  • Modify POST vars before post, using jQuery

    - by aidan
    I have a form, and a submit handler in jQuery. When the user submits the form, I want to modify (add) some parameters to the POST request, before it is despatched from the client to the server. i.e. User clicks 'submit' My jQuery submit hander begins execution... I create some new key/value pairs and add them to the POST payload At the moment, it looks like my only options are to use $.post(), or $('form').append(' Thanks for any help.

  • ZendX_JQuery dialogContainer usage

    - by Kalle Johansson
    Hi ! I'm aming to make use of the ZendX_JQuery dialogContainer view helper, in order to produce a modal window, were users can input specified information(for example send a message). I'm trying to use the dialogContainer view helper in this fashion. First of, include the ZendX library in the applications library folder. Secondly, include the following row in the initViewHelper method within the Bootstrap.php file "$view-addHelperPath('ZendX/JQuery/View/Helper/', 'ZendX_JQuery_View_Helper');" third, adding the following conditional enabling of js in the layout.phtml "<?php if($this->jQuery()->isEnabled()){ $this->jQuery()->setLocalPath($this->baseUrl() .'/js/jquery/js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js') ->setUiLocalPath($this->baseUrl() .'/js/jquery/js/jquery-ui-1.8.custom.min.js') ->addStylesheet($this->baseUrl() .'/js/jquery/css/ui-lightness/jquery-ui-1.8.custom.css'); echo $this->jQuery(); } ?>" fourth, creating my Application_Form_JQueryForm extending ZendX_JQuery_Form "<?php class Application_Form_JQueryForm extends ZendX_JQuery_Form { private $form; public function init() { $this->form = $this->setAction(Zend_Controller_Front::getInstance()->getBaseUrl() . '/index/index') ->setMethod('post'); $this->form->setDecorators(array( 'FormElements', 'Form', array ('DialogContainer', array( 'id' => 'tabContainer', 'style' => 'width: 600px;', 'title' => 'Send a private message to Kalle', 'JQueryParams' => array( 'tabPosition' => 'top', ), )), )); $topic = new Zend_Form_Element_Text('topic'); $topic->setValue('topic') ->setRequired(true) ->setValidators(array('validators' => array( 'validator' => 'StringLength', 'options' => array(1,15) ))) ->setDecorators(array( 'ViewHelper', 'Description', 'Errors', array('HtmlTag', array('tag' => 'dl')))); $textarea = new Zend_Form_Element_Textarea('textarea'); $textarea->setValue('post a comment') ->setAttribs(array( 'rows' => 4, 'cols' => 20 )) ->setRequired(true) ->setValidators(array('validators' => array( 'validator' => 'StringLength', 'options' => array(1,15) ))) ->setDecorators(array( 'ViewHelper', 'Description', 'Errors', array('HtmlTag', array('tag' => 'dl')))); $submit = new Zend_Form_Element_Submit('submit'); $submit->setLabel('Send your comment') ->setDecorators(array( 'ViewHelper', 'Description', 'Errors', array('Description', array('escape' => false, 'tag' => 'span')), array('HtmlTag', array('tag' => 'dl')))) ->setDescription('or <a href="/index/index/send/false">Cancel</a>'); $this->form->addElements(array($topic, $textarea, $submit)); } }" This form is then instanciated in the controllers action method, and called in the view. And so to the problem of mine, no matter what i try, in order to for instance set, the width of the dialogContainer or any other parameter (color, css, height, so on and so forth), this being in the JQueryForm's setDecorator part for the form, i can't seem to get any change whatsoever in the resulting modal when called in the view, any help in the proper direction would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance, Kalle Johansson

  • Dojo: dojo onblur events

    - by Jane Wilkie
    Hi guys, I have a form setup with dojo 1.5. I am using a dijit.form.ComboBox and a dijit.form.TextBox The Combobox has values like "car","bike","motorcycle" and the textbox is meant to be an adjective to the Combobox. So it doesn't matter what is in the Combobox but if the ComboBox does have a value then something MUST be filled in the TextBox. Optionally, if nothing is in the ComboBox, then nothing can be in the TextBox and that is just fine. In fact if something isn't in the Combobox then nothing MUST be in the text box. In regular coding I would just use an onBlur event on the text box to go to a function that checks to see if the ComboBox has a value. I see in dojo that this doesn't work... Code example is below... Vehicle: <input dojoType="dijit.form.ComboBox" store="xvarStore" value="" searchAttr="name" name="vehicle_1" id="vehicle_1" /> Descriptor: <input type="text" dojoType="dijit.form.TextBox" value="" class=lighttext style="width:350px;height:19px" id="filter_value_1" name="filter_value_1" /> My initial attempt was to add an onBlur within the Descriptor's <input> tag but discovered that that doesn't work. How does Dojo handle this? Is it via a dojo.connect parameter? Even though in the example above the combobox has an id of "vehicle_1" and the text box has an id of "filter_value_1", there can be numerous comboboxes and textboxes numbering sequentially upward. (vehicle_2, vehicle_3, etc) Any advice or links to resources would be greatly appreciated. Janie

  • ASP.NET MVC 2: Mechanics behind an Order / Order Line in a edit form

    - by Dr. Zim
    In this question I am looking for links/code to handle an IList<OrderLine> in an MVC 2 edit form. Specifically I am interested in sending a complete order to the client, then posting the edited order back to an object (to persist) using: Html.EditorFor(m = m.orderlines[i]) (where orderlines is an enumerable object) Editing an Order that has multiple order lines (two tables, Order and OrderLine, one to many) is apparently difficult. Is there any links/examples/patterns out there to advise how to create this form that edits an entity and related entities in a single form (in C# MVC 2)? The IList is really throwing me for a loop. Should I have it there (while still having one form to edit one order)? How could you use the server side factory to create a blank OrderLine in the form while not posting the entire form back to the server? I am hoping we don't treat the individual order lines with individual save buttons, deletes, etc. (for example, they may open an order, delete all the lines, then click cancel, which shouldn't have altered the order itself in either the repository nor the database. Example classes: public class ViewModel { public Order order {get;set;} // Only one order } public class Order { public int ID {get;set;} // Order Identity public string name {get;set;} public IList<OrderLine> orderlines {get;set;} // Order has multiple lines } public class OrderLine { public int orderID {get;set;} // references Order ID above public int orderLineID {get;set;} // Order Line identity (need?) public Product refProduct {get;set;} // Product value object public int quantity {get;set;} // How many we want public double price {get;set;} // Current sale price }

  • ASP MVC: Submitting a form with nested user controls

    - by Nigel
    I'm fairly new to ASP MVC so go easy :). I have a form that contains a number of user controls (partial views, as in System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl), each with their own view models, and some of those user controls have nested user controls within them. I intended to reuse these user controls so I built up the form using a hierarchy in this way and pass the form a parent view model that contains all the user controls' view models within it. For example: Parent Page (with form and ParentViewModel) -->ChildControl1 (uses ViewModel1 which is passed from ParentViewModel.ViewModel1 property) -->ChildControl2 (uses ViewModel2 which is passed from ParentViewModel.ViewModel2 property) -->ChildControl3 (uses ViewModel3 which is passed from ViewModel2.ViewModel3 property) I hope this makes sense... My question is how do I retrieve the view data when the form is submitted? It seems the view data cannot bind to the ParentViewModel: public string Save(ParentViewModel viewData)... as viewData.ViewModel1 and viewData.ViewModel2 are always null. Is there a way I can perform a custom binding? Ultimately I need the form to be able to cope with a dynamic number of user controls and perform an asynchronous submission without postback. I'll cross those bridges when I come to them but I mention it now so any answer won't preclude this functionality. Many thanks.

  • how does hash element make a secure login on zend framework?

    - by ulduz114
    hello all i saw a example for login form same blow code class Form_Login extends Zend_Form { //put your code here public function init($timeout=360){ $this->addElement('hash', 'token', array( 'timeout' => $timeout )); $this->setName('Login'); $username = $this->createElement ( 'text', 'username' ); $username->setLabel('user name:') ->setRequired(); $this->addElement($username); $password=$this->createElement('password','password'); $password->setLabel('password:'); $password->setRequired(); $this->addElement($password); $login=$this->createElement('submit','login'); $login->setLabel('Login'); $this->addElement($login); $this->setMethod('post'); $this->setAction(Zend_Controller_Front::getInstance()->getBaseUrl().'/authentication/login'); } } and in submitAction a part code same below if (!$form->isValid($request->getPost())) { if (count($form->getErrors('token')) > 0) { return $this->_forward('csrf-forbidden', 'error'); } $this->view->form = $form; return $this->render('login'); } now , my question, whats the reason for use of hash element? how this hash element make secure login? anybody may help explain these? thanks

  • Convert JSON flattened for forms back to an object

    - by George Jempty
    I am required (please therefore no nit-picking the requirement, I've already nit-picked it, and this is the req) to convert certain form fields that have "object nesting" embedded in the field names, back to the object(s) themselves. Below are some typical form field names: phones_0_patientPhoneTypeId phones_0_phone phones_1_patientPhoneTypeId phones_1_phone The form fields above were derived from an object such as the one toward the bottom (see "Data"), and that is the format of the object I need to reassemble. It can be assumed that any form field with a name that contains the underscore _ character needs to undergo this conversion. Also that the segment of the form field between underscores, if numeric, signifies a Javascript array, otherwise an object. I found it easy to devise a (somewhat naive) implementation for the "flattening" of the original object for use by the form, but am struggling going in the other direction; below the object/data below I'm pasting my current attempt. One problem (perhaps the only one?) with it is that it does not currently properly account for array indexes, but this might be tricky because the object will subsequently be encoded as JSON, which will not account for sparse arrays. So if "phones_1" exists, but "phones_0" does not, I would nevertheless like to ensure that a slot exists for phones[0] even if that value is null. Implementations that tweak what I have begun, or are entirely different, encouraged. If interested let me know if you'd like to see my code for the "flattening" part that is working. Thanks in advance Data: var obj = { phones: [{ "patientPhoneTypeId": 4, "phone": "8005551212" }, { "patientPhoneTypeId": 2, "phone": "8885551212" }]}; Code to date: var unflattened = {}; for (var prop in values) { if (prop.indexOf('_') > -1) { var lastUnderbarPos = prop.lastIndexOf('_'); var nestedProp = prop.substr(lastUnderbarPos + 1); var nesting = prop.substr(0, lastUnderbarPos).split("_"); var nestedRef, isArray, isObject; for (var i=0, n=nesting.length; i<n; i++) { if (i===0) { nestedRef = unflattened; } if (i < (n-1)) { // not last if (/^\d+$/.test(nesting[i+1])) { isArray = true; isObject = false; } else { isArray = true; isObject = false; } var currProp = nesting[i]; if (!nestedRef[currProp]) { if (isArray) { nestedRef[currProp] = []; } else if (isObject) { nestedRef[currProp] = {}; } } nestedRef = nestedRef[currProp]; } else { nestedRef[nestedProp] = values[prop]; } } }

  • How to remember checkbox input in PHP Forms

    - by Derek
    For usability purposes I like to set up my form fields this way: <?php $username = $_POST['username']; $message = $_POST['message']; ?> <input type="text" name="username" value="<?php echo $username; ?>" /> <textarea name="message"><?php echo $message; ?></textarea> This way if the user fails validation, the form input he entered previously will still be there and there would be no need to start from scratch. My problem is I can't seem to keep check boxes selected with the option that the user had chosen before (when the page refreshes after validation fails). How to do this?

  • Link form correct, or, punishable by search engines?

    - by w0rldart
    I have the following dilemma with the links of a wordpress blog that I work with, I don't know if the way it creates the link to the images is ok or not so good. For example: Article URL: http://test.com/prima-de-riesgo/ Image URL belonging to the article: http://test.com/prima-de-riesgo/europa/ So what I'm worried about is the repeating "prima-de-riesgo" part. Should I, or shouldn't I? UPDATE Wow, I can't believe that you took test.com as for the real domain, hehe! Article URL: http://queaprendemoshoy.com/prima-de-riesgo-y-otras-graficas-interesantes-del-ano-2011-deuda-publica-pib-vs-empleo-y-precio-del-oro/ Image URL belonging to the article: http://queaprendemoshoy.com/prima-de-riesgo-y-otras-graficas-interesantes-del-ano-2011-deuda-publica-pib-vs-empleo-y-precio-del-oro/deuda-publica-eurozona/ So, as I mentioned... I'm worried that prima-de-riesgo-y-otras-graficas-interesantes-del-ano-2011-deuda-publica-pib-vs-empleo-y-precio-del-oro , the common factor for the article url and image url, can be considerate as duplicate content or anything that could be punishable by search engines

  • Common DataAnnotations in ASP.Net MVC2

    - by Scott Mayfield
    Howdy, I have what should be a simple question. I have a set of validations that use System.CompontentModel.DataAnnotations . I have some validations that are specific to certain view models, so I'm comfortable with having the validation code in the same file as my models (as in the default AccountModels.cs file that ships with MVC2). But I have some common validations that apply to several models as well (valid email address format for example). When I cut/paste that validation to the second model that needs it, of course I get a duplicate definition error because they're in the same namespace (projectName.Models). So I thought of removing the common validations to a separate class within the namespace, expecting that all of my view models would be able to access the validations from there. Unexpectedly, the validations are no longer accessible. I've verified that they are still in the same namespace, and they are all public. I wouldn't expect that I would have to have any specific reference to them (tried adding using statement for the same namespace, but that didn't resolve it, and via the add references dialog, a project can't reference itself (makes sense). So any idea why public validations that have simply been moved to another file in the same namespace aren't visible to my models? CommonValidations.cs using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Web; using System.ComponentModel; using System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations; using System.Text.RegularExpressions; namespace ProjectName.Models { public class CommonValidations { [AttributeUsage(AttributeTargets.Field | AttributeTargets.Property, AllowMultiple = true, Inherited = true)] public sealed class EmailFormatValidAttribute : ValidationAttribute { public override bool IsValid(object value) { if (value != null) { var expression = @"^[a-zA-Z][\w\.-]*[a-zA-Z0-9]@[a-zA-Z0-9][\w\.-]*[a-zA-Z0-9]\.[a-zA-Z][a-zA-Z\.]*[a-zA-Z]$"; return Regex.IsMatch(value.ToString(), expression); } else { return false; } } } } } And here's the code that I want to use the validation from: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Web; using System.ComponentModel; using System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations; using Growums.Models; namespace ProjectName.Models { public class PrivacyModel { [Required(ErrorMessage="Required")] [EmailFormatValid(ErrorMessage="Invalid Email")] public string Email { get; set; } } }

  • Creating Zend_Form elements from row html

    - by P.M
    Hi there, I am having an issue with Zend_Form and your help will be appreciated. in fact I have a class to generate categories as options $categories = My_Util_Category::toHtmlSelect();//for simplicity I removed other lines this code generates <select> <option > root</option> <option> root / children</option> </select> On another hand, I use Zend_Form form to edit categories. The code looks like: $form = My_Form_Category( $data, $selectElements = array() ); which outputs a form, text field, a select box for parent categories and a submit button. How can I get 'select element' from $form, and replace it with row html 'select' generated with $categories any help, or link will be appreciated. Thanks.

  • How can a Delphi TForm / TPersistent object calculate its own construction and deserialization time?

    - by mjustin
    For performance tests I need a way to measure the time needed for a form to load its definition from the DFM. All existing forms inherit a custom form class. To capture the current time, this base class needs overriden methods as "extension points": start of the deserialization process after the deserialization (can be implemented by overriding the Loaded procedure) the moment just before the execution of the OnFormCreate event So the log for TMyForm.Create(nil) could look like: - 00.000 instance created - 00.010 before deserialization - 01.823 after deserialization - 02.340 before OnFormCreate Which TObject (or TComponent) methods are best suited? Maybe there are other extension points in the form creation process, please feel free to make suggestions. Background: for some of our app forms which have a very basic structure (with some PageControls and QuantumGrids) I realized that it is not database access and other stuff in OnFormShow but the construction which took most of the time (around 2 seconds) which makes me wonder where this time is spent. As a reference object I will also build a mock form which has a similar structure but no code or datamodule connections and measure its creation time.

  • Form Validation using Javascript inside PHP

    - by Mikey1980
    I have a simple problem but no matter what I try I can't see to get it to work. I have a form on a php page and I need to validate the qty value on my form so that it doesn't exceed $qty (value pulled from mySQL) and is not less than zero. Sounds easy--hmm wish it were..lol! I had it checking if the value was numeric and in my attempts to make this work I even broke that--not a good morning..lol! Here's a snip of my Java Fn: <script type='text/javascript'> function checkQty(elem){ var numericExpression = /^[0-9]+$/; if(elem.value.match(numericExpression)){ return true; }else{ alert("Quantity for RMA must be greater than zero and less than original order!"); elem.focus(); return false; } } </script> The function is called from the submit button, onClick: <input type="submit" name="submit" onclick="checkQty(document.getElementById('qty')";"> I've tried: var numericExpression = /^[0-9]+$/; if(elem.value.match(numericExpression) || elem.value < 0 || elem.value > <? int($qty) ?>){ No dice....HELP!?!

  • Semantic Form Markup for Yes or No Questions

    - by sholsinger
    I frequently receive mock-ups of HTML forms with the following prototype: Some long winded yes or no question?   (o) Yes   ( ) No The (o) and ( ) in this prototype represent radio buttons. My personal view is that if the question has only a true or false value then it should be a check box. That said, I have seen this sort of "layout" from almost every designer I've ever worked with. If I were not to question their decision, or question the client's decision, I'd probably mark it up like this: <p class="pseudo_label">Some long winded yes or no question?</p> <input type="radio" name="the_question" id="the_question_yes" value="1"> <label for="the_question_yes" class="after_radio">Yes</label> <input type="radio" name="the_question" id="the_question_no" value="0"> <label for="the_question_no" class="after_radio">No</label> I really don't want to do that. I want to push back and convince them that this should really be a check box and not two radio buttons. But my question is, if I can't convince them – you're welcome to help me try – how should I code that original design requirement such that it is semantic and at least understandable for screen reader users? If I were able to convince my tormentors to change their minds, I would likely code it in the following fashion: <label for="the_question">Some long winded yes or no question?</label> <input type="checkbox" name="the_question" id="the_question" value="1"> What do you think about this issue? Should I push back? Possibly more importantly is either way semantically correct? UPDATE: I have posted a related question on the UI SE per your suggestions. You can find it here: http://ui.stackexchange.com/q/3335/3493

  • Following Domain Driven Design with MVVM/WPF

    - by msfanboy
    Hello, I have plain POCOs here and as INotifyPropertyChanged is a Interface for the Views need its implemented in the ViewModel not the Model. Now I want to show validation errors in the View beside every textbox the user typed in data. I do not want to implemented the IDataErrorInfo interface in my Models because lets assume I am not allowed to touch them as they come from another Service/Supplier. I do not want to put my IsCustomerFirstNameLenthValid Method into the Model because I could not have access to it or I just dont want to pollute my Models with interface`s having nothing to do there! How can I validate my naked POCO`s in the ViewModel and forward the results to the View by showing validation errors ?

  • How to validate two properties with ASP.NET MVC 2

    - by CodeMonkey
    Hey folks :-) I'm just getting started with ASP.NET MVC 2, and playing around with Validation. Let's say I have 2 properties: Password1 Password2 And I want to require that they are both filled in, and require that both are the same before the model is valid. I have a simple class called "NewUser". How would I implement that? I've read about ValidationAttribute, and understand that. But I don't see how I would use that to implement a validation that compares two or more properties against eathother. Thanks in advance!

  • How can I add a plugin to the registry while using a Zend_Form?

  • asp.net mvc ajax form helper/post additional data

    - by Jopache
    I would like to use the ajax helper to create ajax requests that send additional, dynamic data with the post (for example, get the last element with class = blogCommentDateTime and send the value of that last one to the controller which will return only blog comments after it). I have successfully done so with the help of jQuery Form plugin like so: $(document).ready(function () { $("#addCommentForm").submit(function () { var lastCommentDate = $(".CommentDateHidden:last").val(); var lastCommentData = { lastCommentDateTicks: lastCommentDate }; var formSubmitParams = { data: lastCommentData, success: AddCommentResponseHandler } $("#addCommentForm").ajaxSubmit(formSubmitParams); return false; }); This form was created with html.beginform() method. I am wondering if there is an easy way to do this using the ajax.beginform() helper? When I try to use the same code but replace html.beginform() with ajax.beginform(), when i try to submit the form, I am issuing 2 posts (which is understandable, one being taken care of by the helper, the other one by me with the JS above. I can't create 2 requests, so this option is out) I tried getting rid of the return false and changing ajaxSubmit() to ajaxForm() so that it would only "prepare" the form, and this leads in only one post, but it does not include the extra parameter that I defined, so this is worthless as well. I then tried keeping the ajaxForm() but calling that whenever the submit button on the form gets clicked rather than when the form gets submitted (I guess this is almost the same thing) and that results in 2 posts also. The biggest reason I am asking this question is that I have run in to some issues with the javascript above and using mvc validation provided by the mvc framework (which i will set up another question for) and would like to know this so I can dive further in to my validation issue.

  • Generating a error code per property in Hibernate validator

    - by Mike Q
    Hi all, I am looking at using hibernate validator for a requirement of mine. I want to validate a bean where properties may have multiple validation checks. e.g. class MyValidationBean { @NotNull @Length( min = 5, max = 10 ) private String myProperty; } But if this property fails validation I want a specific error code to be associated with the ConstraintViolation, regardless of whether it failed because of @Required or @Length, although I would like to preserve the error message. class MyValidationBean { @NotNull @Length( min = 5, max = 10 ) @ErrorCode( "1234" ) private String myProperty; } Something like the above would be good but it doesn't have to be structured exactly like that. I can't see a way to do this with hibernate validator. Is it possible? Thanks.

  • MS Access 2003 - Save button enabling on form open on different tabs

    - by Justin
    I have a tab control on a form, and a couple different tabs have save buttons on them. Once the user saves data (via SQL statements in VBA), I set the .enabled = false so that they cannot use this button again until moving to a brand new record (which is a button click on the overall form). so when my form open i was going to reference a sub that enabled all these save buttons because the open event would mean new record. though i get an error that says it either does not exist, or is closed. any ideas? thanks EDIT: Sub Example() error handling Dim db as dao.database dim rs as dao.recordset dim sql as string SQL = "INSERT INTO tblMain (Name, Address, CITY) VALUES (" if not isnull (me.name) then sql = sql & """" & me.name & """," else sql = sql & " NULL," end if if not insull(me.adress) then sql = sql & " """ & me.address & """," else sql = sql & " NULL," end if if not isnull(me.city) then sql = sql & " """ & me.city & """," else sql = sql & " NULL," end if 'debug.print(sql) set db = currentdb db.execute (sql) MsgBox "Changes were successfully saved" me.MyTabCtl.Pages.Item("SecondPage").setfocus me.cmdSaveInfo.enabled = false and then on then the cmdSave needs to get re enabled on a new record (which by the way, this form is unbound), so it all happens when the form is re-opened. I tried this: Sub Form_Open() me.cmdSaveInfo.enabled = true End Sub and this is where I get the error stated above. So this is also not the tab that has focus when the form opens. Is that why I get this error? I cannot enable or disable a control when the tab is not showing?

Here's a snip of my Java Fn: <script type='text/javascript'> function checkQty(elem){ var numericExpression = /^[0-9]+$/; if(elem.value.match(numericExpression)){ return true; }else{ alert("Quantity for RMA must be greater than zero and less than original order!"); elem.focus(); return false; } } </script> The function is called from the submit button, onClick: <input type="submit" name="submit" onclick="checkQty(document.getElementById('qty')";"> I've tried: var numericExpression = /^[0-9]+$/; if(elem.value.match(numericExpression) || elem.value < 0 || elem.value > <? int($qty) ?>){ No dice....HELP!?!

  • How to exclude read only fields using :input in jquery?

    - by melaos
    hi guys, thus far i've only been using some basic jquery selectors and functions. but i'm looking at this clear form function and i can't figure out how to add it so i can remove hidden inputs and readonly input from getting cleared. can anybody help? thanks. function clearForm(form) { // iterate over all of the inputs for the form // element that was passed in $(':input', form).each(function() { var type = this.type; var tag = this.tagName.toLowerCase(); // normalize case // it's ok to reset the value attr of text inputs, // password inputs, and textareas if (type == 'text' || type == 'password' || tag == 'textarea') this.value = ""; // checkboxes and radios need to have their checked state cleared // but should *not* have their 'value' changed else if (type == 'checkbox' || type == 'radio') this.checked = false; // select elements need to have their 'selectedIndex' property set to -1 // (this works for both single and multiple select elements) else if (tag == 'select') this.selectedIndex = -1; }); };
