  • ASP.NET MVC Route Default values

    - by Sadegh
hi, i defined two routes in global.asax like below context.MapRoute("HomeRedirect", "", new { controller = "Home", action = "redirect" }); context.MapRoute("UrlResolver", "{culture}/some", new { culture = "en-gb", controller = "someController", action = "someAction" }, new { culture = new CultureRouteConstraint() }); according to above definition, when user request mysite.com/ redirect action of HomeController should be called and in that: public class HomeController : Controller { public ActionResult Redirect() { return RedirectToRoute("UrlResolver"); } } i want to redirect user to second defined route on above, so also i specified default values for that and some Constraint for each of those. but when RedirectToRoute("UrlResolver") turns, no default values passed to routeConstraints on second route and No route in the route table matches the supplied values shows. update my CultureRouteConstraint: public class CultureRouteConstraint : IRouteConstraint { bool IRouteConstraint.Match(HttpContextBase httpContext, Route route, string parameterName, RouteValueDictionary values, RouteDirection routeDirection) { try { var parameter = values[parameterName] as string; return (someCondition(parameter)); } catch { return false; } } } now values parameter haven't culture key/value, but route parameter have that.

  • Basic Boost Regex question

    - by shuttle87
I'm trying to write some c++ code that tests if a string is in a particular format. In this program there is a height followed by some decimal numbers: for example "height 123.45" or "height 12" would return true but "SomeOtherString 123.45" would return false. My first attempt at this was to write the following: string action; cin >> action; boost::regex EXPR( "^height \\d*(\\.\\d{1,2})?$/" ) ;//height format regex bool height_format_matches = boost::regex_match( action, EXPR ) ; if(height_format_matches==true){ \\do some stuff } However height_format_matches never seemed to be true. Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Importing .dll into Qt

    - by Bad Man
I want to bring a .dll dependency into my Qt project. So I added this to my .pro file: win32 { LIBS += C:\lib\dependency.lib LIBS += C:\lib\dependency.dll } And then (I don't know if this is the right syntax or not) #include <windows.h> Q_DECL_IMPORT int WINAPI DoSomething(); btw the .dll looks something like this: #include <windows.h> BOOL APIENTRY DllMain(HANDLE hModule, DWORD ul_reason_for_call, LPVOID lpReserved) { return TRUE; } extern "C" { int WINAPI DoSomething() { return -1; } }; Getting error: unresolved symbol? Note: I'm not experienced with .dll's outside of .NET's ez pz assembly architechture, definitely a n00b.

  • Silverlight 4 - authentiation / authorization against custom wcf service

    - by Calanus
I have a wcf service in front of an AzMan store that passes roles and operations to clients using the following interface: [OperationContract] bool AuthenticateUser(string password, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetRoles(string storelocation, string appName); [OperationContract] string[] GetOperations(string storeLocation, string appName, string selectedRole); Clients connect to this service using windows authentication (but users must send their password through to reaffirm their identity). Ultimately the service delivers an array of operations that each client can perform based on their selected role. I've opened a new Silverlight Business Application and tried to understand how authentication/authorization works in this template, as well as scoured the web to find examples to how to hook my webservice to the login box already created in the template, but I am completely at a loss as how to do this! Can anyone offer any advice?

  • SWIG: Python list to uint32_t *?

    - by Lee Crabtree
I'm trying to work with a Python module that was generated by SWIG. There's a C++ class defined that works like this (simplified): namespace Foo { class Thing { public: Thing(); ~Thing(); bool DoSomething(uint32_t x, uint32_t y, uint32_t z, uint32_t *buffer); }; }; When I try to call it from Python, I get an error about the last argument needing to be of type 'uint32_t*'. Normal Python integers work just fine for the other arguments, so I can't understand why a list of ints wouldn't work for the buffer. Any suggestions?

  • UIScrollView won't autorotate

    - by clozach
My app design requires the same scrolling functionality found in the iPhone's native Photos app when browsing photos in full screen. Specifically: Each view snaps into place as the view is swiped Scrolling happens in only one direction Rotating the iPhone rotates the entire scrolling region as well such that the frame of each subview (photos, in Apple's case) rotates in-place and paging is still in the same direction (left-to-right) I started to use Apple's sample PageControl code as a launching point, and everything was going swimmingly until I attempted adding autorotation to the code. My sense from the docs was that all I had to do to get autorotation working was to add this to the sample code's MyViewController.m - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return YES; } While that does seem to cause the subviews' backgrounds to rotate, the UILabels and the enclosing UIScrollView stay fixed so that, from a user perspective, paging through the views now requires up/down flicking instead of left/right.

  • setting jQuery .data() within .getJSON callback

    - by hackmaster.a
I'm doing a couple of .getJSON calls and if any one of them succeeds, I'm trying to set a bool to true so I can then do some other stuff elsewhere on the page. I was trying to use jquery's .data() function, but I don't seem able to set it from inside the .getJSON callback. for example: $('#citations_button').data('citations', false); $.getJSON(apaurl, function(data) { $('#apacite').html("<td class=\"bibInfoLabel\">APA Citation</td><td class=\"bibInfoData\">"+data+"</td>"); $('#citations_button').data('citations', true); }, "html"); // other .getJSONs look like above... console.log("citations? "+$('#citations_button').data('citations')); prints false, even when I know the data came through. I thought this would work since .data() uses the cache to store the key/value pair. how can i flag successes?? appreciate any assistance!!

  • Crash when trying to get NSManagedObject from NSFetchedResultsController after 25 objects?

    - by Jeremy
Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to Core Data on iOS, but I think I've been getting better with it. I've been experiencing a bizarre crash, however, in one of my applications and have not been able to figure it out. I have approximately 40 objects in Core Data, presented in a UITableView. When tapping on a cell, a UIActionSheet appears, presenting the user with a UIActionSheet with options related to the cell that was selected. So that I can reference the selected object, I declare an NSIndexPath in my header called "lastSelection" and do the following when the UIActionSheet is presented: // Each cell has a tag based on its row number (i.e. first row has tag 0) lastSelection = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:[sender tag] inSection:0]; NSManagedObject *managedObject = [self.fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:lastSelection]; BOOL onDuty = [[managedObject valueForKey:@"onDuty"] boolValue]; UIActionSheet *actionSheet = [[UIActionSheet alloc] initWithTitle:@"Status" delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:nil destructiveButtonTitle:nil otherButtonTitles:nil]; if(onDuty) { [actionSheet addButtonWithTitle:@"Off Duty"]; } else { [actionSheet addButtonWithTitle:@"On Duty"]; } actionSheet.actionSheetStyle = UIActionSheetStyleBlackOpaque; // Override the typical UIActionSheet behavior by presenting it overlapping the sender's frame. This makes it more clear which cell is selected. CGRect senderFrame = [sender frame]; CGPoint point = CGPointMake(senderFrame.origin.x + (senderFrame.size.width / 2), senderFrame.origin.y + (senderFrame.size.height / 2)); CGRect popoverRect = CGRectMake(point.x, point.y, 1, 1); [actionSheet showFromRect:popoverRect inView:[sender superview] animated:NO]; [actionSheet release]; When the UIActionSheet is dismissed with a button, the following code is called: - (void)actionSheet:(UIActionSheet *)actionSheet willDismissWithButtonIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex { // Set status based on UIActionSheet button pressed if(buttonIndex == -1) { return; } NSManagedObject *managedObject = [self.fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:lastSelection]; if([actionSheet.title isEqualToString:@"Status"]) { if([[actionSheet buttonTitleAtIndex:buttonIndex] isEqualToString:@"On Duty"]) { [managedObject setValue:[NSNumber numberWithBool:YES] forKey:@"onDuty"]; [managedObject setValue:@"onDuty" forKey:@"status"]; } else { [managedObject setValue:[NSNumber numberWithBool:NO] forKey:@"onDuty"]; [managedObject setValue:@"offDuty" forKey:@"status"]; } } NSError *error; [self.managedObjectContext save:&error]; [tableView reloadData]; } This might not be the most efficient code (sorry, I'm new!), but it does work. That is, for the first 25 items in the list. Selecting the 26th item or beyond, the UIActionSheet will appear, but if it is dismissed with a button, I get a variety of errors, including any one of the following: [__NSCFArray section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c6bf90 Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS” [_NSObjectID_48_0 section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c54710 [__NSArrayM section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c619a0 [NSComparisonPredicate section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x6088790 [NSKeyPathExpression section]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x4c18950 If I comment out NSManagedObject *managedObject = [self.fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:lastSelection]; it doesn't crash anymore, so I believe it has something do do with that. Can anyone offer any insight? Please let me know if I need to include any other information. Thanks! EDIT: Interestingly, my fetchedResultsController code returns a different object every time. Is this expected, or could this be a cause of my issue? The code looks like this: - (NSFetchedResultsController *)fetchedResultsController { /* Set up the fetched results controller. */ // Create the fetch request for the entity. NSFetchRequest *fetchRequest = [[NSFetchRequest alloc] init]; // Edit the entity name as appropriate. NSEntityDescription *entity = [NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Employee" inManagedObjectContext:self.managedObjectContext]; [fetchRequest setEntity:entity]; // Set the batch size to a suitable number. [fetchRequest setFetchBatchSize:80]; // Edit the sort key as appropriate. NSString *sortKey; BOOL ascending; if(sortControl.selectedSegmentIndex == 0) { sortKey = @"startTime"; ascending = YES; } else if(sortControl.selectedSegmentIndex == 1) { sortKey = @"name"; ascending = YES; } else { sortKey = @"onDuty"; ascending = NO; } NSSortDescriptor *sortDescriptor = [[NSSortDescriptor alloc] initWithKey:sortKey ascending:ascending]; NSArray *sortDescriptors = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:sortDescriptor, nil]; [fetchRequest setSortDescriptors:sortDescriptors]; // Edit the section name key path and cache name if appropriate. NSFetchedResultsController *aFetchedResultsController = [[NSFetchedResultsController alloc] initWithFetchRequest:fetchRequest managedObjectContext:self.managedObjectContext sectionNameKeyPath:nil cacheName:@"Root"]; aFetchedResultsController.delegate = self; self.fetchedResultsController = aFetchedResultsController; [aFetchedResultsController release]; [fetchRequest release]; [sortDescriptor release]; [sortDescriptors release]; NSError *error = nil; if (![fetchedResultsController_ performFetch:&error]) { /* Replace this implementation with code to handle the error appropriately. abort() causes the application to generate a crash log and terminate. You should not use this function in a shipping application, although it may be useful during development. If it is not possible to recover from the error, display an alert panel that instructs the user to quit the application by pressing the Home button. */ //NSLog(@"Unresolved error %@, %@", error, [error userInfo]); abort(); } return fetchedResultsController_; } This happens when I set a breakpoint: (gdb) po [self fetchedResultsController] <NSFetchedResultsController: 0x61567c0> (gdb) po [self fetchedResultsController] <NSFetchedResultsController: 0x4c83630>

  • Android: Changing LinearLayout in a widget.

    - by Profete162
Hello all, I have this really annoying problem: In my widget, i would like to change the background by code. I noticed on the Google doc than I can easily change the background of an Imageview: remoteViews.setImageViewResource(R.id.my_iv, R.drawable.my_bg); Ok, too easy, i want to change now the Linear layout.. What I read about the remoteview id that I can change a Bitmap, Int, Bool, String, etc... but not a drawable. So i guess i cannot use: remoteViews.setBitmap(R.id.my_ll,"setBackgroundDrawable",BitmapFactory.decodeResource(context.getResources(), R.drawablemy_bg)); I am totally disapointed and tried a last idea: views.setInt(R.id.my_ll,"setBackgroundResource",R.drawable.my_bg); But The logcat told me: android.widget.RemoteViews$ActionException:view: android.widget.LinearLayout can't use method with RemoteViews: setBackgroundResource(int) I am totally lost and I really don't know what to do... I would really appreciate any help. Thank a lot!

  • Calling IPrincipal.IsInRole on Windows 7

    - by adrianbanks
We use NTLM auth in our application to determine whether a user can perform certain operations. We use the IPrincipal of their current Windows login (in WinForms applications), calling IsInRole to check for specific group memberships. To check that a user is a local administrator on the machine, we use: AppDomain.CurrentDomain.SetPrincipalPolicy(PrincipalPolicy.WindowsPrincipal); ... bool allowed = Thread.CurrentPrincipal.IsInRole(@"Builtin\Administrators") This works if the current user is the Administrator user, or is another user that is a member of the Builtin\Administrators group. In our testing on Windows 7, we have found that this no longer works as expected. The Administrator user still works fine, but any other user that is a member of the Builtin\Administrators group returns false for the IsInRole call. What could be causing this difference? I have a gut feeling that a default setting has changed somewhere (possible in gpedit), but cannot find anything that looks like the culprit.

  • NSURL Out of Scope

    - by ct2k7
Hi, I've an issue with this piece of code: NSURL *url = [[NSURL alloc] initWithString:@"http://authenticate.radonsystems.net/products.xml"]; NSXMLParser *xmlParser = [[NSXMLParser alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:url]; //Initialize the delegate. XMLParser *parser = [[XMLParser alloc] initXMLParser]; //Set delegate [xmlParser setDelegate:parser]; //Start parsing the XML file. BOOL success = [xmlParser parse]; if(success) NSLog(@"No Errors"); else NSLog(@"Error Error Error!!!"); } // this is the breakpoint! I've listed where the breakpoint is - (I've placed one on every line of code in the area) Now at this point, success = NO, and looking back through the code, I reach the first line. XCode tells me that the url variable is out of scope with code 0x15db010. What does this mean?

  • Are tile overlays possible with the iPhone's MapKit

    - by rickharrison
I already have a tile source set up for use with the Google Maps JavaScript API. I am trying to translate this for use with the iPhone MapKit. I have correctly implemented the javascript zooming levels into mapkit. Whenever - (void)mapView:(MKMapView *)mapView regionDidChangeAnimated:(BOOL)animated is called, I snap the region to the nearest zoom level based on the same center point. Is it possible to implement a solution possibly with CATiledLayer to implement a tiling solution. Does the iPhone use the standard 256x256 tiles like google maps does natively? Any direction or help on this would be greatly appreciated. I would rather not waste a couple weeks trying to implement this if it's not possible.

  • Limit number of charchters in uitextview !

    - by hib
Hello All , I am giving a text view to tweet some string . I am applying the following method to restrict the number of characters to 140 in length. - (BOOL)textView:(UITextView *)textView shouldChangeTextInRange:(NSRange)range replacementText:(NSString *)text{ if([text isEqualToString:@"\b"]){ DLog(@"Ohoooo"); return YES; }else if([[textView text] length] > 140){ return NO; } return YES; } The code is working nicely except the first condition that backspace is not working. suppose that I have reached the limit of 140 characters so that the method will give me false and the user can not insert more characters but after that when I try to delete some characters the text view behave as it is disabled . So the question how do delete characters from textview.text or re-enable the text view .

  • dllimport C++ DLL In VB.net

    - by JFLow
Hi Experts out there, I'm stuck at dll imports with the c++ dll and i really need help to get over this. Here is the function in the c++ dll that i want to call from my VB.net code. bool LoadNewTestPlan(const char* szPlanFileName=" "); I've tried many ways in my VB.net but always getting the error : "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." I have tried passing in byte(), Marshalling with LPStr, SafeArray and nothing works. Here is the example of my code code within the module <DllImport("HPVKIfc.dll", EntryPoint:="?LoadNewTestPlan@HPVKIfc@@QAE_NPBD@Z", CharSet:=CharSet.Ansi)> _ Public Function LoadNewTestPlan(<MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.LPStr)> ByVal pln As String) As Boolean End Function Do you see anything wrong? Thanks in advance.

  • Asking Box2d if a collision happened

    - by Rosarch
I'm using Box2dx (ported to C#; optimized for XNA). It handles collision resolution, but how can I tell if two objects are currently colliding? This is the function I'm trying to write: public bool IsColliding(GameObjectController collider1, GameObjectController collider2) Where collider1.Model.Body is the Box2d Body, and collider1.Model.BodyDef is the Box2d BodyDef. (The same goes for collider2, of course.) UPDATE: Looks like contact listeners or this could be useful: AABB collisionBox; model.Body.GetFixtureList().GetAABB(out collisionBox); Why does GetFixtureList() return one fixture?

  • Return Selected Phone Address from iPhone Address Book

    - by Ali
Hey, I found a tutorial online that extends that Apple QuickStart Application which is the basic Address Book Application and another that returns the first phone number regardless of what phone number was clicked. I want to display only the selected phone number in the label. The label is called phoneNumber: - (BOOL)peoplePickerNavigationController: (ABPeoplePickerNavigationController *)peoplePicker shouldContinueAfterSelectingPerson:(ABRecordRef)person property:(ABPropertyID)property identifier:(ABMultiValueIdentifier)identifier{ ABMutableMultiValueRef phoneMulti = ABRecordCopyValue(person, kABPersonPhoneProperty); NSMutableArray *phones = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; int i; for (i = 0; i < ABMultiValueGetCount(phoneMulti); i++) { NSString *aPhone = [(NSString*)ABMultiValueCopyValueAtIndex(phoneMulti, i)autorelease]; [phones addObject:aPhone]; } NSString *mobileNo = [phones objectAtIndex:0]; self.phoneNumber.text = phones; [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; return NO; } How do I ensure that the label is the one selected by the user and not just the first array entry(or any other array entry i code in) Thanks

  • Reference a GNU C (POSIX) DLL built in GCC against Cygwin, from C#/NET

    - by Dale Halliwell
Here is what I want: I have a huge legacy C/C++ codebase written for POSIX, including some very POSIX specific stuff like pthreads. This can be compiled on Cygwin/GCC and run as an executable under Windows with the Cygwin DLL. What I would like to do is build the codebase itself into a Windows DLL that I can then reference from C# and write a wrapper around it to access some parts of it programatically. I have tried this approach with the very simple "hello world" example at http://www.cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/dll.html and it doesn't seem to work. #include <stdio.h> extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) int hello(); int hello() { printf ("Hello World!\n"); return 42; } I believe I should be able to reference a DLL built with the above code in C# using something like: [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] public static extern IntPtr LoadLibrary(string dllToLoad); [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] public static extern IntPtr GetProcAddress(IntPtr hModule, string procedureName); [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] public static extern bool FreeLibrary(IntPtr hModule); [UnmanagedFunctionPointer(CallingConvention.Cdecl)] private delegate int hello(); static void Main(string[] args) { var path = Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "helloworld.dll"); IntPtr pDll = LoadLibrary(path); IntPtr pAddressOfFunctionToCall = GetProcAddress(pDll, "hello"); hello hello = (hello)Marshal.GetDelegateForFunctionPointer( pAddressOfFunctionToCall, typeof(hello)); int theResult = hello(); Console.WriteLine(theResult.ToString()); bool result = FreeLibrary(pDll); Console.ReadKey(); } But this approach doesn't seem to work. LoadLibrary returns null. It can find the DLL (helloworld.dll), it is just like it can't load it or find the exported function. I am sure that if I get this basic case working I can reference the rest of my codebase in this way. Any suggestions or pointers, or does anyone know if what I want is even possible? Thanks. Edit: Examined my DLL with Dependency Walker (great tool, thanks) and it seems to export the function correctly. Question: should I be referencing it as the function name Dependency Walker seems to find (_Z5hellov)? Edit2: Just to show you I have tried it, linking directly to the dll at relative or absolute path (i.e. not using LoadLibrary): [DllImport(@"C:\.....\helloworld.dll")] public static extern int hello(); static void Main(string[] args) { int theResult = hello(); Console.WriteLine(theResult.ToString()); Console.ReadKey(); } This fails with: "Unable to load DLL 'C:.....\helloworld.dll': Invalid access to memory location. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800703E6) *Edit 3: * Oleg has suggested running dumpbin.exe on my dll, this is the output: Dump of file helloworld.dll File Type: DLL Section contains the following exports for helloworld.dll 00000000 characteristics 4BD5037F time date stamp Mon Apr 26 15:07:43 2010 0.00 version 1 ordinal base 1 number of functions 1 number of names ordinal hint RVA name 1 0 000010F0 hello Summary 1000 .bss 1000 .data 1000 .debug_abbrev 1000 .debug_info 1000 .debug_line 1000 .debug_pubnames 1000 .edata 1000 .eh_frame 1000 .idata 1000 .reloc 1000 .text Edit 4 Thanks everyone for the help, I managed to get it working. Oleg's answer gave me the information I needed to find out what I was doing wrong. There are 2 ways to do this. One is to build with the gcc -mno-cygwin compiler flag, which builds the dll without the cygwin dll, basically as if you had built it in MingW. Building it this way got my hello world example working! However, MingW doesn't have all the libraries that cygwin has in the installer, so if your POSIX code has dependencies on these libraries (mine had heaps) you can't do this way. And if your POSIX code didn't have those dependencies, why not just build for Win32 from the beginning. So that's not much help unless you want to spend time setting up MingW properly. The other option is to build with the Cygwin DLL. The Cygwin DLL needs an initialization function init() to be called before it can be used. This is why my code wasn't working before. The code below loads and runs my hello world example. //[DllImport(@"hello.dll", EntryPoint = "#1",SetLastError = true)] //static extern int helloworld(); //don't do this! cygwin needs to be init first [DllImport("kernel32", CharSet = CharSet.Ansi, ExactSpelling = true, SetLastError = true)] static extern IntPtr GetProcAddress(IntPtr hModule, string procName); [DllImport("kernel32", SetLastError = true)] static extern IntPtr LoadLibrary(string lpFileName); public delegate int MyFunction(); static void Main(string[] args) { //load cygwin dll IntPtr pcygwin = LoadLibrary("cygwin1.dll"); IntPtr pcyginit = GetProcAddress(pcygwin, "cygwin_dll_init"); Action init = (Action)Marshal.GetDelegateForFunctionPointer(pcyginit, typeof(Action)); init(); IntPtr phello = LoadLibrary("hello.dll"); IntPtr pfn = GetProcAddress(phello, "helloworld"); MyFunction helloworld = (MyFunction)Marshal.GetDelegateForFunctionPointer(pfn, typeof(MyFunction)); Console.WriteLine(helloworld()); Console.ReadKey(); } Thanks to everyone that answered~~

  • C# WPF application is using too much memory while GC.GetTotalMemory() is low

    - by Dmitry
    I wrote little WPF application with 2 threads - main thread is GUI thread and another thread is worker. App has one WPF form with some controls. There is a button, allowing to select directory. After selecting directory, application scans for .jpg files in that directory and checks if their thumbnails are in hashtable. if they are, it does nothing. else it's adding their full filenames to queue for worker. Worker is taking filenames from this queue, loading JPEG images (using WPF's JpegBitmapDecoder and BitmapFrame), making thumbnails of them (using WPF's TransformedBitmap) and adding them to hashtable. Everything works fine, except memory consumption by this application when making thumbnails for big images (like 5000x5000 pixels). I've added textboxes on my form to show memory consumption (GC.GetTotalMemory() and Process.GetCurrentProcess().PrivateMemorySize64) and was very surprised, cuz GC.GetTotalMemory() stays close to 1-2 Mbytes, while private memory size constantly grows, especially when loading new image (~ +100Mb per image). Even after loading all images, making thumbnails of them and freeing original images, private memory size stays at ~700-800Mbytes. My VirtualBox is limited to 512Mb of physical memory and Windows in VirtualBox starts to swap alot to handle this huge memory consumption. I guess I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know how to investigate this problem, cuz according to GC, allocated memory size is very low. Attaching code of thumbnail loader class: class ThumbnailLoader { Hashtable thumbnails; Queue<string> taskqueue; EventWaitHandle wh; Thread[] workers; bool stop; object locker; int width, height, processed, added; public ThumbnailLoader() { int workercount,i; wh = new AutoResetEvent(false); thumbnails = new Hashtable(); taskqueue = new Queue<string>(); stop = false; locker = new object(); width = height = 64; processed = added = 0; workercount = Environment.ProcessorCount; workers=new Thread[workercount]; for (i = 0; i < workercount; i++) { workers[i] = new Thread(Worker); workers[i].IsBackground = true; workers[i].Priority = ThreadPriority.Highest; workers[i].Start(); } } public void SetThumbnailSize(int twidth, int theight) { width = twidth; height = theight; if (thumbnails.Count!=0) AddTask("#resethash"); } public void GetProgress(out int Added, out int Processed) { Added = added; Processed = processed; } private void AddTask(string filename) { lock(locker) { taskqueue.Enqueue(filename); wh.Set(); added++; } } private string NextTask() { lock(locker) { if (taskqueue.Count == 0) return null; else { processed++; return taskqueue.Dequeue(); } } } public static string FileNameToHash(string s) { return FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile(s, "MD5"); } public bool GetThumbnail(string filename,out BitmapFrame thumbnail) { string hash; hash = FileNameToHash(filename); if (thumbnails.ContainsKey(hash)) { thumbnail=(BitmapFrame)thumbnails[hash]; return true; } AddTask(filename); thumbnail = null; return false; } private BitmapFrame LoadThumbnail(string filename) { FileStream fs; JpegBitmapDecoder bd; BitmapFrame oldbf, bf; TransformedBitmap tb; double scale, dx, dy; fs = new FileStream(filename, FileMode.Open); bd = new JpegBitmapDecoder(fs, BitmapCreateOptions.None, BitmapCacheOption.OnLoad); oldbf = bd.Frames[0]; dx = (double)oldbf.Width / width; dy = (double)oldbf.Height / height; if (dx > dy) scale = 1 / dx; else scale = 1 / dy; tb = new TransformedBitmap(oldbf, new ScaleTransform(scale, scale)); bf = BitmapFrame.Create(tb); fs.Close(); oldbf = null; bd = null; GC.Collect(); return bf; } public void Dispose() { lock(locker) { stop = true; } AddTask(null); foreach (Thread worker in workers) { worker.Join(); } wh.Close(); } private void Worker() { string curtask,hash; while (!stop) { curtask = NextTask(); if (curtask == null) wh.WaitOne(); else { if (curtask == "#resethash") thumbnails.Clear(); else { hash = FileNameToHash(curtask); try { thumbnails[hash] = LoadThumbnail(curtask); } catch { thumbnails[hash] = null; } } } } } }

  • Cannot get Google Analytics API to register page views on iPhone

    - by Sebastien
I would like to gather usage statistics for my iPhone app using Google Analytics so I'm trying to configure it using the following tutorial: http://code.google.com/intl/fr-FR/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/mobileAppsTracking.html I think I did everything they indicate in the documentation, and I get no error on the iPhone side, but I don't see any visits in Google Analytics. - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions{ [self initGoogleAnalytics]; //... } -(void)initGoogleAnalytics{ [[GANTracker sharedTracker] startTrackerWithAccountID:[[NSBundle mainBundle] objectForInfoDictionaryKey:@"GoogleAnalyticsCode"] dispatchPeriod:-1 delegate:nil NSError *error; if(![[GANTracker sharedTracker] trackPageview:@"/home" withError:&error]){ NSLog(@"%@", [error localizedDescription], nil); } [[GANTracker sharedTracker] dispatch]; } Any idea why this is not working?

  • Is this good C# style?

    - by burnt1ce
Consider the following method signature: public static bool TryGetPolls(out List<Poll> polls, out string errorMessage) This method performs the following: accesses the database to generate a list of Poll objects. returns true if it was success and errorMessage will be an empty string returns false if it was not successful and errorMessage will contain an exception message. Is this good style? Update: Lets say i do use the following method signature: public static List<Poll> GetPolls() and in that method, it doesn't catch any exceptions (so i depend the caller to catch exceptions). How do i dispose and close all the objects that is in the scope of that method? As soon as an exception is thrown, the code that closes and disposes objects in the method is no longer reachable.

  • WebSharingAppDemo-CEProviderEndToEnd Queries peerProvider for NeedsScope before any files are batche

    - by Don
    I'm building an application based on the WebSharingAppDemo-CEProviderEndToEnd. When I deploy the server portion on a server, the code gives the error "The path is not valid. Check the directory for the database." during the call to NeedsScope() in the CeWebSyncService.cs file. Obviously the server can't access the client's sdf but what is supposed to happen to make this work? The app uses batching to send the data and the batches have to be marshalled across to the temp directory but this problem is occurring before any files have been batched over. There is nothing for the server to look at to determine whether the peerProivider needs scope. What am I missing? public bool NeedsScope() { Log("NeedsSchema: {0}", this.peerProvider.Connection.ConnectionString); SqlCeSyncScopeProvisioning prov = new SqlCeSyncScopeProvisioning(); return !prov.ScopeExists(this.peerProvider.ScopeName, (SqlCeConnection)this.peerProvider.Connection); }
