  • How to parse a date from an SSIS Excel filename

    I want to use the foreach container to iterate through a folder matching something like: "Filename_MMYYYY.xls". That's easy enough to do; but I can't seem to find a way to parse the MMYYYY from the filename and add it to a variable (or something) that i can use as a lookup field for my DimDate table. It seems possible with a flat file data source, but not an excel connection. I'm using Visual Studio 2005. Please help!

  • How to reduce compile time with C++ templates

    I'm in the process of changing part of my C++ app from using an older C type array to a templated C++ container class. See this question for details. While the solution is working very well, each minor change I make to the templated code causes a very large amount of recompilation to take place, and hence drastically slows build time. Is there any way of getting template code out of the header and back into a cpp file, so that minor implementation changes don't cause major rebuilds?

  • How do you make a wrapped div fill the window horizontally?

    I have a div which is contained by another 960px-wide centered div. I'm adding a background to the inner div which should expand all the way to the window's edges horizontally, essentially escaping the boundaries of its container. If I apply a large negative margin and equal amount of padding, this works on the left side, but the right side causes a scroll bar to appear. Does anyone know how I can achieve this without causing scroll bars?

Now so you don't have to spend years thinking about what this [should] do[es]: I have a class myMainContainer which has as its only member an instance of mySubContainer. mySubContainer only has a string val as member. So I create a vector and fill it with some sample data. Now, what I want to do is: Iterate through the vector and make a separate function able to modify the current myMainContainer in the vector. However, the vector remains unchanged as the output tells: 0: Value before='foo' 0: Value after='foo' 1: Value before='bar' 1: Value after='bar' What am I doing wrong? doSomethingWith has to return void, I can't let it return the modified myMainContainer and then just overwrite it in the vector, that's why I tried to pass it by reference as seen in the doSomethingWith definition above.

  • Caliburn.micro View ViewModel name resolution issue

    I am using a namespace called ComShorCaliburnWPF.ViewModules.Views.ShortMenuWindows.GWDSCT on my View.xaml and View.cs, for my ViewModel.cs and my IoC container I am using ComShorCaliburnWPF.ViewModules.Views.ShortMenuWindows.GWDSCT. When I remove the GWDSCT at the end it works fine, but in its current state it does not. I would like it to work how it is now because it accurately reflects where the files are located. Any suggestions?

But I'm in need of a small snippet that looks up the current height of a div (the div has a dynamic height based on the content inside it) and then set that value in the css class's min-height value. Basically what this means is that I want this container to have it's min-height to be the exact same value as it's current height. This is probably a quick one :)

  • How can I link two Java serialised objects back together?

    Sometimes (quite a lot, actually) we get a situation in Java where two objects are pointing to the same thing. Now if we serialise these separately it is quite appropriate that the serialised forms have separate copies of the object as it should be possible to open one without the other. However if we now deserialise them both, we find that they are still separated. Is there any way to link them back together?   • Unfortunately App stopped when destroying SupportMapFragment

    I have the following problem. I have three fragments which are hosted in a TabHost. When I'm working with the app everything works fine. Now I like to end the app when the user hits the back button. Instead of terminating without errors I get the message Unfortunately App stopped. Then I said to myself something is wrong with the onDestroy() method of the FragmentActivity or with the onDestroyView method() of the Fragment. The problem is I cannot debug the point where the app crash. I get only the error:Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV). I then removed one by one each Fragment to identify which fragment causes the error. I could identify the fragment that I named BasicMapFragment. Something is wrong there. The code: public class BasicMapFragment extends SupportMapFragment implements LocationListener { @Override public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) { View view = super.onCreateView(inflater, container, savedInstanceState); //removeAllMarkers(); //setupGps(); //setupMap(); //setupMarkersFromModel(); //registerListeners(); return view; } } I commented out all my self written code to isolate the place where the error occurs. @Override public void onDestroy() { Log.d("ch.xxx.fragment.BasiceMapFragment", "On destroy called"); super.onDestroy(); } public void onDestroyView() { Log.d("ch.xxx.fragment.BasiceMapFragment", "On destroy view called"); super.onDestroyView(); } When I press the back button now the onDestroy() method of my FragmentActivity is first called like expected. Then the onDestroyView method is called on my BasicMapFragment class. At the end the onDestroy method is called - and then the application crash.   • JQuery Slideout only works on one side of the page?!

    I've been working on a little slideout code and it's just been impossible. It works perfectly sliding out from the right of the page but when I reverse everything and have it slide from the left, not a chance! The exact issue is that it slides out farther than the width of it's container. Example at http://demindu.com/sandbox/slideout/. I'd certainly appreciate any tips in the right direction.
