    With Netbeans I've succeded center a jpanel with fixed size, within an other jpanel. Now I can't repeat it - only copy it. How did I do? (or should I do to center x and y a jpanel with fixed size in another jpanel).   • Center a TextBox over the top of a ScrollViewer in WPF.

    I have a MainView that contains a navigation bar which selects one of many XAML pages to be displayed in the page view pane. The MainView contains a ScrollViewer around the pages. This allows the pages to be whatever size they need to be and the MainView's ScrollViewer scrolls them. This all works great. On one of the pages, I need to (sometimes) center a TextBox in the middle of the page view pane (over the top of the page content). This was easily done by placing both the page content and the TextBox overlapping each other in a Grid (and I hide the TextBox as necessary). This all seems to work great. However, if the page content grows to be larger than the pane, the TextBox is centered not on the pane, but on the full page content. Thus, it moves from center screen down and/or to the right (and eventually off the screen). Bummer. Options: Remove the ScrollViewer from the MainView. This would require placing one on every page! Argh. Do option #1, and create a ScrolledPage base class. This is a lot of work, and I'm worried about tools issues (Blend issues). It also requires changing every page (to subclass this page). Somehow override the ScrollViewer on just this page. Then, place another ScrollViewer on the page content to Scroll it. Option 3 seems preferable, because it contains the issue to just modifying this page (instead of changing the rest of the pages). However, I can't figure out how to do it. Ideas? Thanks in advance!   • I need to move a dived CSS module into the center of the page...

    I'm building a website for someone and they wanted the text and bulk of the information to be centered on the page. Problem is I can get everything contained in a tag and then assign the class, but I can't get the whole thing to center. It always hangs to the left even if I apply centering to the div class. I guess you could say that it is stuck on the left side of the page when I want everything to be centered. I would just make everything format larger but they want some space left in the background for the color and maybe some imagery later on. They haven't made up their minds. If you want to take a look here is the link where I'm building or testing stuff. I know the header and such needs to be re proportioned to fit with everything, but just as a frame of reference. Don't worry about the header, just know that I want the white text information area with the purple border to stay the same size, but just move to the center and if some one could tell me how to do that I would appreciate it greatly.

  • Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive: Accesing the data in the disk?

    Hi all! I have an Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive, 1TB, and lately I can't access the data on the drive. The shares (both built-in and created by me) are there, the security works, but when trying to access the data I get a "The network path was not found" message which is worrying, to say the least. I'd like to know if there is a way to get the data off the disks somehow, as some of the data in the drive (ie, pictures and videos of my 1.5 yrs old son) is hard if not impossible to find otherwise.   • Having trouble with some media while using Firefox in Ubuntu.

    I just started using Firefox in Ubuntu today. While on Twitter, I noticed some avatars not showing up, but just their description as seen in the screen shot below. Any idea what could cause this? Also, I need to d/l Adobe Flash so I can get other media to work online. It gives me the option to d/l it but then takes me to the Flash file with no option to install. Any ideas with this as well?   • How to remap media keys on laptop,without external programs?

    As on most laptops, my laptop has "special" keys, or media keys, as they are sometimes called. On Linux, I can easily read keycodes with things like xev, put other functions back to it. Either with xmodmap or by simply giving the keys functions in my window manager. How is that possible on Windows? Is there even a way to scan those keys and remap them? Possibly even give them different functions as on Linux? If so, where do I do that? I heard of several programs atempting on changing that, but I don't see why I should install another program. I see it as integral part of the OS. For instance, I have a key with an 'i' in a circle. It normally opens a new browser window. When Chrome is already open, it makes the current tab go to my selected homepage (which is about:blank). I'd like to change the functionality of it.

  • Ubuntu - Automatically mount external drives to /media/LABEL on boot without a user logged in?

    This question is similar, but kind of the opposite of what I want. I want external USB drives to be mounted automatically at boot, without anyone logged in, to locations like /media/<label>. I don't want to have to enter all the data into fstab, partially because it's tedious and annoying, but mostly because I can't predict what I'll be plugging into it or how the partitions will change in the future. I want the drives to be accessible to things like MPD, and available when I log in with SSH. gnome-mount seems to only mount things when you are locally logged into a Gnome graphical session.

  • Recommend a good DVD or BD replacement drive that can read older CD-R/DVD+R media?

    So I have a bunch of older CD-R (and a few DVD+R) discs that are either suffering from "bit rot", or a case of crappy no-name Chinese DVD drives being unable to read some or all of anymore. I just threw my last no-name DVD drive in the trash after it ejected a disk still spinning causing it to scratch to the point of being useless, so I'm looking for a replacement drive this time around with an eye for quality over a dirt cheap price. I'd prefer a BD drive, but I'll take any suggestions for good, reliable DVD or BD drives that people have reported having good success with for reading older burned media. Any takers?

  • Linux : How to convert media files to DVD format and burn?

    I have a load of media files on my PC, mostly AVI/MKV and some mpegs. On windows, I would use ConvertXToDVD to convert these to DVD format, and to burn to disc. That application also lets you save a bit of space on the DVD to put the original file in its AVI format on as well. How can I do this on linux? What are the alternatives to this Windows application? I could try to run ConvertXtoDVD under wine but I would prefer to find a native linux solution Thanks in advance!

  • Can I bypass an intermediate object in hibernate

    I have top level entities TRACK, MEDIA_GROUP and MEDIA, each with an integer primary key. I also have a join table from TRACK to MEDIA_GROUP which is 1:1 and MEDIA has a FK column into MEDIA_GROUP. I'm trying to find a way in hibernate to map a collection of Media directly into the Track object, bypassing the creation of a MediaGroup object. Basically I want to turn this: TRACK <-> MEDIA_TRACK_MAP <-> MEDIA_GROUP <-> MEDIA into this: TRACK <-> MEDIA_TRACK_MAP <-> MEDIA But the join column between MEDIA_TRACK_MAP and MEDIA isn't the primary key of MEDIA.

    Hi, I have the following classes: Client ClientCacheMedia ( contains Client, Media and some other parameters so it is the link between the media and the client) Media where client contains an IList. Now what i would like to do, is have a way to check if this ilist contains a certain media so : Client.ClientCacheMedia.Contains(MyMedia) is there any way to let the IList accept media as an object to match ? ( i can easily override the Equals Property on ClientCacheMedia to check if the media passed is the one that the ClientCacheMedia.Media contains, it's just the Ilist that will not accept any other object on the Contains Method.

    Boxee is a free cross platform HTPC application that plays media locally and via the Internet. Today we’ll take a look at how to manage your local movie collection in Boxee. Note: We are using the most recent version of Boxee running on Windows 7. Your experience on an earlier version or a Mac or Linux build may vary slightly. If you are using an earlier version of Boxee, we recommend you update to the current version (0.9.21.11487). The latest update features significant improvements in file and media identification. Naming your Movie Files Proper file naming is important for Boxee to correctly identify your movie files. Before you get started you may want to take some time to name your files properly. Boxee supports the following naming conventions: Lawrence of Arabia.avi Lawrence.of.Arabia.avi Lawrence of Arabia (1962).avi Lawrence.of.Arabia(1962).avi For multi-part movies, you can use .part or .cd to identify first and second parts of the movie. Gettysburg.part1.avi Gettysburg.part2.avi If you are unsure of the correct title of the movie, check with IMDB.com. Supported File Types Boxee supports the following video file types and codecs: AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, FLV, MKV, MOV, MP4, M4A, AAC, NUT, Ogg, OGM, RealMedia RAM/RM/RV/RA/RMVB, 3gp, VIVO, PVA, NUV, NSV, NSA, FLI, FLC, and DVR-MS (beta support) CDs, DVDs, VCD/SVCD MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (SP and ASP, including DivX, XviD, 3ivx, DV, H.263), MPEG-4 AVC (aka H.264), HuffYUV, Indeo, MJPEG, RealVideo, QuickTime, Sorenson, WMV, Cinepak Adding Movie Files to Boxee Boxee will automatically scan your default media folders and add any movie files to My Movies. Boxee will attempt to identify the media and check sources on the web to get data like cover art and other metadata. Eventually you should see My Movies begin to populate with cover art and metadata.   You can see the progress and find unidentified files by clicking on the yellow arrow to the left, or navigating to the left with your keyboard or remote and selecting Manage Sources.   Here you can see how many files (if any) Boxee failed to identify. To see which titles are unresolved, select Unidentified Files.   Here you’ll find your unresolved files. Select one of the unidentified files to search for the proper movie information. Next, select the Indentify Video icon. Boxee will fill in the title of the file or you edit the title yourself in the text box. Click Search. The results of your search will be displayed. Scroll through and select the title that fits your movie. Check the details of the film to make sure you have the correct title and select Done.   Fixing Incorrectly Indentified Files If you find a movie has been incorrectly identified you can correct it manually. Select the movie. Then search for the correct movie title from the list and select it. When you’re sure you found the correct movie, click Done. Filtering your Movies You can filter your movie collection by genre, or by whether it has been marked as watched or unwatched. When you’ve finished watching a movie, Boxee will mark it as watched.   You can also manually mark a title as watched.   Boxee also features a wide variety of genres by which you can filter the titles in your library. Playing your Movie When you’re ready to start watching a movie, simply select your title.   From here, you can select the “i” icon to read more information about the movie, add it to your queue, or add a shortcut.     I have tried using integers to store the number like so: playPin = 35 + arc4random() % 118; playY = -50 - arc4random() %100; if (CGRectIntersectsRect(pin.frame, refreshpin.frame)){ pin.center = CGPointMake(playPin, playY); pinend.center = CGPointMake(pin.center.x, pin.center.y+58); } Then using them, when needed, but... its random the first time, then it just keeps repeating itself. then i tried this: if (CGRectIntersectsRect(pin.frame, refreshpin.frame)){ pin.center = CGPointMake(35 + arc4random() % 118, -50 - arc4random() %100); pinend.center = CGPointMake(pin.center.x, pin.center.y+58); } And this also doesn't work, you cant even see the items i want to display!     I have two machines, each configured identically as a firewall/load balancer for a busy website. I have set them up with CARP and pfsync on both the internal and external interfaces. The internal interface is behaving as expected (primary listed as MASTER and secondary listed as BACKUP) On both machines, the network interfaces are as follows: em0 - External interface bge0 - Internal interface bge1 - Crossover connection between both machines carp0 - Shared external interface for CARP carp1 - Shared internal interface for CARP I've rewritten the IP addresses and MAC addresses below.
