• Change the height of a list item when it's in edit mode

  I have custom list item renderers and editors for a List control. I need for the editor to have a greater height then the renderer, i.e., the row should expand(in height) when it goes into edit mode. However, even when the list's variableRowHeight is set to true, it doesn't do what I want: the height seems to be based on the height of the renderer only, not the editor. Is there any way to do what I want?

  I have a struct, with a Name and a single Node called nextName It's a Singly Linked list, and my task is to create the list, based on alphabetical order of the strings. So iff i enter Joe Zolt and Arthur i should get my list structured as Joe Than Joe Zolt Than Arthur Joe Zolt I'm having trouble implementing the correct Algorithm, which would put the pointers in the right order. This is What I have as of Now. Temp would be the name the user just entered and is trying to put into the list, namebox is just a copy of my root, being the whole list if(temp != NULL) { struct node* namebox = root; while (namebox!=NULL && (strcmp((namebox)->name,temp->name) <= 0)) { namebox = namebox->nextName; printf("here"); } temp->nextName = namebox; namebox = temp; root = namebox; This Works right now, if i enter names like CCC BBB than AAA I Get Back AAA BBB CCC when i print But if i put AAA BBB CCC , When i print i only get CCC, it cuts the previous off.

• Copying part of a string in C

  This seems like it should be really simple, but for some reason, I'm not getting it to work. I have a string called seq, which looks like this: ala ile val I want to take the first 3 characters and copy them into a different string. I use the command: memcpy(fileName, seq, 3 * sizeof(char)); That should make fileName = "ala", right? But for some reason, I get fileName = "ala9". I'm currently working around it by just saying fileName[4] = '\0', but was wondering why I'm getting that 9. Note: After changing seq to ala ile val ser and rerunning the same code, fileName becomes "alaK". Not 9 anymore, but still an erroneous character.

What I want to do is create string of given length with made of up multiples of another string up to that length So for length - 9 and input string "xxx" I get "xxxxxxxxx" (ie length 9) for a nun integral multiple then I'd like to truncate the line. I can do this using loops and a StringBuilder easily but I'm looking to see if the language can express this idea easily. (FYI I'm making easter maths homework for my son)

  Duplicate of 249087 I have a bunch of user generated addresses that may contain characters with diacritic marks. What is the most effective (i.e. generic) way (apart from a straightforward replace) to automatically convert any such characters to their closest English equivalent? E.g. any of àâãäå would become a æ would become the two separate letters ae ç would become c any of èéêë would become e etc. for all possible letter variations (preferably without having to find and encode lookups for each diacritic form of the letter). (Note: I have to pass these addresses on to third party software that is incapable of printing anything other than English characters. I'd rather the software was capable of handling them, but I have no control over that.) EDIT: Never mind... Found the answer [here][2]. It showed up in the "Related" section to the right of the question after I posted, but not in my prior search or as a pre-post suggestion. Hmm.   I'm trying to create an "snippet" from a paragraph. I have a long paragraph of text with a word hilighted in the middle. I want to get the line containing the word before that line and the line after that line. I have the following piece of information: The text (in a string) The lines are deliminated by a NEWLINE character \n I have the index into the string of the text I want to hilight A couple other criteria: If my word falls on first line of the paragraph, it should show the 1st 3 lines If my word falls on the last line of the paragraph, it should show the last 3 lines Should show the entire paragraph in the degenative cases (the paragraph only has 1 or 2 lines) Here's an example: This is the 1st line of CAT text in the paragraph This is the 2nd line of BIRD text in the paragraph This is the 3rd line of MOUSE text in the paragraph This is the 4th line of DOG text in the paragraph This is the 5th line of RABBIT text in the paragraph Example, if my index points to BIRD, it should show lines 1, 2, & 3 as one complete string like this: This is the 1st line of CAT text in the paragraph This is the 2nd line of BIRD text in the paragraph This is the 3rd line of MOUSE text in the paragraph If my index points to DOG, it should show lines 3, 4, & 5 as one complete string like this: This is the 3rd line of MOUSE text in the paragraph This is the 4th line of DOG text in the paragraph This is the 5th line of RABBIT text in the paragraph etc. Anybody want to help tackle this?
