    - by Savan Parmar
    Hey All, I am using Vb.Net to Create Labels in Microsoft. For that i am using below mantioend Code. Public Sub CreateLabel(ByVal StrFilter As String, ByVal Path As String) WordApp = CreateObject("Word.Application") ''Add a new document. WordDoc = WordApp.Documents.Add() Dim oConn As SqlConnection = New SqlConnection(connSTR) oConn.Open() Dim oCmd As SqlCommand Dim oDR As SqlDataReader oCmd = New SqlCommand(StrFilter, oConn) oDR = oCmd.ExecuteReader Dim intI As Integer Dim FilePath As String = "" With WordDoc.MailMerge With .Fields Do While oDR.Read For intI = 0 To oDR.FieldCount - 1 .Add(WordApp.Selection.Range, oDR.Item(intI)) Next Loop End With Dim objAutoText As Word.AutoTextEntry = WordApp.NormalTemplate.AutoTextEntries.Add("MyLabelLayout", WordDoc.Content) WordDoc.Content.Delete() .MainDocumentType = Word.WdMailMergeMainDocType.wdMailingLabels FilePath = CreateSource(StrFilter) .OpenDataSource(FilePath) Dim NewLabel As Word.CustomLabel = WordApp.MailingLabel.CustomLabels.Add("MyLabel", False) WordApp.MailingLabel.CreateNewDocument(Name:="MyLabel", Address:="", AutoText:="MyLabelLayout") objAutoText.Delete() .Destination = Word.WdMailMergeDestination.wdSendToNewDocument WordApp.Visible = True .Execute() End With oConn.Close() WordDoc.Close() End Sub Private Function CreateSource(ByVal StrFilter As String) As String Dim CnnUser As SqlConnection = New SqlConnection(connSTR) Dim sw As StreamWriter = File.CreateText("C:\Mail.Txt") Dim Path As String = "C:\Mail.Txt" Dim StrHeader As String = "" Try Dim SelectCMD As SqlCommand = New SqlCommand(StrFilter, CnnUser) Dim oDR As SqlDataReader Dim IntI As Integer SelectCMD.CommandType = CommandType.Text CnnUser.Open() oDR = SelectCMD.ExecuteReader For IntI = 0 To oDR.FieldCount - 1 StrHeader &= oDR.GetName(IntI) & " ," Next StrHeader = Mid(StrHeader, 1, Len(StrHeader) - 2) sw.WriteLine(StrHeader) sw.Flush() sw.Close() StrHeader = "" Do While oDR.Read For IntJ As Integer = 0 To oDR.FieldCount - 1 StrHeader &= oDR.GetString(IntJ) & " ," Next Loop StrHeader = Mid(StrHeader, 1, Len(StrHeader) - 2) sw = File.AppendText(Path) sw.WriteLine(StrHeader) CnnUser.Close() sw.Flush() sw.Close() Catch ex As Exception MessageBox.Show(ex.Message, "TempID", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error) End Try Return Path End Function Now when i am running the programm i am getting this error.I tried hard but not able to locate what could be the problem the error is:- System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException --Horizontal and vertical pitch must be greater than or equal to the label width and height, respectively. Even though i tried to set the Horizontal and vertical pitch programatically but it gives same err. Plz if any one can help

  • Remote EJB lookup issue with WebSphere 6.1

    - by marc dauncey
    I've seen this question asked before, but I've tried various solutions proposed, to no avail. Essentially, I have two EJB enterprise applications, that need to communicate with one another. The first is a web application, the second is a search server - they are located on different development servers, not in the same node, cell, or JVM, although they are on the same physical box. I'm doing the JNDI lookup via IIOP, and the URL I am using is as follows: iiop://searchserver:2819 In my hosts file, I've set searchserver to 127.0.0.1. The ports for my search server are bound to this hostname too. However, when the web app (that uses Spring btw) attempts to lookup the search EJB, it fails with the following error. This is driving me nuts, surely this kind of comms between the servers should be fairly simple to get working. I've checked the ports and they are correct. I note that the exception says the initial context is H00723Node03Cell/nodes/H00723Node03/servers/server1, name: ejb/com/hmv/dataaccess/ejb/hmvsearch/HMVSearchHome. This is the web apps server NOT the search server. Is this correct? How can I get Spring to use the right context? • How can I define a clojure type that implements the servlet interface?

    - by Rob Lachlan
    I'm attempting to use deftype (from the bleeding-edge clojure 1.2 branch) to create a java class that implements the java Servlet interface. I would expect the code below to compile (even though it's not very useful). (ns foo [:import [javax.servlet Servlet ServletRequest ServletResponse]]) (deftype servlet [] javax.servlet.Servlet (service [this #^javax.servlet.ServletRequest request #^javax.servlet.ServletResponse response] nil)) But it doesn't compile. The compiler produces the message: Mismatched return type: service, expected: void, had: java.lang.Object [Thrown class java.lang.IllegalArgumentException] Which doesn't make sense to me, because I'm returning nil. So the fact that the return type of the method is void shouldn't be a problem. For instance, for the java.util.Set interface: (deftype bar [#^Number n] java.util.Set (clear [this] nil)) compiles without issue. So what am I doing wrong with the Servlet interface? To be clear: I know that the typical case is to subclass one of the servlet abstract classes rather than implement this interface directly, but it should still be possible to do this. Stack Trace: The stack trace for the (deftype servlet... is: Mismatched return type: service, expected: void, had: java.lang.Object [Thrown class java.lang.IllegalArgumentException] Restarts: 0: [ABORT] Return to SLIME's top level. • C# - NetUseAdd from NetApi32.dll on Windows Server 2008 and IIS7

    - by Jack Ryan
    I am attemping to use NetUseAdd to add a share that is needed by an application. My code looks like this. [DllImport("NetApi32.dll", SetLastError = true, CharSet = CharSet.Unicode)] internal static extern uint NetUseAdd( string UncServerName, uint Level, IntPtr Buf, out uint ParmError); ... USE_INFO_2 info = new USE_INFO_2(); info.ui2_local = null; info.ui2_asg_type = 0xFFFFFFFF; info.ui2_remote = remoteUNC; info.ui2_username = username; info.ui2_password = Marshal.StringToHGlobalAuto(password); info.ui2_domainname = domainName; IntPtr buf = Marshal.AllocHGlobal(Marshal.SizeOf(info)); try { Marshal.StructureToPtr(info, buf, true); uint paramErrorIndex; uint returnCode = NetUseAdd(null, 2, buf, out paramErrorIndex); if (returnCode != 0) { throw new Win32Exception((int)returnCode); } } finally { Marshal.FreeHGlobal(buf); } This works fine on our server 2003 boxes. But in attempting to move over to Server 2008 and IIS7 this doesnt work any more. Through liberal logging i have found that it hangs on the line Marshal.StructureToPtr(info, buf, true); I have absolutely no idea why this is can anyone shed any light on it for tell me where i might look for more information?

  • "Bad binary signature" in ASP.NET MVC application

    - by David M
    We are getting the error above on some pages of an ASP.NET MVC application when it is deployed to a 64 bit Windows 2008 server box. It works fine on our development machines, though these are 32 bit XP. Just wondered if anyone had encountered this before, and has any suggestions? Details as follows: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) All projects are set to compile for Any CPU, and are compiled in Release mode. The ASP.NET site is precompiled, and the precompiled build is on a 64 bit Windows 2008 TeamCity build agent. Thanks in advance. EDIT We're still plagued by this. I have looked at all the binaries in the website's bin directory using corflags.exe. None has the 32BIT flag set, and all have a CorFlags value of 9 except for Antlr3.Runtime.dll which has a value of 1. The problem only affects certain pages, and it seems to be those which use FluentValidation (including FluentValidation.Mvc and FluentValidation.xValIntegration assemblies). None of these shows anything out of the ordinary when inspected with corflags.exe, and there are no odd looking dependencies revealed by ildasm. When built locally (32 bit Windows XP) the site deploys and runs fine. When built on the build agents (64 bit Windows 2008 Server) the site displays these errors. The site runs in Integrated Pipeline mode, and is not set to 32 bit. The stack trace is: [COMException (0x80131192): Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192)] ASP.views_user_newinternal_aspx.__RenderContent2(HtmlTextWriter __w, Control parameterContainer) in e:\TeamCity\buildAgent\work\605ee6b4a5d1dd36\...Admin.Mvc\Views\User\NewInternal.aspx:53 System.Web.UI.Control.RenderChildrenInternal(HtmlTextWriter writer, ICollection children) +115 ASP.views_shared_site_master.__Render__control1(HtmlTextWriter __w, Control parameterContainer) in e:\TeamCity\buildAgent\work\605ee6b4a5d1dd36\...Admin.Mvc\Views\Shared\Site.Master:26 System.Web.UI.Control.RenderChildrenInternal(HtmlTextWriter writer, ICollection children) +115 System.Web.UI.Control.RenderChildrenInternal(HtmlTextWriter writer, ICollection children) +240 System.Web.UI.Page.Render(HtmlTextWriter writer) +38 System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage.Render(HtmlTextWriter writer) +94 System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +4240

  • Fastest way to access VB6 String in C#

    - by Simon Woods
    Hi I am using COMInterop. I have a call in VB6 which returns a string of roughly 13000 chars. If I execute the call in pure VB6 it takes about 800ms to execute. If I execute it via c# and COMInterop it takes about 8 seconds. I'm assuming the delay is caused by marshalling. If I am correct about marshalling, I'd be grateful if someone could suggest the fastest way I can get this into C#. e.g. Would it be better to a) expose it as a byte array b) provide a byref string param into the VB6 layer I would appreciate some sample code as well. I tried the Marshal.PtrToStringAuto(Marshal.ReadIntPtr(myCOMObject.GetString, 0) to no avail Many thx S

  • Cannot obtain value of local or argument 'hwndSource' as it is not available at this instruction poi

    - by Dänu
    Hey Guys I'm playing around with Interops and I thought: "Hey let's code something that accesses the clipboard ..." so I googled and found some articles (yeah I'm doing it with WPF - .Net 3.5). However the following method generates an error (as seen in the title) and throws a stackoverflow. private void Window_SourceInitialized(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Hook to Clipboard base.OnSourceInitialized(e); HwndSource hwndSource = PresentationSource.FromVisual(this) as HwndSource; if (hwndSource != null) { installedHandle = hwndSource.Handle; viewerHandle = SetClipboardViewer(installedHandle); hwndSource.AddHook(new HwndSourceHook(this.hwndSourceHook)); } // End Hook to Clipboard } I have (really) no idea what's going on there. Any Ideas?

  • midl.exe cannot load mscorlib.tlb

    - by Akash
    I'm trying to use midl to turn an idl file into a tlb. However, when I try I get this warning: warning MIDL2015: failed to load tlb in importlib : mscorlib.tlb and I then get a subsequent error: error MIDL2337 : unsatisfied forward declaration : _Object..... I'm certain that the error is due to the first warning. I've tried the same command on a different machine and it succeeds, so I know that the idl file is correct. I've tried uninstalling the .NET framework and reinstalling it in the hope that that would fix things, but it had no effect. So my question is, what do I need to fix on my machine to allow midl to locate mscorlib.tlb once more?

  • converting between struct and byte array

    - by chonch
    his question is about converting between a struct and a byte array. Many solutions are based around GCHandle.Alloc() and Marshal.StructureToPtr(). The problem is these calls generate garbage. For example, under Windows CE 6 R3 about 400 bytes of garbarge is made with a small structure. If the code below could be made to work the solution could be considered cleaner. It appears the sizeof() happens too late in the compile to work. public struct Data { public double a; public int b; public double c; } [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Explicit)] public unsafe struct DataWrapper { private static readonly int val = sizeof(Data); [FieldOffset(0)] public fixed byte Arr[val]; // "fixed" is to embed array instead of ref [FieldOffset(0)] public Data; // based on a C++ union }

    I have a VB6 App that uses a .Net component (via a .tlb reference in the VB6 app) which is working fine when executed as a compiled app, but it produces an error from the VB6 IDE a certain point when it is trying to use the .NET component. I should note that the error occurs when the .NET component is meant to be invoking a third party reporting component. What could the problem be? Could the VB6 IDE be looking in a different location for certain DLLs? The .tlb is in the same location as the application executable so I don't why there should be a problem. I need to have the application running in the IDE in order to debug and step through the code.

  • How to get default Ctrl+Tab functionality in WinForms MDI app when hosting WPF UserControls

    - by jpierson
    I have a WinForms based app with traditional MDI implementation within it except that I'm hosting WPF based UserControls via the ElementHost control as the main content for each of my MDI children. This is the solution recommended by Microsoft for achieving MDI with WPF although there are various side effects unfortunately. One of which is that my Ctrl+Tab functionality for tab switching between each MDI child is gone because the tab key seems to be swallowed up by the WPF controls. Is there a simple solution to this that will let the Ctrl+tab key sequences reach my WinForms MDI parent so that I can get the built-in tab switching functionality?

  • Using Dynamics AX's Business Conectors to Generate Sales Orders

    - by FelipeFiali
    So, just like the title says, I need to create an application that gets data from another Database, and shoves it through Dynamics AX's throat. This data comes from a portal, not Enterprise Portal, but a PHP one. It stores some data from the order in a separate database. So as said, I need to 'import' that to AX, creating the sales orders with the data I have from the other database. Also I'd like some references on Business Conector too, does it handle all those RECIDS and references that AX uses for me? Thanks in advance. EDIT: OK, I'm able to insert records in AX's database, theres just one problem. I can't generate the internal ID. Like, the 'AccountNum' field for the CustTable. Is there a way to capture it from business connector?

  • Using com.sun.net.httpserver.HttpServer for comet/cometd

    - by Paul
    Hi Wayne :) I want to use HttpServer, which you mentioned, and I think is cool to do comet/cometd. I am wondering how tough it is to do it so that I can take the waiting connections off the thread and into some waiting queue. Also, am I correct in that it looks like it is using nio? Also, is there any better examples? I always get caught up in the terminology that the javadoc uses... Thanks :)

  • How do I return all conflict documents from a Notes Database?

    - by ssg31415926
    I want to get all conflict documents from a Notes database. So far, i've got this: Domino.NotesSession notesSession; Domino.NotesDatabase notesDatabase = this.OpenDatabase(out notesSession); Domino.NotesDateTime dateTime = notesSession.CreateDateTime(String.Empty); Domino.NotesDocumentCollection results = notesDatabase.Search(this.SearchString, dateTime, 0); It works with, for example: searchString = "@Contains(ShortName;\"Bob\")"; How can I do the equivalent for conflict documents?

  • http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/org/w3c/dom/Document.html#getDoctype()

    - by Tom Brito
    The Document class have a getDoctype method but doesn't have a setDoctype. The documentation says: The DOM Level 2 does not support editing the Document Type Declaration. docType cannot be altered in any way, including through the use of methods inherited from the Node interface, such as insertNode or removeNode. and in my project I need to generate xml files with my specified doctypes. I've tryied to create my own DefaultNode, but it throws "DOMException: Method not supported" for the setters. Any idea?
