    Question about logics here: What's the most elegant way to make the menu appear/disappear onmouseover/onmouseout? See the following JsBin: http://jsbin.com/owayeb/edit#source The Menu is hidden by default. If the user moves his cursor above the Link the showme() function gets called. When the user moves his cursor away the hideme() functions gets called. How would I get the Menu to persist while the user moves his mouse away from the Link to above the Menu? Or is this all the wrong school of thought?

    In school I am part of a team of four working to create a GUI to translate the paper records of a made-up company and their functionality to a digital format. We're using an ASP.NET website for this purpose. Basically we use stored procedures and C# classes to represent the database. The folder we're using for the project contains the site and the libraries in separate folders. If I try to open the site from the folder containing both these elements the site will not run. I want to know if there is some way I can set up a relative path to the database in the Settings.Settings.cs file (or by some other means) of my libraries so I don't have to constantly change the database location for the connection string value every time we move the project. I suppose I should also mention that the database is in an App_Data folder.

  • Creating dynamic icons based on data entered into database from django forms

    So I'm using Django to create a projects page with multiple forms for each project. Let's call them form 1, 2, 3, and 4. Once you create a project you can fill out any of these forms. I want to create "buttons" or links for each one of the forms that would show up on the main page. Now this is the part I need help with: Step 1. I want it so that if you click on a button for a form (say form 1) and none exists for that project yet a pop up would come up saying "This form does not exist yet, are you sure you want to create one?". And if you'd answer yes you would be directed to the form page. Step 2. But if that form does exist, I don't want any pop up to open and I want the link to take the user directly to that page. Step 3. My next problem is this. These forms are in order, so if you didn't create form 1 but created form 2, I don't want to give the user access to form 1. So in this scenario, if you click on form 1 I want a pop up to open and say "This form can no longer be created", and the link wouldn't function anymore. Basically the button will have 3 function. First it should look at the database and if data for that specific form exists it should do "Step 2", if data for that form and the proceeding forms don't exist it should do "Step 1", and if data for that form doesn't exist but data for proceeding form's does exist is should do "Step 3". Is this possible? Please help as I need to find a solution to this soon. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you

  • Question creating PDF document in Zend Framework

    I need to take a ZF rendered view and create a PDF that should look pretty much exactly the same, and email it. The major issue I have right now is getting the HTML created by the view into a string that I can then process with the Zend_PDF::parse method. The view I need to turn into a PDF is the result of a posted form. I've tried grabbing the contents of ob_get_contents into a string after a successful post, but for some reason its not in there. Should I press on with this angle? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Should we create one object outside the loops and recreate it all over again (using new... ) or create new one for every loop iteration?   • Creating a Pop up and setting its view state before it displays

    Hi, I am a beginner developer in Flex, and I have been using viewstates lately. I had a couple of custom popup titlewindow components that are initialized using: PopUpManager.createPopUp(this, ContentCreate, true); They both contain view states already, and are very similar so I wanted to combione them into one popup titlewindow and change view state on initialisation of the popup to either the Create version of the popup or the Update. I thought I was being smart haha, but I realized soon after refactoring my code that, I as far as I know I can't pass parameters to the popup to indicate which state I want, if it is created using the PopUpManager. Does anyone know how to pass parameters to the PopupManager, or create the ContentCreate component(TitleWindow) in mxml or code so I can specify the view state?

    Is there an easy way to dump an array returned from mysql_fetch_row into a CFArray? (part of the PHP implementation of CFPropertyList) I'm bummed by the lack of documentation on CFPropertyList for PHP. Iterating through each item in the array seems inefficient. I'm open to using a different mysql_fetch_... command. I'd like to just say: $NewArray = new CFArray( $ResultArray ) But that deosn't seem to work.     I'm making a tournament manager in CakePHP 1.3 and I have a tournament controller which is fine but I want to implement a interface that can be used to define how a tournament runs. the controller needs to load a concrete class that implements the TournamentStyle interface that defines how the tournament works. At the end of a round the TournamentStyle is used to calculate the scores and winners and generate the next round of matches. That gives me a .php file for the interface and other files for the various styles. My question is: where would I put these files and how would I load them into my tournament controller?

    There was another thread about this, which I've tried. But there is one problem: the textarea doesn't shrink if you delete the content. I can't find any way to shrink it to the correct size - the clientHeight value comes back as the full size of the textarea, not its contents. The code from that page is below. The problem would be easily solved if there was some way for me to create a "table" with 4 rows as part of my SELECT (to use with NOT IN or MINUS). What I mean is, I can do this: SELECT 1, 2, 3, 4; And will receive one row from the database: | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | But is there any way to receive the following (without using UNION, I don't really want a query that's potentially thousands of lines long with a long list)? | 1 | | 2 | | 3 | | 4 |

    I have everything in place to create slugs from titles, but there is one issue. My RegEx replaces spaces with hyphens. But when a user types "Hi     there" (multiple spaces) the slug ends up as "Hi-----there". When really it should be "Hi-there". Should I create the regular expression so that it only replaces a space when there is a character either side? Or is there an easier way to do this?

    The reason for asking this question is because I want to be able to draw an arrow between two svg images. I want to use canvas to create the arrows, so firstly I generate the svgs then place a canvas on top of them to be able to draw the arrows. I've tried using style=... but haven't had any luck as everytime I add the canvas element it just pushes my svg images to another pl If there's no easy way to do this I'll just create arrows using SVG, I figured it would be more efficient to use canvas if I had to do lots of arrows in a short amount of time.
