  • Hybrid Exchange Online setup with on premise public folders, certificate issues?

    - by exxoid
We have a Hybrid Exchange setup with Exchange Online (v15 tenant) and Exchange 2010 on premise. The hybrid configuration for the most part is working, what I am having an issue with is getting public folders to work for cloud users. I followed the official documentation here (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn249373(v=exchg.150).aspx) and it kind of works. When I am accessing Outlook on a public wifi I am able to bring up the cloud mailboxes and on premise public folders show up in Outlook. When I am accessing email via Outlook as a cloud user on the same LAN as the on premise exchange, the cloud user makes the outlook.com connection for live/ad/archive mailbox but fails to create a proxy connection for the on premise public folders. The error I get is a certificate mismatch, it seems that when a user on the LAN accesses Outlook/Exchange it is using a different certificate vs. when Outlook is launched on a WiFi network. When I look at the Outlook connection information, I see the connection to outlook.com for ad/live/archive mailbox but no entry for public folder connection. Our on premise Exchange is 2010 SP3 with latest CUs. The client is a domain joined laptop with Windows 7 and Office 2010 SP2, latest windows updates applied. Our infrastructure has a working ADFS 3 and DirSync setup for Office 365. My question then is, what do I need to do to make sure that the Cloud user launching Outlook on the LAN uses the proper certificate (the wildcard 3rd party cert.. vs. the self signed certificate which it looks like it may be using during the connection attempt).

  • How to setup apache to catch a proxy_pass from nginx?

    - by Paté
I have a working apache vhost such as <VirtualHost localhost:10006> DocumentRoot "/home/pate/***/git/kohana_site/public/site/" </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:10006> ServerName api.* DocumentRoot "/home/pate/***/git/kohana_site/public/api/" LogLevel debug </VirtualHost> If i point to localhost:10006 I get my website and api.localhost:10006 I get my api. Then I have haproxy setup on top of that, that runs on port 10010 and both localhost:10010 and api.localhost:10010 have the expected behaviour. Now I have nginx setup on port 80 with this configuration. server { listen 10000; server_name api.*; location / { proxy_pass http://legacy_server; } } server { listen 10000 default; server_name _; location /nginx_status { stub_status on; access_log off; } # images are accessed via the CDN over HTTP (not https) location /n/image { proxy_pass http://image_caching_server; } location / { return 301 https://$host:10014$request_uri; } } upstream legacy_server { server localhost:10010 fail_timeout=0; } the problem is that apache does not recognize the vhost properly and redirects api.localhost to the website instead of the api. I tried playing with set_proxy_header Host $host but it doesn't seem to do anything.

  • How do i Setup a Mac OS X Server - NameServer behind an Airport Extreme?

    - by basilmir
I have a Mac mini server i want to setup to host a couple of things. My setup is as follows: The WAN connection (static IP and ISP nameservers) goes into the wan port of the Airport Extreme. The Mac mini server is connected to one of the ethernet ports. The mac mini will host my domain something.com. My settings so far: Airport Express gets: 96.x.x.x as the external static IP from the ISP 174.y.y.y as the nameserver Mac mini server always gets a reserved DHCP IP from the Airport Express: 10.0.1.3 is the server's ip 10.0.1.1 as the dns (this ip is the airport express itself) My dns server has an A record pointing to ns.something.com and a PTR doing the reverse. I've already added my 96.x.x.x to point ns.something.com with my registrar as attached. NOW: Nobody seems to be able to access my ns.something.com to resolve any of my records. From a any computer in my network I CAN see my ns and everything works. The outside on the other hand does not... it's as if the airport extreme which "holds" the exterior 94.x.x.x address doesn't pass DNS along to my 10.0.1.3 ns server. I have the server managing the airport. Isn't this supposed to work?

  • ASA 5505 VPN setup. VPN works but still unable to reach devices in the inside network.

    - by chickenloop
I've setup a Remote Access VPN on my Cisco ASA 5505. I'm able to connect to my ASA via my phone or the Cisco client, but I'm unable to reach devices in my inside LAN when connected via VPN. The setup is the following: Inside Network : 10.0.0.0/24 VPN_POOL: 172.16.0.0/24 Outside Network: 192.168.1.0/24 ASA is not the perimeter router, there is another device on the 192.168.1.0/24 network which is connected to my cable provider. Obviously UDP port 500 and 4500 are forwarded to the ASA's outside interface. Everything works perfectly, besides the VPN stuff. Config: interface Vlan1 nameif inside security-level 100 ip address 10.0.0.254 255.255.255.0 interface Vlan2 description Outside Interface nameif outside security-level 0 address 192.168.1.254 255.255.255.0 object network VPNPOOL subnet 172.16.0.0 255.255.255.0 object network INSIDE_LAN subnet 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 Then the exempt NAT rule. nat (inside, outside) source static INSIDE_LAN INSIDE_LAN destination static VPNPOOL VPNPOOL I don't think that the problem is with the VPN config, as I can successfully establish the VPN connection, but just in case I post it here: group-policy ZSOCA_ASA internal group-policy ZSOCA_ASA attributes vpn-tunnel-protocol ikev1 split-tunnel-policy tunnelspecified split-tunnel-network-list value Split-Tunnel default-domain value default.domain.invalid tunnel-group ZSOCA_ASA type remote-access tunnel-group ZSOCA_ASA general-attributes address-pool VPNPOOL default-group-policy ZSOCA_ASA tunnel-group ZSOCA_ASA ipsec-attributes ikev1 pre-shared-key ***** Any ideas are welcome. • How to setup IIS 7.5 Reverse Proxy for quite a few internal servers - Server Farm?

    - by Tim Murphree
I have tried for a few days, but I'm lost. Here's what I'm trying to do: I want to setup an IIS 7.5 as a Reverse Proxy for about 30 internal HTTP servers, located on my internal LAN. Everything is running on port 80. The internal servers are really IP based webcams. Here is scenario: www.mycamserver.com/cam1 192.168.1.101 www.mycamserver.com/cam2 192.168.1.102 and so on, until.. www.mycamserver.com/cam30 192.168.1.130 I have installed ARR and URL Rewrite. So far, I have managed, at one time, to seem to forward an incoming URL to an internal server, but the page would not fully load (error 404). Also, I setup a Server Farm, but it seems all traffic is now set to the first node on the Server Farm (192.168.1.101). However, at least the page loads and runs correctly. I simply want to do an exact match, for example, "cam14", and reverse-proxy / rewrite to a corresponding internal server address - "192.168.1.114".

  • Ubuntu 14.04:LTS , HPLIP loses USB connection to HP laserjet

    - by Gareth
This is my first post, so please let me know if i have inadvertanly broken any rules. Problem There seems to be a problem with HPLIP and USB connections in ubuntu 14.04LTS. After upgrading i managed to get the printing to work but today it has broken. Initial Issue (Solved) After upgrading to unbutntu 14.04 LTS my printer lHP LaserJet 1018 stopped printing (code=12) Looking through the Forumsthere are several issues with printitng and HPLIP so I was able to troubleshoot this. The steps I took were : Reran HPdoctor Ran hp-check Un-installed and installed the latest version of HPLIP (3.14.4) Checked the USB connections lsusb and lsusb-v Re-ran hpcheck Removed the printer from HPLIP Re-ran hpcheck Manually configued HPLIP to the printer hp-setup-g <xxx:yyy> And this worked HPLIP was able to see the printer in the USB , test page printed and was happily working for a few weeks. Current Issue Printer Not working However today my wife complains the printer is not working and checking see that although HPLIP has the same error code and did not seem to be able to see the printer although running lsusb could see the printer. Initially thought this may be due to usb given a new bus/device after being turned on and off and went to repeat the steps above at the moment still seeing an error in that the HPLIP is complaining that it cannot see the device **error: Device not found. Please make sure your printer is properly connected and powered-on.** current Observations lsusb output ## Bus 002 Device 007: ID 03f0:4117 Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 1018 sudo hp-check output *> "duan@duan-Lenovo-B550:~$ sudo hp-check [sudo] password for duan: Saving output in log file: /home/duan/hp-check.log HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.14.4) Dependency/Version Check Utility ver. 15.1 Copyright (c) 2001-13 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP This software comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. • Permission denied after creating home partition

    - by Magnus
I have recently created a separate home partition following this tutorial https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Partitioning/Home/Moving. Since I’m still a newbie in the Linux (struggling to learn) I felt happy when every thing seemed to work smooth. How ever, I realised after a while that I had lost all permission to my subfolders in the my home folder. I still can read/write the files placed directly in /home/magnus but I'm denied access to any of the subfolders. I just realised one more disturbing thing, probably related to home-partition story above: When I try cd ~/Music/ I get the message bash: cd: /home/magnus/Music/: Permission denied When I try: sudo cd ~/Music/ I get the result sudo: cd: command not found Seems strange that the cd command have been lost? What have I done wrong and is there a way to fix this? btw: I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Thanks for all the help! Magnus

  • Hard disk error

    - by Nadim A. Hachem
I got this error during installation. "The installer encountered an error copying files to the hard disk: [Errno 5] Input/output error This is often due to a faulty CD/DVD disk or drive, or a faulty hard disk. It may help to clean the CD/DVD, to burn the CD/DVD at a lower speed, to clean the CD/DVD drive lens (cleaning kits are often available from electronics suppliers), to check whether the hard disk is old and in need of replacement, or to move the system to a cooler environment." how can i fix this and what does it mean specifically? i'm installing via usb so it can't be the CD. the laptop is recent so it cant be an old HD.

  • Including an embedded framework using a cross-project-reference: Header no such file or directory

    - by d11wtq
I'm trying to create a Cocoa framework by using a cross-project reference in Xcode. I have 2 projects: one for the framework; one for the application that will use the framework. This framework is not intended to be stored within the system; it is an embedded framework that lives within the application bundle. I have successfully made the cross-project reference, marked the framework as being a dependency of my target, added a Copy Files build phase that puts the framework in Contents/Frameworks/ and added the framework to the linker phase (I checked the little "Target" checkbox; I've also done it manually by dragging the framework into the linker phase). My framework's install directory is correctly set to @executable_path/../Frameworks. However, when I try to build my app it: a) Correctly builds the framework first b) Correctly copies the framework c) Errors because it cannot find the master header file in my framework I have verified that the header is there. I can see it in the app product that is partially built. ls build/Debug/CioccolataTest.webapp/Contents/Frameworks/Cioccolata.framework/Headers/Cioccolata.h build/Debug/CioccolataTest.webapp/Contents/Frameworks/Cioccolata.framework/Headers/Cioccolata.h I have been able to successfully build the app by copying my framework into /Library/Frameworks (I can then delete it again after the successful build), but this is a workaround, I'm looking to find it out why Xcode doesn't find the framework's master header file without it being copied to a system directory. Is copying it to the app bundle during the build not sufficient? Here's the full build transcript if it's any help (it's just a Hello World app right now, so not much going on here): Build Cioccolata of project Cioccolata with configuration Debug SymLink • How can I setup a simple custom route using Zend Framework's Zend_Application?

    - by Billy ONeal
I'm looking to setup a custom route which supplies implicit parameter names to a Zend_Application. Essentially, I have an incoming URL which looks like this: /StandardSystems/Dell/LatitudeE6500 I'd like that to be mapped to the StandardsystemsController, and I'd like that controller to be passed parameters "make" => "Dell" and "model" => "LatitudeE6500". How can I setup such a system using Zend_Application?

  • How does the setup bootstrapper detect if prerequisites are installed?

    - by Marek
Trying to solve this problem. I would like to learn how the bootstrapper detects if prerequisites (specifically .NET 3.5) are installed. According to this reference, a way to detect if .NET is installed is to check the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v3.5 Using process monitor, I have inspected registry queries done by the bootstrapper (setup.exe) and it did not show any access to this registry key. Does anybody know how the bootstrapper determines whether the prerequisites are installed on the target system?

  • What's ideal debugging setup? window placement etc.

    - by Padmarag
I am interested in knowing Debugging setup that'll allow me to be most productive. I am mainly interested in knowing how and where you place different windows like the variables window, code window, the stack. Also possibly the relative size of different windows. I'd prefer if there are screenshots attached and a description of why the setup works for you. I mainly use Eclipse and Netbeans. PS: I am open to making this community wiki if needed.

  • SBS2003 to SBS2011 Migration - Installation Error

    - by Shawn Gradwell
Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 to 2011 Migration. I followed the Migration Guide from Microsoft and the source server had no errors when running the various tests prior to the migration. I have completed the destination server setup using the Answer File and the server is up and running. It all looks good, I can access Exchange and AD and the only problem is the error message when you log in stating that the setup did not complete and to check the logs. Because all looks good I am continuing the migration to the destination server. I also have to state that this client does not use Sharepoint at all. Do I have to redo everything? • Clients not updating with approved updates from WSUS

    - by Ross
Hi All, I've been a bit behind in my windows XP updates recently, and I have about 18 or so I need to roll out to all our users, according to WSUS. I'm trying it on a couple of test PCs, and so far i've had no luck. On each one, one update would install (and need a reboot), and nothing else since. When I run wuauclt.exe /detectnow, I get this in the windowsupdate.log: 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 93c AU Triggering AU detection through DetectNow API 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 93c AU Triggering Online detection (non-interactive) 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 504 AU ############# 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 504 AU ## START ## AU: Search for updates 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 504 AU ######### 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 504 AU <<## SUBMITTED ## AU: Search for updates [CallId = {59353978-CBA7-4B0B-AFD3-515577D3C16B}] 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 a14 Agent ************* 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 a14 Agent ** START ** Agent: Finding updates [CallerId = AutomaticUpdates] 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 a14 Agent ********* 2009-10-29 17:27:10:624 1128 a14 Agent * Online = Yes; • Need to setup an office network, suggest some hardware?

    - by Yegor
We have 6 windows workstations, spread out over a fairly large area. Need to share a DSL connection (upgrading to 100/100 mbit fiber in a few months) with these machines over a 1gbit network. Also need Wifi to be available for laptop use. Plan to add 2 rackmount servers for internal use as well. Can someone suggest a decent (preferably low cost) setup that will let me achieve the stuff mentioned above.

  • When connecting to a unix box, how does it know you have SSH setup on your desktop?

    - by Blankman
When you use something like putty to connect to a linux box, and you setup your SSH keys etc. When connecting, how does it tell the server that you want to connect using your SSH keys? Is SSH running as a service on a particular port or does it simply pass your private-key and then the login service sees that and tries to connect using it? Just looking for a fairly high level understanding (with maybe some detail if you want to...)
