  • NoPrimaryKeyException from DBUnit when loading a dataset into a databse

    - by Omar Kooheji
I'm getting NoPrimaryKeyException when I try to run one of my unit tests which uses DBUnit. The datatable is created using Hibernate and is a join table between two classes mapping a many to many relationship. The annotations that define the relationship are as follows: @Override @ManyToMany @JoinTable(name="offset_file_offset_entries", joinColumns={@JoinColumn(name="offset_entry_id")},inverseJoinColumns={@JoinColumn(name="file_description_id")}) public List<OffsetEntry> getOffsets() { The other entries in in the XML file I'm using to define the dataset seem to work fine but not the join table. I get the following exception: org.dbunit.dataset.NoPrimaryKeyException: offset_file_offset_entries at org.dbunit.operation.UpdateOperation.getOperationData(UpdateOperation.java:72) at org.dbunit.operation.RefreshOperation$UpdateRowOperation.<init>(RefreshOperation.java:266) at org.dbunit.operation.RefreshOperation.createUpdateOperation(RefreshOperation.java:142) at org.dbunit.operation.RefreshOperation.execute(RefreshOperation.java:100) at org.dbunit.ext.mssql.InsertIdentityOperation.execute(InsertIdentityOperation.java:217) at uk.co.sabio.obscheduler.application.dao.AbstractBaseDatabaseTest.setUp(AbstractBaseDatabaseTest.java:57) at org.springframework.test.context.junit38.AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.runManaged(AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.java:332) at org.springframework.test.context.junit38.AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.access$0(AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.java:326) at org.springframework.test.context.junit38.AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests$1.run(AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.java:216) at org.springframework.test.context.junit38.AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.runTest(AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.java:296) at org.springframework.test.context.junit38.AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.runTestTimed(AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.java:253) at org.springframework.test.context.junit38.AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.runBare(AbstractJUnit38SpringContextTests.java:213) at junit.framework.TestResult$1.protect(TestResult.java:110) at junit.framework.TestResult.runProtected(TestResult.java:128) at junit.framework.TestResult.run(TestResult.java:113) at junit.framework.TestCase.run(TestCase.java:124) at junit.framework.TestSuite.runTest(TestSuite.java:232) at junit.framework.TestSuite.run(TestSuite.java:227) at org.junit.internal.runners.JUnit38ClassRunner.run(JUnit38ClassRunner.java:83) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit4.runner.JUnit4TestReference.run(JUnit4TestReference.java:46) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.TestExecution.run(TestExecution.java:38) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.runTests(RemoteTestRunner.java:467) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.runTests(RemoteTestRunner.java:683) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.run(RemoteTestRunner.java:390) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit.runner.RemoteTestRunner.main(RemoteTestRunner.java:197) the Dataset entry in question looks like this: <offset_file_offset_entries offset_entry_id="1" file_description_id="1" /> And matches up with the database which has both fields as primary keys (The Databse is MS SQL Server if that helps) There are corresponding entries in the two tables being Joined defined in the following xml: <dataset> <file_description file_path="src/test/resources/" file_pattern=".txt" file_description_id="1"/> <offset_file_description file_description_id="1"/> <offset_entries offset_entry_id="1" field_name="Field1" field_length="10" start_index="0"/> <offset_file_offset_entries offset_entry_id="1" file_description_id="1" /> </dataset> Do I have to define the primary keys in the hibernate annotations? If so How do I do so? do I have to change the way I define my dataset to imply that the two columns are a joint primary key? I'm not very proficient with hibernate or DBUnit for that matter and I'm at my wits end so any assistance would be really appreciated.

  • Resgen al.exe generated resources do not work within .net library

    - by Raj G
Hi, I am currently working on a library in .Net and I planned to make the strings that are used within the library into culture specific resource files. I made Resources.resx, Resources.en-US.resx and Resources.ja-JP.resx file. I also deleted the Resources.designer.cs file autogenerated by visual studio 2008. I am loading Resources through my custom ResourceManager object [using GetString method]. The problem that I am facing is that when I compile the library within visual studio and set the culture from the calling application, everything is working fine. But if I manually go to the directory and change a string for a culture and regenerate the satellite assembly with resgen and al.exe, the string displayed, falls back to the invariant culture. I have attached the ildasm view of both the dlls en-US generated from within visual studio //Metadata version: v2.0.50727 .assembly extern mscorlib { .publickeytoken = (B7 7A 5C 56 19 34 E0 89 ) // .z\V.4.. .hash = (71 05 4D 54 C4 8D C2 90 7D 8B CF 57 2E B5 98 22 // q.MT....}..W..." But the overarching goal is letting google docs function as a front-end editor to sql. thx --steve...

  • ffmpeg - How to determine if -movflags faststart is enabled? PHP

    - by IIIOXIII
While I am able to encode an mp4 file which I can plan on my local windows machine, I am having trouble encoding files to mp4 which are readable when streaming by safari, etc. After a bit of reading, I believe my issue is that I must move the metadata from the end of the file to the beginning in order for the converted mp4 files to be streamable. To that end, I am trying to find out if the build of ffmpeg that I am currently using is able to use the -movflags faststart option through php - as my current outputted mp4 files are not working when streamed online. This is the way I am now echoing the -help, -formats, -codecs, but I am not seeing anything about -movflags faststart in any of the lists: exec($ffmpegPath." -help", $codecArr); for($ii=0;$ii<count($codecArr);$ii++){ echo $codecArr[$ii].'</br>'; } Is there a similar method of determining if -movflags fastart is available to my ffmpeg build? Any other way? Should it be listed with any of the previously suggested commands? -help/-formats? Can someone that knows it is enabled in their version of ffmpeg check to see if it is listed under -help or -formats, etc.? TIA. • How to write a buffer-overflow exploit in GCC,windows XP,x86?

    - by Mask
    void function(int a, int b, int c) { char buffer1[5]; char buffer2[10]; int *ret; ret = buffer1 + 12; (*ret) += 8;//why is it 8?? } void main() { int x; x = 0; function(1,2,3); x = 1; printf("%d\n",x); } The above demo is from here: http://insecure.org/stf/smashstack.html But it's not working here: D:\test>gcc -Wall -Wextra hw.cpp && a.exe hw.cpp: In function `void function(int, int, int)': hw.cpp:6: warning: unused variable 'buffer2' hw.cpp: At global scope: hw.cpp:4: warning: unused parameter 'a' hw.cpp:4: warning: unused parameter 'b' hw.cpp:4: warning: unused parameter 'c' 1 And I don't understand why it's 8 though the author thinks: A little math tells us the distance is 8 bytes. Why function needs 56 bytes for local variables?( sub $0x38,%esp )

  • Find out CRC or CHECKSUM of RS232 data

    - by Carlos Alloatti
I need to communicate with a RS232 device, I have no specs or information available. I send a 16 byte command and get a 16 byte result back. The last byte looks like some kind of crc or checksum, I have tried using this http://miscel.dk/MiscEl/miscelCRCandChecksum.html with no luck. Anyone can reverse engineer the crc/checksum algorithm? here is some data captured with an RS-232 monitor program: 01 80 42 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 B3 01 80 42 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 • Sending large serialized objects over sockets is failing only when trying to grow the byte Array, bu

    - by FinancialRadDeveloper
I have code where I am trying to grow the byte array while receiving the data over my socket. This is erroring out. public bool ReceiveObject2(ref Object objRec, ref string sErrMsg) { try { byte[] buffer = new byte[1024]; byte[] byArrAll = new byte[0]; bool bAllBytesRead = false; int iRecLoop = 0; // grow the byte array to match the size of the object, so we can put whatever we // like through the socket as long as the object serialises and is binary formatted while (!bAllBytesRead) { if (m_socClient.Receive(buffer) > 0) { byArrAll = Combine(byArrAll, buffer); iRecLoop++; } else { m_socClient.Close(); bAllBytesRead = true; } } MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(buffer); BinaryFormatter bf1 = new BinaryFormatter(); ms.Position = 0; Object obj = bf1.Deserialize(ms); objRec = obj; return true; } catch (System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException se) { objRec = null; sErrMsg += "SocketClient.ReceiveObject " + "Source " + se.Source + "Error : " + se.Message; return false; } catch (Exception e) { objRec = null; sErrMsg += "SocketClient.ReceiveObject " + "Source " + e.Source + "Error : " + e.Message; return false; } } private byte[] Combine(byte[] first, byte[] second) { byte[] ret = new byte[first.Length + second.Length]; Buffer.BlockCopy(first, 0, ret, 0, first.Length); Buffer.BlockCopy(second, 0, ret, first.Length, second.Length); return ret; } Error: mscorlibError : The input stream is not a valid binary format. The starting contents (in bytes) are: 68-61-73-43-68-61-6E-67-65-73-3D-22-69-6E-73-65-72 ... I don't know why its not working. I have lifted the Combine from a suggestion on here too, so I am pretty sure this is not doing the wrong thing? I hope someone can point out where I am going wrong

  • Guaranteed semaphore order?

    - by Steve_
The documentation for the .NET Semaphore class states that: There is no guaranteed order, such as FIFO or LIFO, in which blocked threads enter the semaphore. In this case, if I want a guaranteed order (either FIFO or LIFO), what are my options? Is this something that just isn't easily possible? Would I have to write my own Semaphore? I assume that would be pretty advanced? Thanks, Steve

  • PHP Equivalent of Java Type-Casting Solution

    - by stjowa
Since PHP has no custom-class type-casting, how would I go about doing the PHP equivalent of this Java code: CustomBaseObject cusBaseObject = cusBaseObjectDao.readCustomBaseObjectById(id); ((CustomChildObject) cusBaseObject).setChildAttribute1(value1); ((CustomChildObject) cusBaseObject).setChildAttribute2(value2); In my case, it would very nice if I could do this. However, trying this without type-casting support, it gives me an error that the methods do not exist for the object. Thanks, Steve

  • XVal validation framework

Hi, I started using this validation framework: http://blog.stevensanderson.com/2009/01/10/xval-a-validation-framework-for-aspnet-mvc/ Steve mentions that the DataAnnotationsValidationRunner implementation is slightly naive. Why is this and are there better implementations? I am also looking for a good example that uses this framework to validate database dependent business rules. Any pointers would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Christian

  • Conceal packet loss in PCM stream

    - by ZeroDefect
I am looking to use 'Packet Loss Concealment' to conceal lost PCM frames in an audio stream. Unfortunately, I cannot find a library that is accessible without all the licensing restrictions and code bloat (...up for some suggestions though). I have located some GPL code written by Steve Underwood for the Asterisk project which implements PLC. There are several limitations; although, as Steve suggests in his code, his algorithm can be applied to different streams with a bit of work. Currently, the code works with 8kHz 16-bit signed mono streams. Variations of the code can be found through a simple search of Google Code Search. My hope is that I can adapt the code to work with other streams. Initially, the goal is to adjust the algorithm for 8+ kHz, 16-bit signed, multichannel audio (all in a C++ environment). Eventually, I'm looking to make the code available under the GPL license in hopes that it could be of benefit to others... Attached is the code below with my efforts. The code includes a main function that will "drop" a number of frames with a given probability. Unfortunately, the code does not quite work as expected. I'm receiving EXC_BAD_ACCESS when running in gdb, but I don't get a trace from gdb when using 'bt' command. Clearly, I'm trampimg on memory some where but not sure exactly where. When I comment out the *amdf_pitch* function, the code runs without crashing... int main (int argc, char *argv[]) { std::ifstream fin("C:\\cc32kHz.pcm"); if(!fin.is_open()) { std::cout << "Failed to open input file" << std::endl; return 1; } std::ofstream fout_repaired("C:\\cc32kHz_repaired.pcm"); if(!fout_repaired.is_open()) { std::cout << "Failed to open output repaired file" << std::endl; return 1; } std::ofstream fout_lossy("C:\\cc32kHz_lossy.pcm"); if(!fout_lossy.is_open()) { std::cout << "Failed to open output repaired file" << std::endl; return 1; } audio::PcmConcealer Concealer; Concealer.Init(1, 16, 32000); //Generate random numbers; srand( time(NULL) ); int value = 0; int probability = 5; while(!fin.eof()) { char arr[2]; fin.read(arr, 2); //Generate's random number; value = rand() % 100 + 1; if(value <= probability) { char blank[2] = {0x00, 0x00}; fout_lossy.write(blank, 2); //Fill in data; Concealer.Fill((int16_t *)blank, 1); fout_repaired.write(blank, 2); } else { //Write data to file; fout_repaired.write(arr, 2); fout_lossy.write(arr, 2); Concealer.Receive((int16_t *)arr, 1); } } fin.close(); fout_repaired.close(); fout_lossy.close(); return 0; } PcmConcealer.hpp /* * Code adapted from Steve Underwood of the Asterisk Project. This code inherits * the same licensing restrictions as the Asterisk Project. */ #ifndef __PCMCONCEALER_HPP__ #define __PCMCONCEALER_HPP__ /** 1. What does it do? The packet loss concealment module provides a suitable synthetic fill-in signal, to minimise the audible effect of lost packets in VoIP applications. It is not tied to any particular codec, and could be used with almost any codec which does not specify its own procedure for packet loss concealment. Where a codec specific concealment procedure exists, the algorithm is usually built around knowledge of the characteristics of the particular codec. It will, therefore, generally give better results for that particular codec than this generic concealer will. 2. How does it work? While good packets are being received, the plc_rx() routine keeps a record of the trailing section of the known speech signal. If a packet is missed, plc_fillin() is called to produce a synthetic replacement for the real speech signal. The average mean difference function (AMDF) is applied to the last known good signal, to determine its effective pitch. Based on this, the last pitch period of signal is saved. Essentially, this cycle of speech will be repeated over and over until the real speech resumes. However, several refinements are needed to obtain smooth pleasant sounding results. - The two ends of the stored cycle of speech will not always fit together smoothly. This can cause roughness, or even clicks, at the joins between cycles. To soften this, the 1/4 pitch period of real speech preceeding the cycle to be repeated is blended with the last 1/4 pitch period of the cycle to be repeated, using an overlap-add (OLA) technique (i.e. in total, the last 5/4 pitch periods of real speech are used). - The start of the synthetic speech will not always fit together smoothly with the tail of real speech passed on before the erasure was identified. Ideally, we would like to modify the last 1/4 pitch period of the real speech, to blend it into the synthetic speech. However, it is too late for that. We could have delayed the real speech a little, but that would require more buffer manipulation, and hurt the efficiency of the no-lost-packets case (which we hope is the dominant case). Instead we use a degenerate form of OLA to modify the start of the synthetic data. The last 1/4 pitch period of real speech is time reversed, and OLA is used to blend it with the first 1/4 pitch period of synthetic speech. The result seems quite acceptable. - As we progress into the erasure, the chances of the synthetic signal being anything like correct steadily fall. Therefore, the volume of the synthesized signal is made to decay linearly, such that after 50ms of missing audio it is reduced to silence. - When real speech resumes, an extra 1/4 pitch period of sythetic speech is blended with the start of the real speech. If the erasure is small, this smoothes the transition. If the erasure is long, and the synthetic signal has faded to zero, the blending softens the start up of the real signal, avoiding a kind of "click" or "pop" effect that might occur with a sudden onset. 3. How do I use it? Before audio is processed, call plc_init() to create an instance of the packet loss concealer. For each received audio packet that is acceptable (i.e. not including those being dropped for being too late) call plc_rx() to record the content of the packet. Hi, i need someone to help me. I need a xaml with animated ellipses like the ones shown here:http://www.telerik.com/products/silverlight/chart.aspx They are to act as hotspot indicators on my map. What i have below is a xaml that i was trying to do but the circles don't center and have no fed-in/fade-out effect. May somebody help me please. How do I go about using HTTPS for some of the pages in my ASP.NET MVC based site? Steve Sanderson has a pretty good tutorial on how to do this in a DRY way on Preview 4 at: http://blog.codeville.net/2008/08/05/adding-httpsssl-support-to-aspnet-mvc-routing/ Is there a better / updated way with Preview 5?,

  • Is it possible to view the "source" for a ksh function?

    - by stevec
Our ksh environment defines several functions, which can be listed using then "functions" ksh function. Is it possible to see the definition (ie source code) for these functions? This seems like an obvious question, but I've tried all manner of parameters to the "functions" and "function" functions with no luck. Thanks, Steve

  • Do you have any tips for commenting code?

    - by Rob Wells
G'day, I've read both of Steve McConnell's excellent Code Complete books "Code Complete" and "Code Complete 2" and was wondering if people have any other suggestions for commenting code.co My commenting mantra could be summed up by the basic idea of expressing "what the code below cannot say". While enjoying this interesting blog post by Jeff about commenting I was still left wondering "When coding, when do you feel a comment is required?"

  • Search for multiple values in an xml column

    - by Yuriy Gettya
    Environment: SQL Server 2012. Primary and secondary (value) index is built on xml column. Say I have a table Message with xml column WordIndex. I also have a table Word which has WordId and WordText. Xml for Message.WordIndex has the following schema: <xs:schema attributeFormDefault="unqualified" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="http://www.example.com"> <xs:element name="wi"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" name="w"> <xs:complexType> <xs:sequence> <xs:element maxOccurs="unbounded" name="p" type="xs:unsignedByte" /> </xs:sequence> <xs:attribute name="wid" type="xs:unsignedByte" use="required" /> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> </xs:schema> and some data to go with it: <wi xmlns="http://www.example.com"> <w wid="1"> <p>28</p> <p>72</p> <p>125</p> </w> <w wid="4"> <p>89</p> </w> <w wid="5"> <p>11</p> </w> </wi> I need to search for multiple values in my xml column WordIndex either using OR or AND. What I'm doing is fairly rudimentary, since I'm a n00b in XQuery (taken from debug output, hence real values): with xmlnamespaces(default 'http://www.example.com') select m.Subject, m.MessageId, m.WordIndex.query(' let $dummy := 0 return <word_list> { for $w in /wi/w where $w/@wid=64 return <word wid="64" pos="{data($w/p)}"/> } { for $w in /wi/w where $w/@wid=70 return <word wid="70" pos="{data($w/p)}"/> } { for $w in /wi/w where $w/@wid=63 return <word wid="63" pos="{data($w/p)}"/> } </word_list> ') as WordPosition from Message as m -- more joins go here ... where -- more conditions go here ... and m.WordIndex.exist('/wi/w[@wid=64]') = 1 and m.WordIndex.exist('/wi/w[@wid=70]') = 1 and m.WordIndex.exist('/wi/w[@wid=63]') = 1 How can this be optimized?

  • Who are the most important people in open-source software? [closed]

    - by poseid
I am reading a book by Malcolm Gladwell on the circumstances of successful careers. The book argues that Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Bill Joy and more succesful computer pioneers were born between 1950-1955, and did absolve around 10000 hours of practice before microcomputers became widely available in the 1970s and their fairy tale success story begins. As we are in the age of web 2.0 with new forms of databases and persuasive access to information, who are in your opinion the most succesful computer programmers or scientists of our times, when were they born and to which technologies they had access?

  • Paperclip: delete attachment and "can't convert nil into String" error

I'm using Paperclip and here's what I do in the model to delete attachments: def before_save self.avatar = nil if @delete_avatar == 1.to_s end Works fine unless @delete_avatar flag is set when the user is actually uploading the image (so the model receives both params[:user][:avatar] and params[:user][:delete_avatar].
