  • GWT Browser mode debugging in IE not working

    I am trying to debug my GWT application in IE but the page does not load. It works fine in Firefox and Chrome. In IE the browser keeps hanging. If you debug a extremely simple page it works in IE. But complex pages do not open up in IE. Can someone help me out. Thankyou

  • What could cause "Connection Interrupted" on LocalHost when debugging in ASP.NET

    I'm trying to run a freshly created ASP.NET Website using C#, however when I do so it launches FireFox and attempts to connect to http://localhost:1295/WebSite1/Default.aspx (for example), but after about 10-15 seconds it displays a "Connection Interrupted - The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." Error. This issue is also present with older ASP.NET C# pages/Web Services I've built in the past, nothing is actually running off the ASP.NET Development server. I am using: Windows XP Pro SP2, Visual Studio 2008 For reference I have SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition installed as well. I have tried: Browsing it with IE instead of Mozilla Trying 2.0 framework instead of 3.5 Reinstalling Visual Studio 2008 This problem seems so trivial the more I think about it, but I havn't been able to work it out just yet! Appreciate any help on the matter.

    Hi guys, I used jQuery tools to create a tabs setup, and I would like to incorporate the fade effect, but when I try to do so, it bombs out, here is my code: $(function() { $("#flowtabs").tabs("#flowpanes > div", { history: true, effect: 'fade' }); }); I am assuming that it's because I am also enabling the tabs history? I have changed the expression in the regular expression validation property "validator expression" and after compiling (rebuild) and running, the validation CHANGEs are not reflecting. The previous validation is working fine but the changed validation is not working.   • A Python IDE with Debugging and iPython Integration?

    Does anyone know of a python IDE that has iPython as the interpreter? Using the standard interpreter just drives me nuts, as I've just grown to love using iPython and all the features it provides. To be honest, I'd rather code with a simple text editor + ipython than an IDE, but I love being able to set breakpoints with a click of a mouse, etc., so I'd like to combine both. Sorry if there's something out there and this is common knowledge. Any information/tips you can provide is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

    Is there a way to either disable Internet Explorer 8 Developer Tools, or at least change the shortcut key mapping? I'm working on an ASP.NET AJAX app that has used the F12 key for a function for years (it's actually a hold over from the original DOS app). I've got things up and running(ish), but I can't seem to figure out how to attach the instance of Visual Studio that has the MEF code in it to the instance of Visual Studio that is running the Web App. How can I attach my MEF code to the running process so that it hits my breakpoints?

  • OleDB connection only working when debugging

    I have a C# application that connects to a named SQL Express instance on the local machine using OleDBConnection: _connection = new OleDbConnection(_strConn); _connection.Open(); _strConn is something like this: "Provider=sqloledb;Data Source=.\NAMEDINSTANCE;Initial Catalog=dbname;User Id=sa;Password=password;" If I debug the application, the connection works fine. If I run the application from Windows Explorer (the same debug compilation), I get an "OleDBException: Login timeout expired" in the Open() line after 30 seconds. The strange thing is the exception happens even if I attach the debugger to the exe. I can see that the connection string is correct and everything seems fine. I can't fine any extra information in the SQL Express error log or SQL Activity Monitor either. If it helps, here is the exception: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: Login timeout expired at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnectionInternal..ctor(OleDbConnectionString constr, OleDbConnection connection) at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnectionFactory.CreateConnection(DbConnectionOptions options, Object poolGroupProviderInfo, DbConnectionPool pool, DbConnection owningObject) at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.CreateNonPooledConnection(DbConnection owningConnection, DbConnectionPoolGroup poolGroup) at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.GetConnection(DbConnection owningConnection) at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionClosed.OpenConnection(DbConnection outerConnection, DbConnectionFactory connectionFactory) at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.Open() I imagine that find the issue with the information I give here might be difficult, but I don't know where else to look or what other tests to do, so any ideas on what it could be or what test I could do to find out will be really appreciated.

  • Debugging kernel hang

    I am trying to run an app which is using a kernel mode driver. System locks up every hour and the only way to recover it is a hard reset. Sysrq stops responding, telnet sessions hang and there are no error messages of any kind. Unfortunately the board does not have ejtag support. I have been trying to isolate it functionally, but this is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Any suggestions? PS: This is a mips linux system (2.6.31).

Load Report: cv symbols & lines Does any body know what the error "CODEVIEW 31820, 0, 21160 [Debug data not mapped] - Can't validate symbols, if present." really mean?
