  I need to load the module pcspkr to Linux kernel often by sudo modprobe pcspkr. It sometimes happens that something goes totally wrong such that I cannot stand the amount of decibels in my speakers.   I am one of those people who hate to have even one unnecessary program installed. I noticed when I downloaded and installed itunes two other components were installed and shows up in my control panel Uninstall programs screen: "Bonjour" and "Apple Mobile Device Support". Are these two necessary for itunes to work? I never buy songs via itunes, just use the program to transfer smp3s to my ipod.

  I have made a mess of my Dreamhost slice and want to know if there's a way to clean install/fresh install/wipe everything and start over? Is there a shell script to do this or would I have to do it through the Dreamhost admin panel or even contact Dreamhost to get them to do it for me?   Is it possible to prevent or disable autorun/autoplay/device-stage by modifying regedit? Because of some constraints, I cannot disable by Control Panel options. I found some related questions here, for example, and some solutions provided by Microsoft, mainly involving this key on regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\NoDriveTypeAutorun But none of these solutions worked, neither after rebooting. Is there any other key or value that controls this kind of property?

• How to fix a bad case rattle

  I have a full sized ATX case with several fans, including one on the door/removable side. This fan makes the "door" rattle or vibrate loudly when the fan runs at full speed, such as at startup. I can stop the rattle temporarily by placing my hand on the "door", or pushing an object next to it. Do you have any suggestions for a permanent solution? Note: The "door" in question is a slide out panel with two twist screws at the back to hold it in.

  I've got Win2008 R2 64bit installed on Dell R410 server with 8GB of RAM. Dell Open Manage shows 8GB total and 4GB available for use, In Windows Control Panel, System i see 64bit and 8GB of RAM while in Windows Task Manager at Performance tab there is 4GB of memory available. Dell support has made some checks and told me that if BIOS shows 8Gb of RAM and indeed BIOS does then it's operational system issue. Tried to search online for resolution but none found. Please help, thanks

  Hello, I tried to login into a cpanel account that hasn't been accessed for a few months and discovered that my login details no longer worked. When I reset the password and gained access into my domains control panel, my email password also didn't work. Upon that first attempt I was given a message reading "Brute force attempt..." • Why does my monitor have a black screen but the power light is blinking green?

  I have a ViewSonic VA912b 19" display I use as a secondary monitor. When I turn it on, the power light is green for a few seconds, and then switches to blinking green. The display stays black. Windows thinks the monitor is on, as it shows up in the control panel as a second monitor. If I unplug the DVI cable, it displays a "No Signal" message and the power light goes to amber, which means it went to sleep.

In Windows 8.1, the desktop display DPI scale can be set via the control panel (pictured below), taking effect immediately. Alternatively, the scale can be set manually in the registry, but doing so requires that the user sign in and out or restart the machine in order to take effect (and only works to imitate the "one scaling level for all my displays" option). • What could cause a program to stay in "Add/Remove Programs" even after removing from registry

  Trying to manually remove an entry from Control Panel Add/Remove Programs. (custom software, not MS KB patch or windows component and not doing anyting 'funky' like trying to stop itself form being uninstalled) Followed http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314481 removing all applicable registry keys for program from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ and even tried rebooting but still it persists. Double checked followed KB314481 and search for program name doesn't return any other matches in that part of the registry. Any ideas what would cause this or how to solve?

  Is there a way to use rdesktop or another Linux client to connect to a server that requires Network Level Authentication? From Windows Server 2008 R2 -- Control Panel -- System And Security -- System -- Allow Remote Access there is an option that says "Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication". So with this enabled I can con not connect from Linux. I can connect from XP but you need SP3 and I had to edit a couple of things in the registry for it to work.

  I want to create recovery media (DVD or HDD) for my Windows 7 running on my VAIO laptop. I noticed that my HDD is already having 13.51 GB partition which is labelled as "Recovery Partition" (not visible in My Computer but visible in Computer management tool in control panel).
