• Pylibmc requiring libmemcached >= 0.32

  On Ubuntu, I installed libmemcached-dev using the following command: apt-get install libmemcached-dev Unfortunately it installs libmemcached version 0.31, and pylibmc requires that I compile with v 0.32+ to run, otherwise I get an import error. I've tried removing libmemcached-dev with apt-get --purge remove, then installing libmemcached v 0.38, then re-compiling pylibmc, but it still gives me the requires libmemcached v 0.32+ error.

• unittest import error with virtualenv + google-app-engine-django

  I'm working with google-app-engine-django + zipped django. Just running "python manage.py test" succeeded without error. • jQuery Autocomplete plug-in search configuration

  I'm looking into using jQuery autocomplete plug-in to implement user lookup by first or last name. It looks like by default autocomplete looks up words by character sequence no matter its occurrence in a word. So if you have data such as: javascript, asp, haskell and you type in 'as' you will get all three. I would like it to at least match beginning of the word. So in above example you get only 'asp'. Is there a way to configure jQuery Autocomplete plug-in to do this? Ultimately it would be even better to match by beginning of first or last name like it is in Gmail.

• jQuery - growlUI and ASP Update Panel Postback Problem

  I am using the jQuery blockUI plugin's growlUI to display a return status message to the user when returning from an async postback from an update panel. What happens is after returning and displaying the growl notification, any further postbacks seem to be broken and the app just spins. I am using the ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock method to register the script. and calling the growl UI method in javascript with $.growlUI('Notification', 'Message'); There are no javascript errors being displayed.

• MySQL InnoDB Corruption after power outage, possible to recover?

  Hey Guys, I recently started trying to get Redmine up and running after a power outage that seems to have corrupted our InnoDB database in MySQL. Redmine had an extensive set of documentation that I would like to get even if redmine isn't able to run. The service fails on startup. I have tried inserting innodb_force_recovery = 4 per the documentation from the url in the error log. (also tried 1 thru 6 as I have backed up all directories after the corruption) I have verified through "mysqld-nt --print-defaults" that it is starting with the recovery option in the params. The machine is running Windows Server 2003 SP2, Xeon E5335 with 2GB RAM, MySQL is not mirrored to another machine, nor is the machine a mirror. I do not have any backups because the previous person did not set them up.   Hi there Im am trying to use the isapi rewrite tool on my web domain to write some basic rules, but am getting a bit confused. My base url is http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/index.cfm and every page on the site follows from this base url. For example http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/index.cfm/artist/blondie would be the artist page for blondie.. What I am looking for, is a rewrite rule, that would remove the index.cfm from the url, instead leaving http://forevr-dev.co.uk/musicexplained/artist/blondie. I have put the httpd.ini file in my musicexplained folder, under the root of my forevr-dev.co.uk domain, and I am using the following code below, which I used from the coldbox coldfusion framework application examples. RewriteEngine On RepeatLimit 0 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.cfm/%{REQUEST_URI} [QSA,L] However, when I now go to the new pretty url, I am recieving an error message saying that the page cannot be found, alongside a 404 message. • tf14087 Cannot undelete [file] because not all of the deletion is being undeleted

  We are getting this error when we try to merge from a development branch (Dev) back to its parent branch (Main). Main did have some changesets rolled back a few weeks ago which included the deletion of some folders which exist in Dev. We believe this is the source of the problem. What is the best way to resolve this. Main should pretty much match up with Dev but currently it is missing some sub folders. How can I get these folders / files to move from Dev to Main? We are trying to manually resolve the changes but it is a bit of a mess. It hard to believe that TFS makes things this hard to resolve.

  I am try to set a cell formulat that references cells from other workbooks. However, when I open the programmatically generated workbook, the formula cells show up as #REF!. • Simple comet example using php and jquery

  I have searched on google for hours without finding a good and simple example of the comet technique using PHP. I just need an example that uses a persistent HTTP connection or something similar. I dont want to use a polling technique because I have something like that set up and not only is it difficult to work with and manage its a big hog of resources. Also I am using IIS7 not Apache. Maybe some custom setting with appengine_config.py can solve this problem but doesn't figure out how to fix it. What can I do?

• UIButton doesn't listen to content mode setting?

  firstButton is a UIButton of type Custom. I'm programmatically putting three of them across each cell of a table, thusly: [firstButton setImage:markImage forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [firstButton setContentMode:UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit]; [cell.contentView addSubview:firstButton]; Elsewhere, I'm telling it to clipToBounds. What I get is a crop of the center square of the image, rather than an aspect-scaled rendering of it. I've tried this lots of ways, including setting the mode property on firstButton.imageView, which also doesn't seem to work.

• Unlocking SVN working copy with unversioned resources

  I have a repository which contains some unversioned directories and files. The server running svn was recently changed and since the checkout was done using the url svn://OLD-IP, I relocated my svn working copy, this time to the url svn://NEW-DOMAIN-NAME. Now since there are some unversioned resources, the switch did not happen properly and the working copy got locked. A cleanup operation did not work either because of these unversioned resources. I looked up in the net and found about svn ignore and tried that but to no use. I am unable to release all locks. Any ideas on solving the problem? Once I release the locks, I believe I can use svn ignore and carry on the relocate operation.

• Memory Troubles with UIImagePicker

  I'm building an app that has several different sections to it, all of which are pretty image-heavy. It ties in with my client's website and they're a "high-design" type outfit. One piece of the app is images uploaded from the camera or the library, and a tableview that shows a grid of thumbnails. Pretty reliably, when I'm dealing with the camera version of UIImagePickerControl, I get hit for low memory. If I bounce around that part of the app for a while, I occasionally and non-repeatably crash with "status:10 (SIGBUS)" in the debugger. On low memory warning, my root view controller for that aspect of the app goes to my data management singleton, cruises through the arrays of cached data, and kills the biggest piece, the image associated with each entry. I know it's not telling me about the actual memory footprint of the UIImages themselves, but it gives me SOME numbers at least, so I can see that SOMETHING'S happening. (Sorry for the hamfisted way I build that NSLog message too--I was going to fire another UIAlertView, but realized it'd be more useful to log it.) Pretty reliably, after toodling around in the image portion of the app for a while, I'll pull up the camera interface and get the low memory UIAlertView like three or four times in quick succession. So that's the situation. Now my specific questions: THE time I see this happening is when the UIPickerView's camera iris shuts. I click the button to take the picture, it does the "click" animation, and Instruments shows my memory footprint going from about 10mb to about 25mb, and sitting there until the image is delivered to my UIViewController, where usage drops back to 10 or 11mb again. If we make it through that without a memory warning, we're golden, but most likely we don't. Anything I can do to make that not be so expensive? Second, I have NSZombies enabled. Am I understanding correctly that that's actually preventing memory from being freed? Am I subjecting my app to an unfair test environment? Third, is there some way to programmatically get my memory usage? Or at least the usage for a UIImage object? I've scoured the docs and don't see anything about that.
