  • JQuery, Load() contents with plugins

    I know this is not a completely new question, but none of the answers solved my problem... I have built a little menu that uses load() to load image galleries (as external html files) into a specified div ("content"). The said galleries make use of a JQuery plugin (SlideJS). Now I know that load() does not work for script tags and that I need to use $.getscript in the callback function in order to run the scripts, but it does not work. I have two .js files that need to be loaded: one is the plugin itself and another one is a smaller script with a preloader and the animations for the captions. I can't seem to merge them together; if I put them into the same document, the script won't run. So I tried just using $.getscript to load the two files. I tried using two callbacks as suggested in other answer (I know it's not ideal...): $("#proposal").click(function(){ $(this).addClass('selected'); $("a:not(:#proposal)").removeClass('selected'); $("#content").load("works/proposal/proposal.html", function(){ $.getScript("js/slide.js", function (){ $.getScript("js/slidepage.js"); }); }); }); and I tried a variable (read about it in some other faq, not sure if the syntax is correct) $("#proposal").click(function(){ $(this).addClass('selected'); $("a:not(:#proposal)").removeClass('selected'); $("#content").load("works/proposal/proposal.html", function(){ var scripts = ['js/slide.js','js/slidepage.js']; $.getScript(scripts); }); }); So none of these work. What am I doing wrong? I'm just starting on jquery and my js knowledge is very limited. Should I just merge the two .js files together using minify or something? One of them is already minified, but I've tried with a non-minified version and it does not work either. Can anyone suggest any other solution around this problem? I thought of just having the div embedded in the main document and just showing it on click, but I'll have at least 4 galleries with about 8 to 10 images each... its a lot of images to load in the main page, so I don't think its the best way. if you need me to post any more code, please ask!   • Does anyone know of a good .Net VoIP library.

    I have been searching for ages now for a good .Net based VoIP library. After having tried conaito and SIP.Net I have still haven't found anything that truly fits my needs. Basically all of these are constructed using ActiveX. Unfortunately ActiveX and WPF don't play well together. And ClickOnce Deployment doesn't register Interop COM components. I need to find a good, pure .Net managed code implementation.

  • Links from Google appending index.php to my URL

    I recently put up a site and I have been doing some SEO. However I noticed that links from Google search append index.php to my links. For example a site page which clearly appears as www.example.com/index/why on search together with correct content sample when clicked on ends up in the new browser as www.example.com/index.php/why Note that on my site all links are redirected to SSL and I use the MVC stucture. Any directives that am may be missing?

    I have table "PICKITEM" PARTID QTY A 1 A 3 B 11 C 8 D 5 D 3 I need a select statement that will return one line for like PARTIDs and add the qty field to together, yet also return the rest of the lines in the table as is PARTID QTY A 4 B 11 C 8 D 8 Probably a newb question, but I am new to SQL syntax and queries.   • I know I'm doing something wrong with RaiseCanExecuteChanged and CanExecute

    Well after fiddling with MVVM light to get my button to enable and disable when I want it to... I sort of mashed things together until it worked. However, I just know I'm doing something wrong here. I have RaiseCanExecuteChanged and CanExecute in the same area being called. Surely this is not how it's done?   • Including different code for other home screen replacement screens

    I have put together a Skin for OpenHome but have since ran across AHome code for their IPhone theme and was wondering that if I included for AHome their Dock_Bg or widget_drawer among other things which is not on OpenHome that the Launcher for the respective screen replacement would just call the items it uses.I want to keep the mb as low as I can but reach more handsets.I can just make seperate ones but see many that include even Freshface as well as OpenHome and AHome.

    I am attempting to write a regular expression to process a string of key value(s) pairs formatted like so KEY/VALUE KEY/VALUE VALUE KEY/VALUE A key can have multiple values separated by a space. I want to match a keys values together, so the result on the above string would be VALUE VALUE VALUE VALUE I currently have the following as my regex [A-Z0-9]+/([A-Z0-9 ]+)(?:(?!^[A-Z0-9]+/)) but this returns VALUE KEY as the first result.

The best solution I have for this is to create three database tables as follows: UserTable user_id user_name UserGroupLink group_id member_id GroupInfo group_id group_name This method keeps the member and group information separate. This is just my way of thinking. Is there a better way to do this? Also, what is a good naming convention for tables that link two other tables?

As I understand in order to succeed doing so, App Engine needs to know in advance which entities will be updated together, so it knows to store them in a way that supports transactions. And therefore, user must declare that an entity belongs to the same entity group as another entity when you create the entity.
