extension and the other phones_ten. The list of columns in phones_extension looks like this: id, extension, prefix, did_flag, len, ten_id, restriction_class_id, sfc_id, name_display, building_id, floor, room, phone_id, department_id In phones_ten it looks like this: id, name, pbxid Now, I'd like to be able to somehow make it so that there is an association (or inheritance?) that essentially results in me being able to make a query like phones_extension.ten and it gives me the result of phones_ten.name. Right now I have to get phones_extension.ten_id and then match that against phones_ten.id - I'm trying to get the DBML to handle this translation automatically. Is this possible?

  • Cannot get NLogViewer to receive msgs from local machine

    - by slolife
I cannot get NLogViewer to receive msgs from local machine. My machine is Windows 7. I am able to get a remote machine to send NLog messages to my local box and NLogViewer on my local box shows the message fine. But, if I run an app locally, and config NLog to spit messages to my local box, NLogViewer doesn't get the messages. Here's my config: <targets> <target name="viewer" xsi:type="NLogViewer" address="udp://localhost:4050"/> </targets> <rules> <logger name="*" minlevel="Info" writeTo="viewer" /> <rules> Is it Windows 7 security? I have config'd Windows Firewall to allow UDP port 4050 inbound and outbound. My apps are an ASP.NET site and a few windows services.

PyQt application works fine, but when I close it Python shows this message: "Object::connect: No such signal QObject::dataChanged(QModelIndex,QModelIndex)" What is the cause of this? • Classic ASP METADATA Tags Not Working - MDAC 2.8/WDAC 6.0 on a Windows 2008 Box Running IIS 7

    - by ajdams
What I am trying to do is simple. I have some Classic ASP with include headers like the following referencing MDAC 2.5: METADATA TYPE="TypeLib" NAME="Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.5 Library" UUID="{00000205-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4}" VERSION="2.5" Now I am trying to call this same include file on a Windows 2008 box with IIS 7 using MDAC 2.8 with this: METADATA TYPE="typelib" NAME="Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.8 Library" UUID="{2A75196C-D9EB-4129-B803-931327F72D5C}" VERSION="2.8" My question is, why does this not work anymore? Has the tag reference changed? I ran MDAC checker and everything is installed correctly. What am I missing? I am running on a Windows 2008 box with IIS 7. Thanks in advance!

  • django-admin: creating,saving and relating a m2m model

    - by pastylegs
I have two models: class Production(models.Model): gallery = models.ManyToManyField(Gallery) class Gallery(models.Model): name = models.CharField() I have the m2m relationship in my productions admin, but I want that functionality that when I create a new Production, a default gallery is created and the relationship is registered between the two. So far I can create the default gallery by overwriting the productions save: def save(self, force_insert=False, force_update=False): if not ( Gallery.objects.filter(name__exact="foo").exists() ): g = Gallery(name="foo") g.save() self.gallery.add(g) This creates and saves the model instance (if it doesn't already exist), but I don't know how to register the relationship between the two?
