  • Joomla, Drupal, DotNetNuke or something else for a sport club?

    I am setting up a web site for a football club and I am wondering which CMS to use. I am a developer but I am doing this as a favour to a friend and would rather grab something with modules in it (registration, events, calender, etc etc) already. I need to be able to customise it but I had a look around and Wordpress looks like a blogging tool. I am wondering if anyone has experience with the above or any others and if shed some light.   • Issue with Column footer and Summary bands on Jasper reports

    I am creating invoices with Jasper reports. I have a detail section that has the list of all items followed by a column footer which has Totals, Tax etc., and then the return policy in the Summary section. I want to always ensure that the detail is followed by column footer followed by summary bands. How can we ensure this? I found that sometimes the Summary comes before the Column footer.   • Has anyone tried the "objectify" library for Google App Engine?

    I was using JDO for my google app engine project but got fed up with the additional 5 seconds it adds to my cold start time. I was planning on just writing stuff directly to the database with the low level datastore api, but then I came accross the objectify project ( http://code.google.com/p/objectify-appengine/ ). Apparently its a super light wrapper above the low level api. Does anyone have experiences with this library that they could share?

It's size is near 2 MB. But before that I wanted to have views of experts on SO. Will it work with Hibernate? Actually, I am new to Hibernate and was studying that it requires a Dialect for a database so Is Hibernate has dialect for Derby?

  • Rails time zones

    I'm calling an external web service API that returns a timezone as listed in the Olson timezones database (e.g. "America/New_York"). However some of the values the API returned are "US/Pacific", "US/Eastern" and apparently don't match any of the Olson timezones in Rails 2.3.2. Can anyone shed some light on this?     Two (hopefully quick) questions about LaTeX: How do you number select functions? I'm working in a documentclass{article}, if that matters. I want to have certain functions numbered such as function1 function2 (1) function3 function4 (2) How do you make a sign to evaluate an integral? I know how to do brackets, but is it possible to only make one straight light to the right of the function with the bounds of integration? I can't figure out how to do that.

    I have a Windows CE console application that's entry point looks like this int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) I want to check the contents of argv[1] for "-s" convert argv[2] into an integer. I am having trouble narrowing the arguments or accessing them to test. I initially tried the following with little success if (argv[1] == L"-s") I also tried using the narrow function of wostringstream on each character but this crashed the application.
