This snippet of code I plan on loading via AJAX, so I really all I need it to output is a blank html document consisting only of these three items. I realize I am omitting the xsl:output tag and that is because I really don't understand how I can get this to just simply match that information to my tags in my xml without adding , tags etc. All it outputs is a string of text in an html document.

I'm trying to solve wordEnds from codingbat.com using regex. This is the simplest as I can make it with my current knowledge of regex: public String wordEnds(String str, String word) { return str.replaceAll( String.format( ".*?(?=%s)(?<=(.|^))%1$s(?=(.|$))|.+", java.util.regex.Pattern.quote(word) ), "$1$2" ); } String.format is used to inject word into the pattern for both readability and convenience (it's injected twice). Pattern.quote isn't necessary to pass their tests, but I think it's required for a proper regex-based solution. The regex has two major parts: If after matching as few characters as possible ".*?", word can still be found "(?=%s)", then lookbehind to capture any character immediately preceding it "(?<=(.|^))", match word "%1$s" and lookforward to capture any character following it "(?=(.|$))". The initial "if" test ensures that the atomic lookbehind captures only if there's a word Using lookahead to capture the following character doesn't consume it, so it can be used as part of further matching Otherwise match what's left "|.+" Groups 1 and 2 would capture empty strings I think this works in all cases, but it's obviously quite complex. I'm just wondering if others can suggest a simpler regex to do this. Note: I'm not looking for a solution using indexOf and a loop. I want a regex-based replaceAll solution. I also need a working solution that I can just copy-paste into codingbat and passes.

In my core data model I have a Person entity that has a "to many" relationship a Course entity (I also have an inverse "to one" relationship from Course to Person). Now I have a subclassed UITableViewController that uses a NSFetchedResultsController to display Person objects which works fine. I have this set up so that when you click on a Person it publishes another subclassed UITableViewController that uses a NSFetchedController as well to display the Courses associated to the person. PROBLEM: I get this exception whenever I click on the Person and attempt to display the Course UITableViewController ... "Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'keypath name not found in entity <NSSQLEntity Course id=2>'" Any ideas on how to resolve or troubleshoot? The code between the two ViewControllers is almost identical except for the NSFetchedResultsController being configured for "Person" entities in one and "Course" entities in another

Problem trying to install PyCurl on Mac Snow Leopard

Hi, My app needs to use PyCurl, so i tried to install it on my Mac but i found a lot of problems and error :( Requirement: First of all i've to say that the version of Python working on my Mac is 32 bit based, because i need to use WxPython, that needs 32 bit Python. NodeJS and node-mongodb-native

Just getting started with node, and trying to get the mongo driver to work. Looking for ideas for a simple pattern matching algorithm to run on a microcontroller

I'm working on a project to recognize simple audio patterns. I have two data sets, each made up of between 4 and 32 note/duration pairs. One set is predefined, the other is from an incoming data stream. The length of the two strongly correlated data sets is often different, but roughly the same "shape". My goal is to come up with some sort of ranking as to how well the two data sets correlate/match. I have converted the incoming frequencies to pitch and shifted the incoming data stream's pitch so that it's average pitch matches that of the predefined data set. I also stretch/compress the incoming data set's durations to match the overall duration of the predefined set. Is there any form of short-time Fourier transform with corresponding inverse transform built into SciPy or NumPy or whatever? There's the pyplot specgram function in matplotlib, which calls ax.specgram(), which calls mlab.specgram(), which calls _spectral_helper(): #The checks for if y is x are so that we can use the same function to #implement the core of psd(), csd(), and spectrogram() without doing #extra calculations. We return the unaveraged Pxy, freqs, and t. I'm not sure if this can be used to do an STFT and ISTFT, though. Is there anything else, or should I translate something like this?

Need help modifying C++ application to accept continuous piped input in Linux

The goal is to mine packet headers for URLs visited using tcpdump. So far, I can save a packet header to a file using: tcpdump "dst port 80 and tcp[13] & 0x08 = 8" -A -s 300 | tee -a ./Desktop/packets.txt And I've written a program to parse through the header and extract the URL when given the following command: cat ~/Desktop/packets.txt | ./packet-parser.exe But what I want to be able to do is pipe tcpdump directly into my program, which will then log the data: tcpdump "dst port 80 and tcp[13] & 0x08 = 8" -A -s 300 | ./packet-parser.exe Here is the script as it is. LookAhead Regex in .Net - unexpected result

Hello, I am a bit puzzled with my Regex results (and still trying to get my head around the syntax). I have been using http://regexpal.com/ to test out my expression, and its works as intended there, however in C# its not as expected. Here is a test - an expression of the following: (?=<open>).*?(?=</open>) on an input string of: <open>Text 1 </open>Text 2 <open>Text 3 </open>Text 4 <open>Text 5 </open> I would expect a result back of <open>Text1 <open>Text 2 <open>Text 3... etc However when I do this in C# it only returns the first match of <open>Text1 How do I get all five 'results' back from the Regex? Unable to run Ajax Minifier as post-build in Visual Studio.

Verify the parameter exists on the task, and it is a settable public instance property. fourier transform to transpose key of a wav file

I want to write an app to transpose the key a wav file plays in (for fun, I know there are apps that already do this)... my main understanding of how this might be accomplished is to 1) chop the audio file into very small blocks (say 1/10 a second) 2) run an FFT on each block 3) phase shift the frequency space up or down depending on what key I want 4) use an inverse FFT to return each block to the time domain 5) glue all the blocks together But now I'm wondering if the transformed blocks would no longer be continuous when I try to glue them back together. Are there ideas how I should do this to guarantee continuity, or am I just worrying about nothing?

Problem with logicalOR ( regex ) not greedy

This is the part of a string "21xy5". I want to insert " * " surrounded with whitespace between: digit and letter, letter and digit, letter and letter. I use this regex pattern "\d[a-z]|[a-z]\d|[a-z][a-z]" to find indexs where I gona insert string " * ". Problem is that when regex OR(|) in string 21xy5 trays to match 21-x|x-y|y-5, when first condition 21-x success, second x-y is not checked, and third success. So I have 21 * xy * 5 instead 21 * x * y * 5. If input string is like this xy21, then x-y success and then I have x * y21. Problem is that logical OR is not greedy. Mpi function define

I wrote a program in c using MPI (Message Passing Inteface) that compute recursively the inverse of a lower triangular matrix. Every cpu sends 2 submatrices to other two cpus, they compute them and they give them back to the cpu caller. When the cpu caller has its submatrices it has to perform a matrix multiplication. In the recurrence equation the bottle neck is matrix multiplication. I implemented parallel multiplication with mpi in c but i'm not able to embed it into a function. Is it possible? thanks, Simone

MVC2 and jquery.validate.js

I am experiencing some confusion with jquery.validate.js First of all, what is MicrosoftMvcJqueryValidation.js. It is referenced in snippets on the web but appears to have dissapeared from the RTM MVC2 and is now in futures. Do I need it? The reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to use the validator with MVC and I can't get it to work. NHibernate Legacy Database Mappings Impossible?

I'm hoping someone can help me with mapping a legacy database. The problem I'm describing here has plagued others, yet I was unable to find a real good solution around the web. DISCLAIMER: this is a legacy DB. I have no control over the composite keys. They suck and can't be changed no matter much you tell me they suck. I have 2 tables, both with composite keys. One of the keys from one table is used as part of the key to get a collection from the other table. In short, the keys don't fully match between the table. ClassB is used everywhere I would like to avoid adding properties for the sake of this mapping if possible. public class ClassA { //[PK] public string SsoUid; //[PK] public string PolicyNumber; public IList<ClassB> Others; //more properties.... } public class ClassB { //[PK] public string PolicyNumber; //[PK] public string PolicyDateTime; //more properties } I want to get an instance of ClassA and get all ClassB rows that match PolicyNumber. I am trying to get something going with a one-to-many, but I realize that this may technically be a many-to-many that I am just treating as one-to-many. I've tried using an association class but didn't get far enough to see if it works. I'm new to these more complex mappings and am looking for advice. I'm open to pretty much any ideas. Thanks, Corey

I have been expeirmenting with Watir, Nokogir and Hpricot. All of these use top-down approach which is my problem. i.e. they use element type to search element. I want to find out the element using the text without knowing element type. e.g. <element1> <element2> Text2 </element2> <element3> Text3 </element3> text4 </element1> I want is to get element2 and element1 etc by searching for Text2 and Text3. Please note that I do not know if elements are divs or tr/tds or links etc. I just know the text. Algorithem should be something like : iterated through all the elements, match inner text, if match get me the element and the parent element. Let me kow if this is possible in any way?

How can I convert a projection that's not part of spatial_ref_sys?

Hi, I'm importing shapefiles into a Postgres+PostGIS database. Here's my usual procedure: * Find an srid in the spatial_ref_sys table where srtext appears to match the shapefile's .prj file * Upload the data into a new table using the shp2pgsql utility, specifying the srid using the -s flag * Add the new table to my main geometry table, and on the way convert to an srid of 4269 (the Census standard projection) using ST_Transform Unfortunately, the spatial_ref_sys table doesn't include Mississippi state's standard projection. I tried this command: ogr2ogr -update -f "PostgreSQL" PG:"Connection details" "File name.shp" -t_srs EPSG:4269 -nln Table_Name I am now getting the error "Terminating translation prematurely after failed translation of layer" -- which seems to indicate that ogr2ogr is not going to be the savior I imagined in getting arbitrary .prj files neatly into the 4269 projection. Any ideas about what to do?

Soft Paint Bucket Fill: Colour Equality

I'm making a small app where children can fill preset illustrations with colours. I've succesfully implemented an MS-paint style paint bucket using the flood fill argorithm. However, near the edges of image elements pixels are left unfilled, because the lines are anti-aliased. This is because the current condition on whether to fill is colourAtCurrentPixel == colourToReplace (the colours are RGB uints) I'd like to add a smoothing/treshold option like in Photoshop and other sophisticated tools, but what's the algorithm to determine the equality/distance between two colours? if (match(pixel(x,y), colourToReplace) setpixel(x,y,colourToReplaceWith) How to fill in match()? How to avoid an HttpException due to timeout

I'm working on a website powered by .NET asp/C# code. The clients require that sessions have a 25 minute timeout. However, sometimes the site is used, and a user stays connected for long periods of time (longer than 25 mins). Session_End is triggered: protected void Session_End(Object sender, EventArgs e) { Hashtable trackingInformaiton = (Hashtable)Application["trackingInformation"]; trackingInformaiton.Remove(Session["trackingID"]); } The user returns some time later, but when they interact with the website, they get an error, and we get this email notification: User: Unauthenticated User Error: System.Web.HttpException Description: Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request... The telling part of the stack trace is System.Web.UI.Control.AddedControl. Apparently, the server has thrown away the session data, and is sending new data, but the client is trying to deal with old data. Hence the error that "the control tree into which viewstate is being loaded [doesn't] match the control tree that was used to save the viewstate during the prevoius request." So here's the question. How can I force instruct the user's browser to redirect to a "you're logged out" screen when the connection times out? (Is it something I should add to the Session_End method?)
