  • Is there a way to sort by more than one field in Crystal Reports?

    I'm using Crystal Report with VB.NET in Visual Studio 2005. I have report that works if I pass in a list of List(Of Stuff). I had been sorting the report by one of the members of Stuff but a need now to sort first by one member, like Stuff.StatusCode and then by another member, like Stuff.ItemNumber. Can I do this just be having more than one SortField member, or do I need to do it some other way? Thanks as always!

I define this field as a shared_ptr in the message layer. But how can I convert this field back to shared_ptr in client B? Or should I define shared_ptr in message layer as something else? Thanks

You can assume that most essays will be at least 200 words, are unlikely to be more than 5000 words, and are in English (or the pseudo-English sometimes called "business-ese"). You can also classify anything you want as a "word" as long as your classification would be immediately obvious to a typical user. (NB: this is not the place to debate what a "typical user" is :) )

  • How do I display a field's hidden characters in the result of a query in Oracle?

    I have two rows that have a varchar column that are different according to a Java .equals(). I can't easily change or debug the Java code that's running against this particular database but I do have access to do queries directly against the database using SQLDeveloper. The fields look the same to me (they are street addresses with two lines separated by some new line or carriage feed/new line combo). Is there a way to see all of the hidden characters as the result of a query?I'd like to avoid having to use the ascii() function with substr() on each of the rows to figure out which hidden character is different. I'd also accept some query that shows me which character is the first difference between the two fields.

However, since there is no ID column, I can't say: SELECT * FROM big_table ORDER BY id DESC What SQL statement would show me the last 10 rows of this table? The structure of the table is simply this: columns are: A, B, C, D, ..., AA, AB, AC, ... (like Excel) all fields are of type TEXT

    I've got a form with two fields, firstname and lastname. The user does not have to fill in the fields. When the user clicks the submit button, a jquery dialog displays with the data the user entered in the form. I only want to show the data for the fields that were entered. I'm trying to do an if statement and use the length() function but it isn't working. Help would be great!   • treat mysql longtext as integer in query

    I have a set field in my db that is longtext. I have used prices in this field and cannot change the field type to integer. In my query however I need to sort by these fields and assume I should treat them as an integer. is there another way to query these results to sort by price as an integer and not longtext without having to change the field type? at the moment 3900000 is smaller than 4300 in my result set.

Right now, I capture a few items, some of which are: Automatic: Name of app that crashed Version of app that crashed Stack trace Operating System version RAM used by the application Number of processors Screen shot: (Only on non-public applications) User name and contact information (from Active Directory) Manual: What context is the user in (i.e.: what company, tech support call number, RA number, etc...) When did the user expect to happen? (Typical response: "Not to crash”) Steps to reproduce. What other bits of information do you capture that helps you discover the true cause of an applications problem, especially given that most users simply mash the keyboard when asked to tell you what happened. For the record I’m using C#, WPF and .NET version 4, but I don’t necessarily want to limit myself to those.   • What is the precision of the priority field in sitemap.xml?

    Unfortunately the specification does not tell anything about precision. The xml scheme definition states that it is of the type xsd:decimal: <xsd:restriction base="xsd:decimal"> <xsd:minInclusive value="0.0"/> <xsd:maxInclusive value="1.0"/> </xsd:restriction> I have a sitemap generator that uses up to 10 positions after decimal point. Where often only the last few positions differ. These numbers are perfectly right according to the xsd, but yet i found some pages(3,4) that state that only 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, .., 1.0 are valid values. How will the search engines react to such a sitemap? Will some just round the value? I know that it is unlikely that someone can provide an answer to that question, unless he works for that search engine, but i think experiences will also do.

    I have the following models: class Foo(models.Model): field1 = models.IntegerField() ... class Bar(models.Model): field1 = models.IntegerField() ... class Foo_bar(models.Model): foo = models.ForeignKey(Foo) bar = models.ForeignKey(Bar) ... In the admin, I want it so that in the Foo change/add page, you can specify a Bar object, and on save I want to create a Foo_bar object to represent the relationship. How can I do this through customizing the Admin site/ModelAdmins? Thanks.
