    Hi, I'm integrating Fullcalendar into my app. Consider a manager interface where he can select an employee and then view this employee's calendar. Now basically I'm using the following jquery code in my view: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#calendar").fullCalendar({ defaultView: 'agendaWeek', isRTL: true, axisFormat: 'HH:mm', editable: true, events: "/Scheduler/CalendarData" }); }); </script> Now I would like to have the controller function assigned to the events to retrieve the specific user selected by the manager: events: "/Scheduler/CalendarData/<current_user_name> Is there any way to retrieve the selected employee user name from the view (or rather pass it to the view from the controler) and then pass it onto the bound events function?   • Why is my CalendarExtender getting overlapped when rendered?

    I'm working on a .NET web application and I'm using a CalendarExtender control within it to have the user specify a date. For some reason, when I click the icon to display the calendar, the background seems to be transparent, shown below: I'm using the extender on other pages and do not run into this issue. I'm not sure if it is worth mentioning, but the calendar is nested within a panel that has a rounded corner extender attached to it, as well as the panel below it (where the "From" is overlapping). Within that panel, I do have a div layout setup to create two columns. EDIT: The other thing to note here is that the section that has the name and "placeholders" for nickname are all ASP.NET label controls, if that matters.

  • iPhone: How to detect if an EKEvent instance can be modified?

    While working with the EventKit on iPhone I noticed that some events can exist which cannot be modified. Examples I encountered so far are birthdays and events synced with CalDAV. When you view the event's details in the standard built-in calendar app on iPhone the "Edit" button in the top-right corner is not visible in these cases, where it would be visible when viewing "normal" events. I've searched everywhere, read all documentation there is but I simply can't find anything that tells me how to detect this behavior! I can only detect it afterwards: edit an event's title save it to the event store check the event's title, if it has not changed it is not editable! I am looking for a way that I can detect the non-editable behavior of an event beforehand. I know this is possible because I've seen other calendar apps implement this correctly.

I am creating the .vcs file dynamically when clicked on a hyperlink. The code of generating .VCS file is: string calendarFormat = GetVCSFormat(); Response.ContentType = "text/calendar"; Response.AppendHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=MyCalendar.vcs"); Response.Write(calendarFormat); Response.End(); It is working fine in all browsers except IE. It is giving me following error: Internet Explorer cannot download GenerateAppointment.aspx from server. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. Can anyone focus some light on it?

    I have a calendar on my website, generated in Perl using Template::Toolkit and Template::Plugin::Date. It highlights the current day. I achieve this by iterating through all the dates (as I print the calendar) and comparing against the current date. Something like this: [% IF cur_date == date.format(format = '%Y-%m-%d') %] ... [% END %] It all works well until someone in Australia looks at it. (They are in a different timezone to me and my server in the UK). What's the best way to get Template::Plugin::Date to use a different time zone? It accepts a 'locale' parameter, but AFAIK this is only used for formatting.

    So if my start date is : 04/22/2010 then my end date selection can be up to 04/22/2011 and after 04/22/2011 are dates all disabled.   • TFS and Project portal sync

    Just installed TFS 2008. Created a project with portal site. When I create a bug in TFS from Visual Studio I'd like to see that bug in the web portal. And the other way around. When I add a task in the web portal I'd like to see that in Visual Studio. It's as if the web portal is not connected to TFS. I'm using the MSF for Agile Software Development template. I just saw Team System Web Access. That's what I want in addition to the other pages Sharepoint portal provides. For example the Wiki page and calendar view. So one place to see all tasks lists and assign task and see other project related pages. Maybe be able to has the tasks due dates come up on the calendar. Many thanks

  • NSDateFormatter incorrect date on simulator, correct date on device

    Hi, Im building a calendar and to find out the first day of the month I do [formatter setDateFormat:@"e"]; int startDay = [[formatter stringFromDate:newDate] intValue]; On the device this works correctly and the 1st of the month is on the correct day. But on the simulator it is the day after. Although it doesn't overly matter about the simulator it is kind of driving me crazy thinking I've done something wrong. I tried to set the locale of the formatter but no difference, nor i think should it. Can anyone shed some light on this? On a side note is there a better way to build a calendar than this?

    Good day, I've got a simple CSS question. I'm trying to change a table into a CSS box, but aligning the table content is difficult to me right now. Below there's an example of what's inside of the css box i created. How can I align these three elements (calendar and icon to the left , a text link to the center, and the other date field to the right ?) correctly ? I've tried several things but the problem is getting it aligned properly. I want to change everything in this application that has been created with tables, to css.     Looking for a date and datetime picker that will integrate fairly seamlessly with Rails. I'm sure some people must be using something similar. I have tried the unobtrusive date picker plugin but it breaks with the latest release of Rails. calendar date select plugin uses prototype which I have removed from my app and don't want to add back. active calendar plugin - broken with latest Rails and hacked to fix but doesn't fill out the text fields when a model is loaded.   • Streaming webcam video in Flash using MP4 encoding

    One of the features of the Flash app I'm working on is to be able to stream a webcam to others. We're just using the built-in webcam support in Flash and sending it through FMS. We've had some people ask for higher quality video, but we're already using the highest quality setting we can in Flash (setting quality to 100%). My understanding is that in the newer flash players they added support for MPEG-4 encoding for the videos. I created a simple test Flex app to try and compare the video quality of the MP4 vs FLV encodings. However, I can't seem to get MP4 to work at all. According to the Flex documentation the only thing I need to do to use MP4 instead of FLV is prepend "mp4:" to the name of the stream when calling publish: Specify the stream name as a string with the prefix mp4: with or without the filename extension. The prefix indicates to the server that the file contains H.264-encoded video and AAC-encoded audio within the MPEG-4 Part 14 container format. When I try this nothing happens. I don't get any events raised on the client side, no exceptions thrown, and my logging on the server side doesn't show any streams starting. Click on a day and that days events list below the calendar. I'd like it to be dynamic (don't reload the whole page). Please point me in the right direction to learn how to do this.   • Share pre-initialized GIT repository

    We were sharing a GIT repository via file-sharing system (smb://) and got it badly corrupted (a power cut meanwhile the post-send :P). Being new to GIT, trying to fix it I made it even worse and I lost all the refs (left with the object folder). Since the incident I haven't had the time to look at the problem and have just been keeping committing to my local clone. So my question is : Is there a way to copy the local repository back to the location of the old repository and make it a shared repository in order to keep some track of previous the history ? That's all I could figure out (I'm still a git-noob), any other solutions are more than welcome ! Thanks in advance !

  • Generating Component SEF URLs in Joomla

    I have a custom Joomla component and a router for building my SEF URL's for use within the site, and everything is usually shiny - internally, all of my links look and act fantastic. I recently route a controller action that sends a list of links through email, and I've noticed that my URLs are coming out.... funky - hopefully someone can tell me why. Usually, my router generates an internal link that looks like this: http://localhost/Registry/calendar/265889635/Some-Long-Boring-Event However, when I send an email and preparing the same URL through the same router I get: http://localhost/Registry/Registry/component/calendar/569555803/Some-Long-Boring-Event Has anybody run into this issue before?

  • trigger onchange event manually

    Hi all, I'm setting a date-time textfield value via a calendar widget. Obviously, the calendar widget does something like this : document.getElementById('datetimetext').value = date_value; What I want is : On changing value in the date-time textfield I need to reset some other fields in the page. I've added a onchange event listener to the datetimetext field which is not getting triggered, because I guess onchange gets triggered only when the element gets focus & its value is changed on losing focus. Hence I'm looking for a way to manually trigger this onchange event (which I guess should take care of checking the value difference in the text field). Any ideas ? Thanks in advance, Anitha

  • AlarmManager triggers PendingIntent too soon

    I've searched for 3 days now but didn't find a solution or similar problem/question anywhere else. Here is the deal: Trigger in 1 hour - works correct Trigger in 2 hours - Goes of in 1:23 Trigger in 1 day - Goes of in ~11:00 So why is the AlarmManager so unpredictable and always too soon? Or what am I doing wrong? And is there another way so that it could work correctly? I have noticed than when using the system from within IE (all versions) ASP.NET MVC will fail to bind the datetime to the action that send back the correct events. The sequence of events goes as follows. Calendar posts to server to get events Server ActionMethod accepts start and end date, automatically bound to datetime objects In every browser other than IE the start and end date come through as: Mon, 10 Jan 2011 00:00:00 GMT When IE posts the date, it comes through as Mon, 10 Jan 2011 00:00:00 UTC ASP.NET MVC 2 will then fail to automatically bind this to the action method parameter. Is there a reason why this is happening?   • How do I read CalDAV objects from Google using python/django?

    I've looked at vObject, iCalendar and the official list of CalDAV libraries, including 3 in python. However, I can't find any code that can get me an event object from a given CalDAV (i.e. google, exchange, etc.) server using a username/password. Most of the django calendar related code uses native code libraries and not WebDAV. An ideal python CalDAV client example would 1) use a given uid/pw, 2) obtain primary calendar and 3) obtain next appointment information (i.e. subject, location, start, end, etc.) Thanks!
