  • How do I use beta Perl modules from beta Perl scripts?

    If my Perl code has a production code location and "beta" code location (e.g. production Perl code us in /usr/code/scripts, BETA Perl code is in /usr/code/beta/scripts; production Perl libraries are in /usr/code/lib/perl and BETA versions of those libraries are in /usr/code/beta/lib/perl, is there an easy way for me to achieve such a setup? The exact requirements are: The code must be THE SAME in production and BETA location. To clarify, to promote any code (library or script) from BETA to production, the ONLY thing which needs to happen is literally issuing cp command from BETA to prod location - both the file name AND file contents must remain identical. BETA versions of scripts must call other BETA scripts and BETA libraries (if exist) or production libraries (if BETA libraries do not exist) The code paths must be the same between BETA and production with the exception of base directory (/usr/code/ vs /usr/code/beta/) I will present how we solved the problem as an answer to this question, but I'd like to know if there's a better way.

  • .htaccess rewrite rule to add a string in the middle of the URL

    Using a .htaccess rewrite rule, I need to add "?q=" before the path on any URL's containing the word "imagecache" Therefore, if the URL is: http://mysite.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/myimage.jpg ...then it will really try: http://mysite.com/?q=sites/default/files/imagecache/myimage.jpg But that will ONLY happen if the URL contains "imagecache." Otherwise, it does no rewriting. Also, this will only happen if /sites/default/files/imagecache/myimage.jpg isn't already an existing image file. I believe I can do that using: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f ...right? It's just the first part that I can't figure out.

    I've added a submit button inside a fieldgroup on a CCK form using hook_form_alter as follows: function mymodule_form_alter(&$form, $form_state, $form_id) { if ($form_id == 'object_node_form') { $form['group_wikipedia']['search'] = array( '#type' => 'submit', '#value' => t('Search Wikipedia'), '#name' => 'searchwiki', '#submit' => array('mymodule_searchwiki_submit'), ); } } When I press the button, the validation handlers for the full form eg. checks for required fields, run as though I have pressed the 'Submit' button at the end of the form. I thought that changing the #name property from 'op' to 'searchwiki' would prevent this kind of mix-up, but not so. Does anyone know a workaround for this?

    Hello I am working on a website that has a wide range of content. (News, FAQs, tutorials, blog, articles, product pages etc.) Currently a lot of this content is static or uses special-purpose scripts. I would like to move most of it under the wing of a single content manager. I have not used out of the box content management software previously so am hoping for some recommendations on what options there are and what might be best suited to a project like this. Whether the manager is open source or commercial, and what language it is written in, are not so important. I can customize the environment as necessary. The most important things are: 1) The ability to manage a wide variety of content. 2) The ability to create highly customized templates for a single page of content or entire category of content. 3) Flexibility. ie The ability to integrate managed content with other pages not controlled by the content manager. You are told that each line in 'ColCheckMe' has 7 columns, and that the values in the 5th column are integers. Using shell functions indicate how you would verify that these conditions are satisfied in 'ColCheckMe' if In the same file, each value in column 1 is unique. How would I verify that? Also how to write a shell function that counts the number of occurrences of the word “SpecStr” in the file 'ColCheckMe' I tried the first part which checks for the valid number of field and checks the 5th field being integer field. nawk ' NF != 7 { printf("[%d] has invalid [%d] number of fields\n", FNR, NF) } $5 !~ /^[0-9]+$/ { printf("[%d] 5th field is invalid [%s]\n", FNR, $5) }' ColCheckMe now i wanna verify in the same file if the value in column 1 is unique.     I want to keep track of all items added to uber cart. I.e. Whenever someone clicks ADD TO CART, I want to: create a database entry of the time and item added. This way I can see which items are most clicked on. The logic to add it to a db etc is easy to do. What I need to know is, how do I plug into the "add to cart" part. I.e. How do I know when this has been clicked?

I was able to create menu items at the same time as the nodes, and they appeared in the correct menu, but not in the correct place in the hierarchy. What am I missing?

To reiterate the question, I would like to have my base classes to have an automatic logging mechanism so if the user does not do anything I get some reasonable logging but if the user of my class needs/wants to overwrite it they can.

  • Help with ActiveX Install? Merge Modules - Windows Vista and Windows 7

    I'm building an ActiveX control installer in VS2008 which uses both the CRT and MFC merge modules to install. When my control tries to register on Windows 7 it fails. Dependency Walker says I'm missing the mfc90u.dll, msvcr90.dll and msvcp90.dll dependencies when trying to register my control and the install fails. Are the merge modules supposed to take care of this? My output OCX is being registered with the vsdrpCOMSelfReg option. From what I am reading on other forums, this might not be the best method, what should I try at this point? Install works fine on Windows XP.

Meaning solutions that are either more readable or faster(optimized) or simply best-practice. Current solution: multiple tables selected, many conditional statements: SELECT u.userID AS memberid, u.name AS first_name, pv1.value AS fname, pv2.value as lname FROM users AS u, profile_values AS pv1, profile_values AS pv2, WHERE u.userID = pv1.userID AND pv1.fid = 3 AND u.userID = pv2.userID AND pv2.fid = 45; Thanks for the help!
