The problem is that the page will pop-out the download, and you can save it, but it will not allow another form submit. i was thinking of doing a page refresh after the submit. Anyway on my default page I have a query webpart showing the latest items and what I need is just a button at the top of the page "Add new item" which would show the popup and allow users to complete the form just like it works on the display list items form. At present it is the last thing to load (due to the text position) and as it's quite an obvious part of the page I get a huge mash-up of text replacement all in a quick flurry which is not very appealing.
