  • Drawing with element array in OpenGL ES

    Hello! I am trying to use OpenGLES to draw a x by y matrix of squares about an arbitrary point.     Hi I'm trying to learn to rename files with the command line, and after browsing around a lot of pages I finally found a command that uppercases the first letter of a file, but the problem is that I want to understand the meaning of each command. The command is: for i in *; do new=echo "$i" | sed -e 's/^./\U&/'; mv "$i" "$new";done I understand the 'for' kinda... but not the 'echo' or '`' and especially the sed command. if someone has a little patience to explain the meaning of each thing that'd be awesome!     I am having a windows application interacting with DB2 database. In my application i have code to execute some DB2 commands through command line interface. I have used windowsAPI "ShellExecuteEx()" to execute those DB2 commands through command line. Following is the code written to execute DB2 command through command line. string command = "/c /w /i DB2 UNCATALOG NODE DB_DATABASE "" test.log | echo %date% %time% test.log SHELLEXECUTEINFO shellInfo; ZeroMemory(&shellInfo, sizeof(shellInfo)); shellInfo.cbSize = sizeof(shellInfo); shellInfo.fMask = SEE_MASK_FLAG_NO_UI | SEE_MASK_NOCLOSEPROCESS; //shellInfo.lpFile = "db2cmd"; shellInfo.lpFile = "db2cmd"; shellInfo.lpParameters = command.c_str(); The code is executed successfully , however if test.log is observered i only get result of DB2 command and not date and time. If you see the above command there is "|" pipe operator and echo command to log date and time in test.log Please note that if I execute above DB2 command through separately command line i.e. not through code. I am able to view date and time log along with DB2 command result in test.log. Following is the full command which i executed through command line. DB2CMD /c /i /w DB2 UNCATALOG NODE DB_DATABASE "" test.log | echo %date% %time% test.log According to me since DB2 command is executed successfully through code, there is problem with only usage of "|" pipe operator or echo command.

    A task: To find all new files and subfolders under some root folder (let us say Documents) and to copy them to other disk (j: in this case) Command line used: robocopy c:\users\valery\documents j:\robocopy /XO /E /MAXAGE:20131030 /XD Result: A full folders tree created. Only new files copyed, as supposed. It's good A point is, that I do not want to create all subfolders on a target disk, if there are no new files in them.     I'm looking for an algorithm to flip a 1 Bit Bitmap line horizontally. Remember these lines are DWORD aligned! I'm currently unencoding an RLE stream to an 8 bit-per-pixel buffer, then re-encoding to a 1 bit line, however, I would like to try and keep it all in the 1 bit space in an effort to increase its speed.   • Some $_SERVER parameters missing when accessing PHP script via Cron

    I have a script that I need to run with PHP via cron. The original author of the script made a lot of user of certain $_SERVER parameters (like REQUEST_URI). But it appears that certain variables don't exist when running PHP via command line or via CRON. For example, there is no request uri, so it makes sense that the REQUEST_URI parameter wouldn't be available. Is there any way around this other than to completely rewrite the script in order to avoid using special $_SERVER parameters that aren't universally available?

    Hi everyone, I would like to know is there any way to determine if a cone is intersecting with a (finite)line segment. The cone actually a circle located at P(x,y) with theta degree field of view and radius r. The simple visualization can be found here (sorry i can't post the picture here) I'm trying to do it in C# but I don't have any idea how to that, so for now this is what I'm doing : Check if the line segment is intersecting with the circle If the line segment is intersecting with the circle then I check every single point in the line segment using a function I found here. But I don't think this is the best way to do it. Does anyone have an idea? For additional info, I need this function to make some kind of simple vision simulator. Thanks in advance :)

  • Need help automating a task in Linux

    I'm still kind of new to Linux, but here's what I'm trying to do. I need to copy all subdirectories and files from one directory to another ever 5 minutes or so, with the old data automatically being overwritten with the new data. I'd also like this to run at startup. Is there any way this can be done? If so, what program would I need to schedule the automation and what is the command line I would need (cp ???).   • Create a term-document matrix from files

    I have a set of files from example001.txt to example100.txt. Each file contains a list of keywords from a superset (the superset is available if we want it). So example001.txt might contain apple banana ... otherfruit I'd like to be able to process these files and produce something akin to a matrix so there is the list of examples* on the top row, the fruit down the side, and a '1' in a column if the fruit is in the file.   • Erase part of RenderTarget when drawing primitives?

    I'm creating a paint like application using XNA. I have a render target which acts as a canvas. When the user draws something I draw corresponding triangles using DrawUserPrimitives and triangle strips to make lines and other curves. I want to implement an eraser in the application, so that the user can erase the triangles from the texture. I've used OpenGL in the past and there I would just use a blend function like so: glBlendFunc(GL_ZERO, GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); How would I do this in XNA? I tried setting the GraphicsDevice blend mode to AlphaBlend, Additive, etc.. but it did not work. Any ideas? Thanks!

There might be some data already in the first few lines, or the file could even be empty.
