  I have the following code: <select> <option value="0">Option 0</option>. <option value="1">Option 1</option> <option value="2">Option 2</option> </select> When you click on select I wish the first item to be no longer listed. Also it must work on all browsers. How can this be done? Thanks.

  I met some trouble with a function I have written. In fact I have an array in which I have different custom values.   I have a button placed inside a listbox item and i have style defined fro that button where i have two images and on mouse hover i change the image. Now the problem is I am handling the listbox mouse event and when click the button the listbox mouse event doesn't fires. I tried to make the property of button ishittestvisisble=false And now if i click on button the listbox mouse event fires but the problem is the two images placed inside the styling of button don't apply as they are the child of button and by default their ishittestvisible also turn out to be false. So any suggestion or idea will be helpfull ....tx in advance...

  I want to select and group the products, and rank them by the number of times they occur. For example, I have an OrderList each of order object has a OrderProductVariantList(OrderLineList), and each of OrderProductVariant object has ProductVariant, and then the ProductVariant object will have a Product object which contains product information. A friend helped me with the following code. It could be compiled, but it did not return any value/result. I used the watch window for the query and it gave me "The name 'query' does not exist in the current context". Can anyone help me? I'm using VS publish system, and on publish, new files are not published until I include them in the project. I would like to auto include all files in specified directory. Is there a way to specify wich directories should be auto-included in csproj file or anywhere else?

• TFS2010 - How can you change the "State" for a Task?

  We are using Tasks to track individual development items and the "out of the box" configuration gives us only 2 states - Active and Closed. We would like to change it to: Assigned In Development In Test Ready for Production Closed (In Production) Any ideas on how to accomplish this? We've been through everything in the Admin site. I fine changing it in the DB if necessary but am not sure what should be changed - or if it is even in the DB. TIA

  Anyone have any idea why shuffle() would only return 1 item? when using: $array2 = shuffle($array1); with the following array($array1): Array ( [0] => 1 [1] => 5 [2] => 6 [3] => 7 [4] => 8 [5] => 10 [6] => 11 [7] => 12 [8] => 13 [9] => 14 ) The output of: print_r($array2); is simply: 1 Any idea as to why it would not only not shuffle the array, but knock off the remaining 9 items in the array? thanks!

  I wanted to make a ListView where the items have two pressable pieces, like the layouts that show up in a couple of places in the stock Android phone/contacts application: I have the layout working fine, including handling events from each piece separately, except for a visual issue when the smaller piece is pressed. In my application the smaller piece only gets a small ellipse for the background when it is pressed, like this: Note that is actually not my application - that is NubDial, but my application has the same problem. Since NubDial uses the exact same XML layout as the phone app, I'm not sure how relevant the list item layouts are, but here they are anyway: Contacts list: contacts_list_item.xml NubDial: contacts_list_item.xml Does anybody know what might be happening there?

  I have a solution with 2 projects: My Application 1.2.54 (C# WinForms) My Application Setup 1.0.0.0 (WiX Setup) I would like to add a post-build event to the WiX Setup project to run a batch file and pass it a command line parameter of My Application's assembly version number. The code may look something like this: CALL MyBatchFile.bat "$(fileVersion.ProductVersion($(var.My Application.TargetPath)))" But this results in the following error: Unhandled Exception:The expression """.My Application" cannot be evaluated. The web.config section replacement works fine when built manually, but when built as part of a TFS build the section is not replaced. I cannot find any errors or warnings in the build log. • Cocoa : Remove Item from NSArrayController

  I have a NSArrayController bound to a NSTableView. With this I have the typical Add/Remove buttons. While Adding an item is very straight forward (I call a method, create an object with default values and add it) I have problems deleting objects from the controller. I know I can do this the easy way when connecting the button with the remove action from the ArrayController. But this is not what I want. I need to remove the object manually because I have some additional code to process. Anway, removing objects seems far more complcated then I expected. It already tried: NSArray *items = [doToItemsArrayController selectedObjects]; [doToItemsArrayController removeSelectedObjects:items]; or NSIndexSet *iSet = [doToItemsArrayController selectionIndexes]; [doToItemsArrayController removeSelectionIndexes:iSet]; None of them seems to work. How do I remove the selected Object from an NSArrayController with Objective-C code?

  I have come across a strange problem in one of our applications on win2k8/Vista x64 with UAC enabled. It is a process which hosts the UI for our service and runs in the context of the logged on user. When logged in as a domain user who is a member of the "Administrators" group, writing to the registry under HKLM fails due to UAC with access denied. But when logged in as the local "Administrator" account (non-domain) then writing to the registry succeeds. Both accounts are adminstrators - is there a distinction between domain and non-domain accounts with UAC? What gives?

• CSS/HTML: Highlighting the "full width avaialble" to a list item

  I'm working on a website for a small law office. In the side-menu, I'm trying to highlight the "current page". I have tried changing the background of the LI, but this doesn't quite do the trick; the list item doesn't spread to the full width of the menu, so it looks bad. Here's a jfiddle. I would like the yellow section to highlight like the pink section is highlighted: filling up the full vertical and horizontal space, not just highlighting the text. Any suggestions on how to do this? I've included the style tag in the html just for example, obviously, and my real solution will be a little different when it's done. But I can't move forward until I figure out how to somehow highlight the entire line.

• All Targets Not Being Called (nested Targets not being executed)

  I am using a two TARGET files. On one TARGET file I call a TARGET that is inside the second TARGET file. This second TARGET then calls another TARGET that has 6 other TARGET calls, which do a number of different things (in addition to calling other nested TARGETS (but inside the same TARGET file)). The problem is that, on the TARGET where I call 6 TARGETS, only the first one is being executed. The program doesnt find its way to call the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th TARGET. Is there a limit to the number of nested TARGETS that can be called and run? Nothing is failing. The problem is the other TARGET calls are not running. Thanks for any help you can provide. • C2360 compiler error on TFS build, but not on desktop

  A c++ code snippet similar to the code below caused our TFS build to fail with a C2360 compiler error. switch (i) { case 0 : for each (int n in a) System::Console::WriteLine(n.ToString()); break; case 1 : System::Console::WriteLine("n is not in scope here"); break; } This is fixed by using {} brackets within the body of case 0, as below: switch (i) { case 0 : { for each (int n in a) System::Console::WriteLine(n.ToString()); } break; case 1 : System::Console::WriteLine("n is not in scope here"); break; } The developer had successfully compiled the code on their desktop before committing the changes. A cursory look at versions of things like compilers, Visual Studio etc on the server and desktop suggest they are the same. The source code is the same, obviously. What is the difference between a desktop build and TFS build that would smother a compiler error like this?

  Hey guys, let's say I have a sorted list of Floats. Now I'd like to get the index of the next lower item of a given value. The usual for-loop aprroach has a complexity of O(n). Since the list is sorted there must be a way to get the index with O(log n). My O(n) approach: index=0 for i,value in enumerate(mylist): if value>compareValue: index=i-1 Is there a datatype for solving that problem in O(log n)? best regards Sebastian

  I am trying to put In App purchase in my application. I had setup a consumable product which was working fine in Sandbox environment. Now i just made a new product which is non-consumable with new price tier, and deleted the old one. Update my code, with the new Product ID. When request is sent, it properly shows the right Product with newly added price tier, But when you tap on Buy button it gives you the error "The item you tried to buy is no longer available [Environment: Sandbox]". Any idea ?

• Conditionally embed ASP.NET MVC2 Views as resources during build in Visual Studio 2010

  I have a ASP.NET MVC2 project in VS2010 that can be deployed in two modes: standalone or plugin. In standalone mode, the views should live outside the compiled assembly as .aspx files (the default setup). In plugin mode, the views are switched (currently by hand) to embedded resources and the entire assembly is dropped into a host project folder. Currently, this requires the developer to go through each view and switch it from Build Action: "Content" to "Embedded Resource" and vice versa. I would like to create a new solution configuration to automatically grab all .aspx files and build them as resources. This SO post seems like the solution, but I would prefer not to have to edit the .csproj every single time I add a new view to the project. Is there a way to use a wild cards or some other batch/global conditionally statement to change resources from content to embedded?

• Xap file contents changes if built in Visual Studio or build server

  I'm using MEF with my Silverlight 4 app to dynamically load xap files. To optimize this process, I've removed various assemblies from my xaps since I know they've already been loaded by the base xap. This reduces the size of my dynamically loaded xaps. I accomplished this by setting the "Copy Local" flag for each assembly reference to "false". This all seems to work fine when I build in Visual Studio 2010 - my xaps are much smaller. However, when the same projects are built by the build server, all the excluded references are once again in the xap file hence tripling the size of the xap. I've read several blogs/articles regarding similar experiences but no resolution. Very frustrating - any help is appreciated.

• Can I override DropLocation target to avoid network latency?

  In Team Build 2008, the Drop Location for a build is no longer specified in the .proj file, and instead is stored in the database and maintained in the GUI tool. The GUI tool only accepts a network path as a drop location (i.e. \\server\share) and will not accept a local path. Our build server also hosts the dropped files, so it seems that forcing a file copy operation to go through the network share introduces a lot of lag time when copying a large number of files. I would like to override this feature so that I can specify a local directory for drop location, but I can't figure out how.
