I have used hql hour function but that does not work if the timestamp corresponds to different date. Please provide any input. My hql query is select count(*) from com.xxx.Request as request where request.id = :id and hour(current_timestamp - request.lastEventDate) :delay Thanks Shekhar

  • How to split the story in indesing markup language

    - by BBDeveloper
Hi All, I am learning indesign, I have a doubt in story splitting... I want to split the story if the same story is used in two different text frames, I am extracting idml file and getting the needed data. My question is, I have a single story which is used by two text frames (Threaded text), and these two textframes are available in two different spreads. Story.xml contains full story, half of the story is displayed in 1st textframe, next half is displayed in 2nd textframe and the same story ID is referred in both the textframes. Now I want to split this story into two, so I want to know that how much content of the story is added in 1st and 2nd textframe, I think if I find that how many characters or words or lines present in each textframe then it will easy to split the story. We can determine the word and character count using the following steps in indesign CS4 Place the insertion point in a text frame to view counts for the entire thread of frames (the story), or select text to view counts only for the selected text. Choose Window Info to display the Info panel. Is there any property or attribute in idml (xml files like prefrence.xml or story.xml or spread.xml) to find out the number of characters/words/lines of single textframe. Can anyone help me to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.

  • CodeBlocks, GCC: change project language c and c++?

    - by user394242
When I select console project to start with, it lets you select c or c++, but once its created.. i can't figure out where to change it, and when you create a win32 gui application, it doesn't give you the option at all, and its default is c++.. where can i change to c? i have been looking in all the project settings for AGES. renaming my file from cpp to .c doesn't seem to do anything, it compiles the file as cpp. i know that without the ide, you just change your exe from g++ to gcc, but how do i set this for the current project in codeblocks?

  • Blackberry development on scripting language ?

    - by zvr
From what I've seen, the preferred way to develop Blackberry applications is Java. Is this the only way? I'm dreaming of a rapid application environment where you can create GUIs (using the Blackberry UI components). Something like a port of Tcl/Tk on Blackberry... or Python/Tkinter... or something new, but similar. Does something like that exist ? (I doubt it) Can something like that exist ? (i.e., given the money, is it feasible/reasonable/...)

  • Avoiding Mixup of Language Details

    - by DarenW
Today someone asked me what was wrong with their source code. It was obvious. "Use double equals in place of that single equal in that if statement. Um, i think..." As i remember some languages actually take a single equals for comparison. Since i sometimes forget or mix up the syntax details among the several languages i use, i stepped over to my laptop to try a quickie experiment... It costs a bit of time and is a break in the flow to try "quick" experiments (though maybe the practice is good for memory.) What tips do you have for keeping straight in your mind the syntax (and other) details of multiple languages? (And nowadays, this applies just as well to the many wiki-like markups!)

  • Can you help with this assembly language code?

    - by Mugen
Hi, I've been looking through a piece of code of a pc game that I'm trying to "improve". (ok so maybe I suck at the game but I still want to play it). Could you please look into the following code: fld dword ptr[ebp+00007B1C] fsub dword ptr[esp+64] fst dword ptr[ebp+00007B1C] call 004A2E48 This code is called every second for the level countdown timer. I need to stay on a particular level for a few minutes. If I can modify the above code so that the value pushed into the address [ebp+00007B1C] is 0 then the game level will always time out and it will save me playing those crazy "survival" minigames. I'll explain what I understand from this code. Dont worry, you dont have to go deep into this. In the first line we get the timer value. For example if 97 seconds are remaining then it is here that this value is loaded. In the second line a value (1 second) is subtracted from 97. In the third line 96 is again moved to memory. And finally we have the function call that will do other processing based on the time remaining. Now all I need to do is patch this piece of code somehow so that the value that is pushed is 0 (in the third step). Can you please help me out with this?

  • Object tree navigation language in Java

    - by lewap
In the system which I'm currently developing I often have to navigate an object tree and based on its state and values take actions. In normal Java this results in tedious for loops, if statements etc... Are there alternative ways to achieve tree navigation, similar to XPath for XML? I know there is JXPath and OGNL, but do you know any other libraries for such purpose? Do you know any libraries which generate bytecodes for specific tree navigation expressions to make the processing as fast as Java native fors and ifs?

  • Which language to learn

    - by Pmarcoen
I am fresh out of college, I'm pretty skilled in weblanguages like PHP, Perl, Javascript (JQuery). I have some basic skills in java, experienced c++ a little. People have been telling me c# is a good way to go because a lot of companies look for .NET developers. What would be a good next move for me ?

  • Creating a directory in linux assembly language

    - by Jayson Kane
I am trying to create a small assembly program to create a folder. I looked up the system call for creating a directory on this page: http://www.ctyme.com/intr/rb-8144.htm It says that it is identified by 27h. How would I go about implementing the "mkdir somename" in assembly? I am aware that the program should move 27 into eax but I am unsure where to go next. I have googled quite a bit and no one seems to have posted anthing about this online. This is my current code (I don't know in which register to put filename and so on) section .data section .text global _start mov eax, 27 mov ???????? .... int 80h Thanks

  • How to counter the "one true language" perspective?

    - by Rob Wells
How do you work with someone when they haven't been able to see that there is a range of other languages out there beyond "The One True Path"? I mean someone who hasn't realised that the modern software professional has a range of tools in his toolbox. The person whose knee jerk reaction is, for example, "We must do this is C++!" "Everything must be done in C++!" What's the best approach to open people up to the fact that "not everything is a nail"? How may I introduce them to having a well-equipped toolbox, selecting the best tool for the job at hand?

  • Classic assembly language texts not using x86?

    - by wrp
I'm looking for texts that give detailed treatment of assembly programming principles and don't use x86 as the target architecture. I haven't found any recent books like that, but I would expect that there were some good ones written in the 1970s and 1980s, when whole applications were still written in assembly. The architecture used should also be one of the cleaner designs, such as the 6502 or VAX.

  • Algorithm to Render a Horizontal Binary-ish Tree in Text/ASCII form

    - by Justin L.
It's a pretty normal binary tree, except for the fact that one of the nodes may be empty. I'd like to find a way to output it in a horizontal way (that is, the root node is on the left and expands to the right). I've had some experience expanding trees vertically (root node at the top, expanding downwards), but I'm not sure where to start, in this case. Preferably, it would follow these couple of rules: If a node has only one child, it can be skipped as redundant (an "end node", with no children, is always displayed) All nodes of the same depth must be aligned vertically; all nodes must be to the right of all less-deep nodes and to the left of all deeper nodes. Nodes have a string representation which includes their depth. Each "end node" has its own unique line; that is, the number of lines is the number of end nodes in the tree, and when an end node is on a line, there may be nothing else on that line after that end node. As a consequence of the last rule, the root node should be in either the top left or the bottom left corner; top left is preferred. For example, this is a valid tree, with six end nodes (node is represented by a name, and its depth): [a0]------------[b3]------[c5]------[d8] \ \ \----------[e9] \ \----[f5] \--[g1]--------[h4]------[i6] \ \--------------------[j10] \-[k3] Which represents the horizontal, explicit binary tree: 0 a / \ 1 g * / \ \ 2 * * * / \ \ 3 k * b / / \ 4 h * * / \ \ \ 5 * * f c / \ / \ 6 * i * * / / \ 7 * * * / / \ 8 * * d / / 9 * e / 10 j (branches folded for compactness; * representing redundant, one-child nodes; note that *'s are actual nodes, storing one child each, just with names omitted here for presentation sake) (also, to clarify, I'd like to generate the first, horizontal tree; not this vertical tree) I say language-agnostic because I'm just looking for an algorithm; I say ruby because I'm eventually going to have to implement it in ruby anyway. Assume that each Node data structure stores only its id, a left node, and a right node. A master Tree class keeps tracks of all nodes and has adequate algorithms to find: A node's nth ancestor A node's nth descendant The generation of a node The lowest common ancestor of two given nodes Anyone have any ideas of where I could start? Should I go for the recursive approach? Iterative?

  • Is there a declarative language for data definitions?

    - by Jekke
Reading about WPF and thinking about my application's data store at the same time led me to wonder if there are any languages or tools that allow you to define relational data in a declarative way? A shallow Google search suggests no such thing exists. Yet it seems so obviously useful. The kind of tool I have in mind would declaratively describe (at least) entities, relationships and views is a platform-agnostic way that would act as an abstraction layer between data-driven applications and their datastores. Does any such tool exist?

  • sort data in c language

    - by ANIL MANE
    Hello C experts, I need little help on following requirement, as I know very little about C syntaxes. I have data in a file like this 73 54 57 [52] 75 73 65 [23] 65 54 57 [22] 22 59 71 [12] 22 28 54 [2] 65 22 54 73 [12] 65 28 54 73 [52] 22 28 65 73 [42] 65 54 57 73 [22] 22 28 54 73 [4] Where values in bracket denotes the occurrence of that series. I need to sort this data based on the occurrence of the data descending with maximum elements on the top as follows 65 28 54 73 [52] 22 28 65 73 [42] 65 54 57 73 [22] 65 22 54 73 [12] 22 28 54 73 [4] 28 59 71 [122] 73 54 57 [52] 22 28 65 [26] .. . . . and so on... Can someone give me a quick code for this. Thanks in advance.

  • assembly language programming (prime number)

    - by chris
Prompt the user for a positive three digit number, then read it. Let's call it N. Divide into N all integer values from 2 to (N/2)+1 and test to see if the division was even, in which case N is instantly shown to be non-prime. Output a message printing N and saying that it is not prime. If none of those integer values divide evenly (remainder never is zero), then N is shown to be prime. Output a message printing N and saying that it is prime. Ask the user if he or she wants to test another number; if the user types "n" or "N", quit. If "y" or "Y", jump back and repeat. Comments in your code are essential. Hi. I am kinda in rush to do this.. please help me doing it. I'll be much appreciated. thank you

  • Complex queries using Rails query language

    - by Daniel Johnson
    I have a query used for statistical purposes. It breaks down the number of users that have logged-in a given number of times. User has_many installations and installation has a login_count. select total_login as 'logins', count(*) as `users` from (select u.user_id, sum(login_count) as total_login from user u inner join installation i on u.user_id = i.user_id group by u.user_id) g group by total_login; +--------+-------+ | logins | users | +--------+-------+ | 2 | 3 | | 6 | 7 | | 10 | 2 | | 19 | 1 | +--------+-------+ Is there some elegant ActiveRecord style find to obtain this same information? Ideally as a hash collection of logins and users: { 2=>3, 6=>7, ... I know I can use sql directly but wanted to know how this could be solved in rails 3.

  • Best web application language for Delphi Developers

    - by DelphiDev
I'm Delphi developer, and I would like to build few web applications, I know about Intraweb, but I think it's not a real tool for web development, maybe for just intranet applications so I'm considering PHP, Python or ruby, I prefer python because it's better syntax than other( I feel it closer to Delphi), also I want to deploy the application to shared hosting, specially Linux. so as Delphi developer, what do you choose to develop web application?
