  • Getting scp's status bar to appear in a Java window

    - by pete
I'm writing a program that uses scp to copy files in a bigger java program. As it stands now, the program freezes up while the scp is copying the file, which can take a few minutes, so I'd like to be able to display the progress of the scp or at the very least get the terminal window with the scp progress to show up! Any suggestions?

  • ModX navigation menu with "wayfinder" snippet

    - by user1219432
I have a main navigation at the top of the site. And a subnavigation at left of my site. For example: At the top there are these topics: Cars | Trees | Jobs | ... So when you click on "Jobs" there should be the subnavigation of "Jobs" at left, like... Construction Jobs Engineering Jobs Retail Jobs ... The first (top) navigation is easy to achieve: [[!Wayfinder? &startId=0 &level=1 ]] How can I realize the second navigation, so that only the documents are listed that are under the parent document?

  • Which trick uses Apple to show icons in the dock contextual menu ?

    - by Matthieu Riegler
My question is quite simple : To use a custom menu for the apps icon on the dock, - (NSMenu*) applicationDockMenu: (id) sender; of the NSApplicationDelegate has to return the menu that the dock will display. Using setImage on a NSMenuItem, you can normaly add icons to the menu. They show up on the normal menu, but not on in contextual menu of the app's dock icon. Then how did Apple manage QuickTime, XCode, Preview to show icons in the list of recent opened files accessible in their dock contextual menu ? Thx.

  • Creating a popup tool bar in a full screen NSOpenGLView (OSX Cocoa)

    - by Mike2012
I have a Cocoa app in which one of my NSOpenGLViews can go into full screen mode (I do this with the method enterFullScreenMode:withOptions:). I would like to create a little widget that when you mouse over it, a toolbar pops up with some different controls. I am wondering what would be the best way to implement this widget? At first I thought about using a panel but I don't think you can bring up any windows when in full screen mode. Also, it seems that you can't add a subview to an NSOpenGLView? Are these two assumptions correct? What else could I use to accomplish this?

  • Simplify my menu animation code

    - by zaius
I've got a bunch of 'project' divs that I want to expand when they're clicked on. If there's already a project open, I want to hide it before I slide out the new one. I also want to stop clicks on an already open project from closing and then opening it again. Here's an example of what I mean (warning - wrote the code in the browser): $('.projects').click(function() { var clicked_project = $(this); if (clicked_project.is(':visible')) { clicked_project.height(10).slideUp(); return; } var visible_projects = $('.projects:visible'); if (visible_projects.size() > 0) { visible_projects.height(10).slideUp(function() { clicked_project.slideDown(); }); } else { clicked_project.slideDown(); } }); Really, my big issue is with the second part - it sucks that I have to use that if/else - I should just be able to make the callback run instantly if there aren't any visible_projects. I would think this would be a pretty common task, and I'm sure there's a simplification I'm missing. Any suggestions appreciated!

  • Javascript for removing menu and scroll bars

    - by nWight
Hi - I have this script on my html page: parent.resizeTo(550,510); I'd like to add to it so it positions the window in the middle of the screen. Also, I want to remove the address and tool bars (I've managed to hide the scrollbars by using body{overflow:hidden;}). I know how to do this using JS upon opening a new window from the browser but this needs to work from clicking a link on a PDF. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

  • Wordpress Menu item

  • What Is The Formula for the 3 of 9 Bar Code Alphabet?

    - by Chris Moschini
Background: 3 of 9 Barcode Alphabet A simple syntax for 3 of 9 bar codes What is the formula behind the alphabet and digits in a 3 of 9 bar code? For example, ASCII has a relatively clear arrangement. Numbers start at 33, capitals at 65, lowercase at 97. From these starting points you can infer the ASCII code for any number or letter. The start point for each range is also a multiple of 32 + 1. Bar codes seem random and lacking sequence. If we use the syntax from the second link, this is the first six characters in 3 of 9: A 100-01 B 010-01 C 110-00 D 001-01 E 101-00 F 011-00 I see no pattern here; what is it? I'm as much interested in the designer's intended pattern behind these as I am in someone devising an algorithm of their own that can give you the above code for a given character based on its sequence. I struggled with where to put this question; is it history, computer science, information science? I chose Programmers because a StackExchange search had the most barcode hits here, and because I wanted to specifically relate it to ASCII to explain what sort of formula/explanation I'm looking for.

  • Telerik window automatically opens after every page refresh

    - by CSharpDev4Evr
I am using Telerik RadControls in my project and and have a menu where I have an 'About' button. When I click the 'About' button a window pops up describing the application. The problem is if I refresh the page or navigate to another page then back to the first page the window automatically pops up. The goal is only have that window pop up when the user clicks the about button. here is the code I used to get that window: <!--About Window--> <telerik:RadWindowManager runat="server" EnableViewState="false" KeepInScreenBounds="true"></telerik:RadWindowManager> <telerik:RadWindow ID="AboutMenu" Behaviors="Close" Animation="None" runat="server" Width="360px" KeepInScreenBounds="true" Height="360px" Modal="true" VisibleStatusbar="false" Skin="Glow"> <ContentTemplate> <p style="text-align: center;">Sample Window Information</p> </ContentTemplate> </telerik:RadWindow> Javascript function OnClientItemClick(sender, eventArgs) { if (window.args.get_item().get_text() == "About") { var radwindow = window.$find(window.AboutMenu.ClientID); window.args.set_cancel(true); } } .cs protected void MainMenu_OnItemClick(object sender, RadMenuEventArgs e) { if (e.Item.Text == "About") { AboutMenu.VisibleOnPageLoad = true; } } The window works but it loads whenever the page loads and thats where I think the line AboutMenu.VisibleOnPageLoad = true comes into play and is causing the error but when I take out that line it won't display at all.

  • Implementing java FixedTreadPool status listener

    - by InsertNickHere
Hi there, it's about an application which is supposed to process (VAD, Loudness, Clipping) a lot of soundfiles (e.g. 100k). At this time, I create as many worker threads (callables) as I can put into memory, and then run all with a threadPool.invokeAll(), write results to file system, unload processed files and continue at step 1. Due to the fact it's an app with a GUI, i don't want to user to feel like the app "is not responding" while processing all soundfiles. (which it does at this time cause invokeAll is blocking). Im not sure what is a "good" way to fix this. It shall not be possible for the user to do other things while processing, but I'd like to show a progress bar like "10 of 100000 soundfiles are done". So how do I get there? Do I have to create a "watcher thread", so that every worker hold a callback on it? I'm quite new to multi threading, and don't get the idea of such a mechanisem.. If you need to know: I'm using SWT/JFace. Regards, InsertNickHere

  • How to open new view (call an activity) from options menu defined in XML? (android)

    - by Portablejim
I cant seem to open a new view from an options menu item. The program keeps crashing as it applies the intent and listener to the item. I am just beginning, so please be nice. The current view is mnfsms, and the view I am trying to open is mnfsms_settings. I am developing for 1.5. Could someone please help me get the menu working. • Placing a window near the system tray

    - by user227990
I am writing a program that needs to set a window just above/below the traybar for gtk. I have tried using the 2 approaches that failed. One was using the gtk_status_icon_position_menu function and placing the window in the point where the user clicks (in the tray bar). The problem is that these solutions work in gnome(Linux) but not in Windows. In Linux they work because the window manager doesn't seem to allow placement of windows in the tray panel, honoring the closest possible. In Windows this doesn't happen and the window can go "out" of the screen which understandably is not desired. With this said i went out for a work around. My idea was to set the window in the location of mouse click and get the x and y coordinates of a normal window placement and with it's size check if it would be within the screen boundaries. If it was not make the correction. I have came up with the functions needed but for some reason the gdk_drawable_get_size(window-window ,&WindowWidth, &WindowHeight) and other similar functions only give the correct size value after the second run of the signal function. The result of the first run is just 1 to both size and width. (I have read the issue of X11 not giving correct results, but i think this is not it) event_button = (GdkEventButton *) event; if (event_button->button == 1) { if (active == 0) { gboolean dummy; gint WindowHeight, WindowWidth, WindowPosition[2]; GdkScreen *screen; gint ScreenHeight, ScreenWidth; dummy = FALSE; gtk_widget_show_all(window); gtk_window_present(GTK_WINDOW(window)); gtk_status_icon_position_menu(menu, &pos[X], &pos[Y], &dummy, statusicon); gtk_window_move(GTK_WINDOW(window), pos[X],pos[Y]); gdk_drawable_get_size(window->window ,&WindowWidth, &WindowHeight); screen = gtk_status_icon_get_screen(statusicon); ScreenWidth = gdk_screen_get_width(screen); ScreenHeight = gdk_screen_get_height(screen); g_print("Screen: %d, %d\nGeometry: %d, %d\n",ScreenWidth, ScreenHeight, WindowWidth, window->allocation.height); gtk_entry_set_text(GTK_ENTRY(entry),""); active = 1; return TRUE; } How can i do what i want in a portable way?

  • Cocoa nextEventMatchingMask not receiving NSMouseMoved event

    - by Jonny
Hello, I created a local event loop and showed up a borderless window (derived from NSPanel), I found in the event loop there's no NSMouseMoved event received, although I can receive Mouse button down/up events. What should I do to get the NSMouseMoved events? I found making the float window as key window can receive the NSMouseMoved events, but I don't want to change key window. And it appears this is possible, because I found after clicking the test App Icon in System Dock Bar, I can receive the mousemoved events, and the key window/mainwindow are unchanged. Here's the my test code: (Create a Cocoa App project names FloatWindowTest, and put a button to link it with the onClick: IBAction). • Animated background image in a hidden <div> doesn't load or loads not animated

    - by Guanche
    Hello, I have spent the whole day trying to make a script which on "submit" hides the form and shows hidden with animated progress bar. The problem is that Internet Explorer doesn't show animated gif images in hidden divs. The images are static. I visited many websites and found a script which uses: document.getElementById(id).style.backgroundImage = 'url(/images/load.gif)'; Finally, my script works in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera but... Google Chrome doesn't display the image at all. I see only div text. After many tests I discovered the following: the only way to see the background image in Google Chrome is to include the same image somewhere in the page (outside of hidden div) with 1px dimensions: <img src="/images/load.gif" width="1" heigh="1" /> This did the trick but... after this dirty solution Microsoft Explorer for some reason shows the image as static again. So, my question is: is there any way how to force Gogle Chrome to show the image? Thanks. This is my script: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> function ver (id, elementId){ if (document.getElementById('espera').style.visibility == "visible") { return false; }else{ var esplit = document.forms[0]['userfile'].value.split("."); ext = esplit[esplit.length-1]; if (document.forms[0]['userfile'].value == '') { alert('Please select a file'); return false; }else{ if ((ext.toLowerCase() == 'jpg')) { document.getElementById(id).style.position = 'absolute'; document.getElementById(id).style.display = 'inline'; document.getElementById(id).style.visibility = "visible"; document.getElementById(id).style.backgroundImage = 'url(/images/load.gif)'; document.getElementById(id).style.height = "100px"; document.getElementById(id).style.backgroundColor = '#f3f3f3'; document.getElementById(id).style.backgroundRepeat = "no-repeat"; document.getElementById(id).style.backgroundPosition = "50% 50%"; var element; if (document.all) element = document.all[elementId]; else if (document.getElementById) element = document.getElementById(elementId); if (element && element.style) element.style.display = 'none'; return true; }else{ alert('This is not a jpg file'); return false; } } } } </script> <div id="frmDiv"> <form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="/upload.php" method="post" name="upload3" onsubmit="return ver('espera','frmDiv');"> <input type="hidden" name="max_file_size" value="4194304" /> <table border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="2" width="100%"> <tr bgcolor="#f5f5f5"> <td>File (jpg)</td> <td> <input type="file" name="userfile" class="upf" /></td></tr> <tr bgcolor="#f5f5f5"> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td> <input class="upf2" type="submit" name="add" value="Upload" /> </td></tr></table></form> </div> <div id="espera" style="display:none;text-align:center;float:left;width:753px;">&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;<br />Please wait...<br />&nbsp; </div>

  • CSS: Horizontal UL: Getting it centered

I'm trying to make a horizontal menu/list. It has a mix of independent buttons and buttons that are wrapped in their own individual forms. But it only appears in menu, when I run it from terminal like tahir@StoneCode:~$ skype-wrapper Starting skype-wrapper /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gobject/constants.py:24: Warning: g_boxed_type_register_static: assertion `g_type_from_name (name) == 0' failed import gobject._gobject INFO: Initializing Skype API INFO: Waiting for Skype Process INFO: Attaching skype-wrapper to Skype process INFO: Attached complete When I quit the terminal, skype disappear from messaging menu. So I need to run skype-wrapper instead of skype and need to add it in startup? Or any other work around? I followed this tutorial. Restart also does not help. Thanks.

  • How to access the Quick Link / Admin Menu in Windows 8 using touch?

    - by it depends
In Windows 8 and Windows RT you can right-click in the bottom-left corner to access a menu of commonly used desktop links. You can access the same menu with the keyboard using Windows+X. Is there a way to access this menu using touch? I have a Surface RT and have tried a number of gestures in the corner (e.g., press and hold, swipe down) on both the Desktop and the Start Screen without any luck.

  • Does gwibber in Maverick work with the "me menu?"

    - by Roland Taylor
Currently if I try to post from the me menu, it just keeps the text I have entered. Is this a known bug? Or do I have to downgrade gwibber? I'm using the ppa version of gwibber. Is it possible for this version to work with the memenu? UPDATE: I still have not gotten an answer as such :( - so I'm updating the question. If I try to post from the me menu the text is grayed out, and it doesn't send my post when I hit enter.

  • .htaccess non-www to www rule seems to work but the URL isn't changing in the address bar

    - by SnakeByte
On a joomla site, apache, shared hosting, I'm using next .htaccess rule: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] The problem is that the browser's address bar text does not change from example.com to www.example.com. It seems the redirect actually works because all the links on the pages are changed to www. And after clicking on any link from there it always continues to have www added. The problem is the first page (no matter which one) that is loaded using browser's address bar - like example.com or example.com/random-page. Solved. The redirect actually works.
